
GRINDING GUIDE
1. Determine how many beans you need to grind. Start with 1 heaping tablespoon of
beans per (5-oz.) cup of water, and adjust to taste.
2. Do not leave leftover grounds in the grinder.
3. Use the chart below to choose the right neness and grind time for your coffeemaker.
Adjust as necessary for your desired results.
4. CAUTION: Using a ner grind than suited for your lter type can cause clogging and
overow from the coffeemaker.
5. Pulse the activation button rather than holding it down continuously, to prevent the
grounds from overheating and losing avor.
6. After 60 seconds of total grind time, stop and allow the grinder to cool off.

CAUTION:

*Boiler or steam type espresso machines. For pump espresso machines, Epica recommends a burr type grinder.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
DO NOT IMMERSE THE MOTOR BASE IN WATER. DO NOT PUT ANY PARTS IN THE
DISHWASHER.
1. Before cleaning, unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet.
2. Hand wash the cover and stainless steel bowl/blade unit in warm, soapy water. Rinse
and dry completely.
3. Wipe the motor base exterior with a damp cloth or paper towel.
4. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representative.
