When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed
toreducetheriskofre,electricshock,andinjurytopersons,includingthe

1. Readallinstructionsbeforeusingthereplace.
2. Theheaterishotwheninuse.Toavoidburns,donotletbareskintouch
hotsurfaces.Thetrimaroundtheheateroutletbecomeshotduringheater
operation.Keepcombustiblematerials,suchasfurniture,pillows,
bedding,papers,clothes,andcurtainsatleast3feet(0.9m)fromthefront
oftheunit.
CAUTION: High temperature, keep electrical cords, drapery, and other

awayfromthesideandrear.
3. Extremecautionisnecessarywhenanyheaterisusedbyornearchildren
orinvalidsandwhenevertheunitisleftoperatingandunattended.
4. Alwaysunplugthereplacewhennotinuse.
5. Donotoperateanyunitwithadamagedcordorplug,oriftheheaterhas
malfunctioned,orifthereplacehasbeendroppedordamagedinany
manner.Returnheatertoanauthorizedservicefacilityforexamination,
electricalormechanicaladjustment,orrepair.
6. Donotuseoutdoors.
7. Thereplaceisnotintendedforuseinbathrooms,laundryareasand
similarindoorlocations.Neverlocateheaterwhereitmayfallintoa
bathtuborotherwatercontainer.
8. Donotrunthecordundercarpeting.Donotcovercordwiththrowrugs,
runners,orthelike.Arrangecordawayfromtrafcareaandwhereitwill
notbetrippedover.
9. Todisconnecttheunit,turnthecontrolsoff,thenremovetheplugfromthe
outlet.
10. Donotinsertorallowforeignobjectstoenteranyventilationorexhaust
openingasthismaycauseanelectricshockorre,ordamagetothe
heater.
11. Topreventapossiblere,donotblockairintakeorexhaustinany
manner.Donotuseonsoftsurfaces,likeabed,whereopeningsmay
becomeblocked.
12. Allelectricalheatershavehotandarchingorsparkingpartsinside.Donot
useinareaswheregasoline,paint,orammableliquidsareusedorstored
orwheretheunitwillbeexposedtoammablevapors.

required.Adedicatedcircuitispreferredbutnotessentialinall
cases.Adedicatedcircuitwillberequiredif,afterinstallation,the
circuit breaker trips or fuse blows on a regular basis when the
heaterisoperating.Additionalappliancesonthesamecircuitmay
exceedthecurrentratingofthecircuitbreaker.
WARNING: Ensure the power cord is not installed so that it is
pinched or against a sharp edge and ensure that the power cord is

1. Makesuretheunit’sMainON/OFFSwitchisswitchedOFF(refer
tooperatinginstructionsection).

Threeswitchesprovideachoiceofheatsettings.AswitchisintheON
positionwhenthesidewiththemarkingson(i.e.I,II,orII)ispushedin.

Remote Operation
ThereplaceissuppliedwithanintegralON/OFFremotecontrol.
NOTE: EnsurethatthereplaceON/OFFSwitchissettothe
remotecontrolsetting(I.E..II).

To operate: push ONbuttontoturnreplaceon;pushOFF button to
turnreplaceoff.
NOTE:Remotecontroloperatesmainpowersupply.Heatmust
stillbecontrolledbyswitchesonreplace.
Resetting The Temperature Cutoff Switch
Shouldtheheateroverheat,anautomaticcutoutwillturntheheateroff
anditwillnotcomebackonwithoutbeingreset.Itcanberesetby
switchingtheMainON/OFFSwitchtoOFFandwaitingve(5)minutes
beforeswitchingtheunitbackon.
CAUTION: Ifyouneedtocontinuouslyresettheheater,unplugthe
unitandcallcustomerserviceat1-888-346-7539.
Maintenance
WARNING: Always disconnect from the power supply before
attemptinganymaintenance.
Bulb Replacement
Thebulbsarelocatedbehindthebackpanel.
To gain access to the bulbs:
1. Removethesilverscrewthatsecurestheaccesspaneltothe
reboxasindicatedinFigure3.
2. Removeandslideoutpanel.
3. RemovethedefectivelampbyunscrewingitasshowninFigure4.
4. Replacewitha60WattE12clearchandelierorcandelabra.Take
carenottoover-tightenthebulb.
5. Rettheaccesspanelandsecurewiththescrewremovedin
step1.
NOTE:Toremovethereboxinsertpriortorepair,removetheve
(5)blackscrewsatthebackofthereboxasshowninFigure3and
slideitouttothefront.
