General Information

Installation, assembly, electrical

connection and first commissioning

are the responsibility of an authorised

specialist. He/she bears responsibility

for its appropriate execution.

Information for operator

The safety and functioning of the gas

boiler appliance are maintained, if the

annex is regularly serviced by a

heating specialist.

To ensure a regular procedure,

conclusion of a service contract is

recommended.

Prior to installation of the EURON

boiler appliance, the agreement of

the gas supply company and the

district’smaster chimney sweep

must be obtained.

Clarification of our warranty

conditions

Faults arising from the following are

excluded from our warranty:

-inappropriate or incorrect use or

service

-incorrect assembly and/or

commissioning by purchaser or

third party

-introduction of parts of alien origin

-operation of mechanism with

excessive pressure or beyond the

factory power ratings

-Use of inappropriate fuel

-Failureto observe the information

in the manual and the instruction

Heating circuit water quality

The composition and quality of the

system water have a direct influence on

the performance of the whole system

and the life of the boiler.

On first filling and subsequent feed of

the mechanism tap water with pH

balance 7-8 can be used in normal

circumstances, as long as strong

corrosives (chloride content

>150 mg/l) or very hard water

(>14°dH; hardness IV) are not involved.

An analysis of the drinking water can

be requested from the appropriate

water supply company.

If the specific installation volume is

greater than 20 litre/kW heat output

(e.g. through the fitting of a hot water

tank), then the max. appropriate entry

of limescale in the fill-up and make-up

water must be determined according to

the calculations of the VDI Guidelines

2035. Wherenecessary softening of

the fill-up water must be carried out.

No chemical anti-corrosion medium

should be introduced.

For Austria ÖNORM H 5195-1 applies

additionally.

Unidentified water quality and

replacement equipment

Frequently solids and additives are

found in the heating circuit water,

which affect the function and life of

the burner appliance.

Therefore either

• prior to changing equipment heat

up the old system and thereafter

completely discharge

•prior to changing equipment,

carefully flush the heating system.

It is best to flush the equipment

immediately before initial heating up.

Underfloor heating

With oxygen-rich hoses underfloor

heating can be connected directly. It is

essential to incorporate a temperature

monitor for the underfloor heating,

which protects the

hoses/flooring from overheating.

If the outlet of the underfloor heating

is not known, (e.g. with replacement

equipment), a system-separator

between boiler and underfloor heating

must be installed by means of a heat

exchanger (auxiliary equipment).

Minimum clearances

For servicing of heating appliance the

minimum clearances specified in the

diagram must be observed.

Wall mounting

Mount the heating appliance with the

aid of the positioning device and a

spirit level*.

Affix the metal bracket to the wall by

means of the expansion anchor to be

used and hang the heating appliance.

Connections

Gas connection

The heating appliance is designed to

belong to the following categories for

the use of gas types.

Ensure by means of the name plates

to be found on the packaging and the

appliance that the heating appliance is

intended for the country in which it is

to be installed and that the gas

category corresponds to one of the

appropriate categories in the intended

country.

The gas inlet must be manufactured

and measured according to the

relevant specific regulations as well as

the maximum output of the equipment;

check also the correct calculation and

conection of the stop valve.

Before installation, the gas line should

be thoroughly cleaned, so that any

residues do not impair the functional

efficiency of the heating appliance.

Over and above this, it should be

further guaranteed that the type of gas

used is suitable for the heating

appliance (see name plate in the

interior of the appliance). Check the

required gas pressure (natural gas or

liquid gas).

Water connection

All connections for water and gas are

evident from the illustration (page 8).

Ensure that the highest pressure of the

water conduit network does not

exceed 6 bar; with highest pressure

values a pressure reducing valve must

beinstalled.

The minimum pressure needed by the

appropriate devices for processing of

hot service water is about 0,2 bar.

On sizing the pipes and the heating

element of the appliance, the value of

the remaining conveyor height level

must be considered depending on the

required flow in accordance with the

values represented in the curve

picture (page 12) of the circulation

pump.

With combi appliance (type HSG) flow

limiters are built into the water switch.

This provides for a constant flow of

service water

(EURON 24 HSG = 8 Litre/Minute

EURON 30 HSG (only for Belgium)

=10 Litre/Minute).

Underfloor heating

For underfloor heating, attach a

suitable safety thermostat to the

supply.

-Remove the bridge from the clamps

(X3-01), which are situated on the

left of the instrument panel housing,

and attach the safety thermostats

for the floor heating to it.

Too high a flow temperature leads to

an operating lockout of the heating

appliance both in the service water

and in the heating operation; the error

code "110" appears on the display.

Operation is resumed by pressing the

RESET "6" key (page 28), after the

flow temperaturehas dropped.
