CARTA DE ENTREGA

Las bombas centrífugas verticales IM se fabrican conforme a

la Directiva de Máquinas 2006/42/CE. Por consiguiente, no

presentan peligros para el operador si se usan siguiendo las

instrucciones recogidas en este manual.

El manual debe conservarse en buen estado y adjuntarse a

la máquina para futuras consultas del encargado de mante-

nimiento.

El Fabricante no asume responsabilidad alguna en caso de

modicación, alteración indebida, aplicaciones incorrectas o

cualesquiera otras operaciones efectuadas sin respetar las

indicaciones de este manual que puedan causar daños a la

seguridad o la salud de las personas, animales o cosas cer-

canas a la bomba.

El Fabricante espera que las prestaciones de las bombas

centrífugas verticales IM satisfagan plenamente el uso para

el que sean destinadas.

Todos los valores técnicos se reeren a las bombas IM están-

dar (ver “CARACTERÍSTICAS TÉCNICAS), pero se recuerda

que, debido a la constante actividad de innovación y desar-

rollo de cualidades tecnológicas, las características indicadas

FOREWORD

The IM vertical, centrifugal pumps have been manufactured

in accordance with the 2006/42/CE. Therefore, when used

according to the instructions contained in this manual, the IM

pumps will not pose any risk to the operator.

This manual must be kept in good conditions and/or be kept

with the machine as a reference. The manufacturer declines any

liability concerning any changes, tampering, incorrect use or op-

eration not complying with the contents of this manual that may

constitute a health and safety hazard to people, animals or

property nearby the pump. The Manufacturer trusts you will take

full advantage of the performance offered by IM vertical pumps.

All technical parameters refer to the standard IM models (please

see “TECHNICAL FEATURES”). However, constant search for

innovation and technological quality may change the features

herein detailed without prior notice.

All drawings and all the documentation supplied with the pump

are property of the Manufacturer, who reserves itself all rights

and FORBIDS distribution to third parties without his authori-

zation in writing.

INTRODUCCIÓN AL MANUAL

Este manual es parte integrante de la bomba, es un DISPOSI-

TIVO DE SEGURIDAD y contiene información importante para

que el comprador y su personal instalen, utilicen y mantengan

en constante estado de buen funcionamiento y seguridad la

bomba durante toda su vida. Al comienzo de cada Capítulo

y de cada sección se ha creado una línea de estado que, a

través de símbolos, indica el personal habilitado para la inter-

vención, las protecciones individuales obligatorias y el estado

energético de la bomba.

El riesgo residual durante la operación se indica con símbolos

especícos integrados con texto.

Grácamente, en el interior del manual, se utilizarán símbolos

para señalar y diferenciar particulares informaciones o suge-

rencias que se dan con nes de la seguridad y del correcto

manejo de la bomba.

PARA CUALQUIER ACLARACIÓN EN RELACIÓN CON EL

CONTENIDO DE ESTE MANUAL, CONTACTAR AL SERVI-

CIO DE ASISTENCIA DEL FABRICANTE.

INTRODUCTION

This manual is an integral part of the pump, and represents

a SAFETY DEVICE. It contains important information that

will assist the purchaser and his personnel in installing, us-

ing and maintaining the pump in safe and in good conditions

during its life.

At the beginning of each chapter and section there is a status

bar: its symbols state the personnel qualied for the operation/

s in question, the compulsory individual protective devices to

wear and/or the power state of the pump. Any other hazard that

may occur during operations is highlighted by special symbols

embedded in the text.

Special identication symbols are used to highlight and differ-

entiate particular information or suggestions concerning safety

and correct use of the pump.

to electrical operations: connection, standard maintenance

and/or repairs.

EXTRA-ORDINARY OPERATIONS: identies work

reserved for assistance service technicians and

that must only be carried out in the manufacturer’s

workshop.

adeguata preparazione tecnica unita a cognizioni

Para cualquier comunicación con el fabricante, el concesionario

o los centros de asistencia autorizados, indicar los datos que

de identicación de la bomba, así como los datos

en ella recogidos.

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA BOMBA

Uso previsto

Las bombas centrífugas verticales en resina IM han sido pro-

yectadas y construidas para el bombeo en cuba de líquidos

con viscosidad aparente de 1 a 500 cps, de materiales com-

patibles químicamente con los componentes con que se ha

construido la bomba.

El funcionamiento de la bomba se permite con temperaturas

de funcionamiento del uido de +3ºC hasta un máximo de 95º;

en función del tipo de material de composición de la bomba

(ver CARACTERÍSTICAS TÉCNICAS pág. 9)

Las bombas centrífugas IM han sido concebidas para un fun-

cionamiento

de hasta un máximo de 3000 rpm, con motores en acopla-

miento directo mediante junta de transmisión elástica con las

ATENCIÓN: allí donde el campo de variación de

la temperatura ambiente y de las temperaturas de

proceso del uido estén próximos a las máximas

de la bomba, en función de los materiales de que esté

hecha (ver CARACTERÍSTICAS TÉCNICAS pág. 9) será

necesario instalar en el equipo un dispositivo de

protección que impida el funcionamiento y que se alcan-

ce la temperatura de umbral.

PUMP DESCRIPTION

Proposed use

IM resin-made, vertical, centrifugal pumps have been designed

and manufactured to pump below head liquids having an ap-

parent viscosity between 1 and 500cps, and that are chemically

compatible with the pump manufacturing materials.

The pump is designed to operated with a uid working tempera-

ture of between +3°C and 95°C, in accordance with the type

of manufacturing material of the pump in question (pls refer to

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS pg. 9).

IM centrifugal pumps are designed for a max working speed of

3000 revs/min., with direct drive motors assembled with having

the following technicalmanufacturing characteristics:

- Euro tension;

- S1 status (continuous operation)

- Class F insulation;

- IP 55 protection rating.

WARNING: Whenever the variation range of the

ambient temperature as well as of the uid process

temperature approaches the max pump tempera-

tures, in accordance with the pump manufacturing material

(pls refer to TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS, pg 9), it is

necessary to safeguard the plant installing a protection

device stopping the pump and/or

Principio de funcionamiento

Las bombas centrífugas verticales IM deben instalarse debi-

damente jadas mediante abrazaderas a la cuba tomando las

medidas necesarias para evitar la formación de vórtices y la

consiguiente aspiración de burbujas de aire. Deben hacerse

funcionar única y exclusivamente con la BOMBA INUNDADA.

El rotor, ensamblado al eje y al motor montado en acoplamiento

directo, mediante junta elástica de transmisión, se hace girar

a una velocidad preestablecida (máx. 3000 rpm), creando, por

efecto centrífugo, una aspiración en el conducto central y una

impulsión en el conducto periférico.

Usos indebidos:

ATENCIÓN: cualquier otro uso de las bombas

centrífugas verticales IM distinto del anteriormente

indicado se considera indebido, por lo cual está

prohibido por el Fabricante.

En particular SE PROHÍBE el uso de la bomba IM para:

- el bombeo de gasolina o líquidos inamables o en ambientes

explosivos;

- el empleo con sentido de rotación contrario al establecido;

- el uso autoaspirante;

- el uso con aspiración en presencia de vórtices, turbulencias

o burbujas de aire;

- el uso en vacío (en ausencia de uido o con uido insuciente);

- el uso en inmersión que supere el nivel máximo indicado;

- el uso con la bomba no jada o para trasvases volantes;

- el uso con la boca de aspiración obstruida o demasiado

cercana al fondo de la cuba;

- el uso con el eje inclinado y no perfectamente vertical;

- el uso de la bomba en ausencia de las actuaciones de man-

tenimiento previstas;

- el uso con bombeo de líquidos químicamente incompatibles

con los materiales de construcción;

- el uso con aguas particularmente duras o muy cargadas de

producto;

- con temperaturas y características del producto disconformes

con las características de la bomba.

ATENCIÓN: dada la innumerable variedad de pro-

ductos y composiciones químicas, se considera al

usuario como el mejor conocedor de las compatibi-

lidades y reacciones con los materiales de que está hecha

la bomba. Por tanto, antes de utilizarla, se deben efectuar

todas las revisiones, pruebas y peritajes necesarios para

evitar situaciones incluso remotamente peligrosas, que

están fuera del conocimiento del fabricante y de las que,

por tanto, no es responsable.

ATENCIÓN: todo uso de la bomba que se aparte de

las instrucciones dadas en el manual de uso y man-

tenimiento supone la anulación de los requisitos

de seguridad establecidos. Se han analizado los riesgos

vinculados al uso de la bomba en las exactas condiciones

prescritas en el manual de uso y mantenimiento: el análisis

de los riesgos ligados a la puesta en interfaz con otros com-

ponentes de la instalación, es competencia del instalador.

Working principles

IM vertical, centrifugal pumps must be installed using xed

brackets in a tank with appropriate procedures to avoid vortex

formation and consequent air bubble suction. The pump must

ONLY operate when FLOODED.

The impeller - integrally joined to the shaft and to the direct

drive motor, using an elastic transmission joint, at a pre-set

speed (max 3.000 revs/min); its centrifugal effect activates a

suction in the main duct and a delivery in the peripheral duct.

Improper use

WARNING: any use of IM vertical, centrifugal pumps

other than that detailed above is improper and

forbidden by the Manufacturer.

It is SPECIFICALLY forbidden to use IM pumps:

- for pumping petrol and/or ammable liquids and/or in an

explosive environment;

- with an opposite rotation to the one specied;

- in self-priming working conditions;

- for suction in the presence of vortex, turbulence or air bubbles;

- for vacuum service (without, or with insufcient, uid)

- when immersed in excess of the maximum level

indicated;

- if not xed by brackets and/or for mobile transfers;

- if the suction inlet is obstructed or too close to the bottom

of the tank;

- if the axis is inclined or not perfectly level;

- if the maintenance operations foreseen have not been car-

ried out;

- with liquids that are chemically incompatible with the manu-

facturing materials;

- with water that is very hard or contains deposits

- with product temperatures and characteristics that are not

compatible with the characteristics of the pump.

WARNING: due to the wide variety of products and

chemical compositions, the operator is considered

to be the best evaluator of compatibility and reac-

tions with the pump manufacturing materials. Therefore,

before use, carry out all necessary checks and tests to

avoid any possible hazardous situation, that cannot be pre-

dicted or for which the manufacturer cannot be held liable.

WARNING: any use of the pump, apart from that

indicated in the use and maintenance manual, ren-

ders all safety procedures ineffective. The hazards

associated with use of the pump in the correct conditions

as described in the use and maintenance manual, have

been studied; the assessment of hazards associated with

the interaction with other plant components is assigned

to the installation operator.
