Introduction

How to use this guide

The instructions is divided into six parts:

Basic principles of application 116 for ECL Comfort 110

If the measured flow (DHW) temperature (S3) is lower than the desired DHW

temperature, the motorized control valve (M1) is opened gradually and vice versa.

The return temperature (S4) to the district heating supply should not be too high. If so,

the desired flow temperature can be adjusted (typically to a lower value) thus resulting

in a gradual closing of the motorized control valve, i.e. the return temperature will

decrease.

The circulation pump, P1, is ON when the desired flow temperature is higher than 20 °C

(factory setting) or the actual flow temperature (S3) is below 10 °C (factory setting).

Furthermore, a flow switch (FS) signal (terminals 11 + 12) can be applied in order to heat

the DHW separately on DHW demand (DHW tapping, DHW draw-off).

If a supply temperature sensor S2 is connected, the proportional band Xp is adapted

to the actual temperature in order to avoid control instability. In addition, an idle

temperature for the supply temperature can be maintained to minimize the heat-up

time for the DHW.

° C

FS Time

°C (degrees Celsius) is an absolute temperature whereas K (Kelvin) is a relative temperature.
