LIMITED WARRANTY
D-Link Systems, Inc. ("D-Link")provides this limited warrantyfor its product onlyto the person
or entity who originallypurchased the product fromD-Link or its authorizedreseller or
distributor.
Limited Hardware Warranty: D-Link warrants that thehardware portion of theD-Link products
described below ("Hardware") willbe free from materialdefects in workmanship andmaterials
from the date oforiginal retail purchase ofthe Hardware, for theperiod set forth below
applicable to the producttype ("Warranty Period")if the Hardware isused and serviced in
accordance with applicable documentation;provided that a completedRegistration Card is
returned to an AuthorizedD-Link Service Officewithin ninety (90) daysafter the date of
original retail purchase ofthe Hardware. If acompleted Registration Card isnot received by
an authorized D-Link ServiceOffice within suchninety (90) period, thenthe Warranty Period
shall be ninety (90)days from the dateof purchase.
D-Link's sole obligation shallbe to repair orreplace the defective Hardwareat no charge to
the original owner. Such repair or replacementwill be rendered byD-Link at an AuthorizedD-
Link Service Office. The replacement Hardware neednot be new orof an identical make,
model or part; D-Linkmay in its discretionmay replace the defectiveHardware (or any part
thereof) with any reconditionedproduct that D-Link reasonablydetermines is substantially
equivalent (or superior) inall material respects tothe defective Hardware. TheWarranty
Period shall extend foran additional ninety (90)days after any repairedor replaced Hardware
is delivered. If amaterial defect is incapableof correction, or ifD-Link determines in itssole
discretion that it isnot practical to repairor replace the defectiveHardware, the price paidby
the original purchaser forthe defective Hardware willbe refunded by D-Linkupon return to D-
Link of the defectiveHardware. All Hardware (orpart thereof) that isreplaced by D-Link, or
for which the purchaseprice is refunded, shallbecome the property ofD-Link upon

Limited Software Warranty: D-Link warrants that thesoftware portion of theproduct
("Software") will substantially conformto D-Link's then currentfunctional specifications for
the Software, as setforth in the applicabledocumentation, from the dateof original delivery
of the Software fora period of ninety(90) days ("WarrantyPeriod"), if the Softwareis
properly installed on approvedhardware and operated ascontemplated in its
documentation. D-Link further warrantsthat, during the Warranty Period, the magnetic
media on which D-Linkdelivers the Software willbe free of physicaldefects. D-Link's sole
obligation shall be toreplace the non-conforming Software(or defective media) with
software that substantially conformsto D-Link's functional specificationsfor the Software.
Except as otherwise agreedby D-Link in writing,the replacement Software isprovided only
to the original licensee,and is subject tothe terms and conditionsof the license grantedby
D-Link for the Software. The Warranty Periodshall extend for anadditional ninety (90)
days after any replacementSoftware is delivered. Ifa material non-conformance is
incapable of correction, orif D-Link determines inits sole discretion thatit is not practicalto
replace the non-conforming Software,the price paid bythe original licensee forthe non-
conforming Software will berefunded by D-Link; providedthat the non-conforming
Software (and all copiesthereof) is first returnedto D-Link. The licensegranted respecting
any Software for whicha refund is givenautomatically terminates.
What YouMust Do For Warranty Service:
1.Registration Card. The RegistrationCard provided at theback of this manualmust be
completed and returned toan Authorized D-Link ServiceOffice for eachD-Link product
within ninety (90) daysafter the product ispurchased and/or licensed. The
addresses/telephone/fax list of thenearest Authorized D-Link ServiceOffice is providedin
the back of thismanual. FAILURE TO PROPERLYCOMPLETE AND TIMELY RETURN
THE REGISTRATIONCARD MAYAFFECT THE WARRANTYFOR THIS PRODUCT.
2.Submitting A Claim. Anyclaim under this limitedwarranty must be submittedin writing
before the end ofthe Warranty Periodto an Authorized D-LinkService Office. Theclaim
must include a writtendescription of the Hardwaredefect or Software nonconformancein
sufficient detail toallow D-Link to confirmthe same. The originalproduct owner must
obtain a Return MaterialAuthorization (RMA) number fromthe Authorized D-Link Service
Office and, ifrequested, provide written proofof purchase of theproduct (such as acopy of
the dated purchase invoicefor the product) beforethe warranty service isprovided. After
an RMA number isissued, the defective productmust be packaged securelyin the original
or other suitable shippingpackage to ensure thatit will not bedamaged in transit, andthe
RMA number must beprominently marked on theoutside of the package. The packaged
product shall be insuredand shipped to D-Link,53 Discovery Drive, IrvineCA 92618, with
all shipping costs prepaid. D-Link may reject orreturn any product thatis not packaged and
shipped in strict compliancewith the foregoing requirements,or for which anRMA number
is not visible fromthe outside of thepackage. The product owneragrees to pay D-Link's
reasonable handling and returnshipping charges for anyproduct that is notpackaged and
shipped in accordance withthe foregoing requirements, orthat is determined byD-Link not
to be defective ornon-conforming.
What Is Not Covered:
This limited warranty providedby D-Link does notcover:
1.Products that have beensubjected to abuse, accident,alteration, modification,
tampering, negligence, misuse, faultyinstallation, lack of reasonablecare, repair or
service in any waythat is not contemplatedin the documentation forthe product, or ifthe
model or serial numberhas been altered, tamperedwith, defaced or removed;
2.Initial installation, installation andremoval of the productfor repair, andshipping costs;
3.Operational adjustments covered inthe operating manual forthe product, and normal
maintenance;
4.Damage that occurs inshipment, due to actof God, failures dueto power surge, and
cosmetic damage; and
5.Any hardware, software, firmwareor other products orservices provided by anyoneother
than D-Link.

FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. IF ANY IMPLIEDWARRANTY

Appendix

MP3 (MPEG1 layer 3) is a standard audio file format, which
compresses a sound sequence into approximately one-twelfth
the size of the original file. MP3 files are relatively small while
retaining the sound quality of the original file.
WHAT IS MP3?
You must be aware that distributing copies of MP3 file without
permission is against copyright law. You should use the MP3
encoding software included in the DMP-90 package only for personal
purposes.

The DMP-90 is a portable digital audio player. The DMP-90 is user-
friendly with easy to follow downloading and operating procedures. Music
can be downloaded from your PC to the DMP-90. The DMP-90 stores all
your music files in flash memory. The DMP-90 stores up to 1/4hour of MP3
music compressed at 128 Kbps for your listening pleasure. Also, skipping is
eliminated due to the DMP-90's’solid state components and design.
The DMP-90 comes with 16MB of built-in flash memory and a slot for a
removable Smart Media Card that extends the memory by up to 32 MB.

INSTALLING the DMP-90.exe File
1. Turn on your PC.
2. Insert the installation CD.
3. Open setup.exe in the CD-Rom driver.
4. The welcome screen pops up. Click "Next".
5. Read the License Agreement. Click "Yes" to agree to it.
6. You may select a destination folder. Then click "Next".
7. The installation is finished.

The DMP-90 is a proprietary device. The DMP-90 uses a different file
format than other MP3 players. The DMP-90 is not recommended for
use with other PC cameras or other digital cameras. Once the expansion
card is formatted for the DMP-90 it cannot be reformatted for use with
other MP3 systems.

MP3 files and extend the DMP-90’s playing time. Note: external memory
is not included in your DMP-90. The card that comes installed in the
device is only a place holder for a Smart Media card.

"EXT MEMORY" appears on the LCD.
Power the DMP-90 off. Push eject switch to eject
the Smart Media Card.

2. To download MP3 files from your PC to the DMP-90, the player must
be connected to your PC. The DMP-90 connects to your PC through
the parallel port. Disconnect the printer cable, if necessary, before attaching
the cable for the DMP-90.
To remove the plug
from the DMP-90
player, push the grips
of the plug, and then
pull out the plug.
