Ref. # Description
❶3 LED, indicates the work status of Receiver.
a; Power indicator; after power on, this LED will light in red colour
b; satellites indicator, it will flash several times every 5 seconds, which means how many
satellites locked by receiver.
c; correction message, As base station, if flash 1/s means sending correction message 1/s; as
Rover means received correction 1/s; in the raw data recording mode(data recorded in the
memory of receiver), this LED also will flash according to Sampling interval.
❷TNC GNSS antenna connector.
❸TNC UHF antenna connector.
❹DC 1, serial port communication with OEM(port 1) card. Appendix A the Pin definition of
this port.
❺DC3, serial port communication with internal UHF and OEM(port 3) card.
2.2 Antenna installation
Installation of GNSS antenna is avery important factor to effect the preference of Receiver, it
will have big influence on visible satellite and SNR, be sure to fix antenna in open area and be
far from big power electromagnetic radiation device.

Chapter 3 Configuration OEM Card by CRU software
Introduction
Compass Receiver Utility is a windows-based GUI that allows you to access your receiver’s many
features without the need to use a terminal emulator or to write special software. CRU lets you
easily communicate and configure your receiver via serial port, Ethernet connection usea PC to
run the Windows XP or Windows 7 operating system.
Note; please go to ComNav website
http://www.comnavtech.com/download.asp?bigclassid=28, to download the software and
installation in PC.
3.1 connected with GNSS receiver
You can use serial port of PC to connect with receiver, the default band rate is 115200(OEM
Card band rate)
Go to Set port-> after setup the connections, click OK
If connect successfully, you will see the SN number of receiver and it will show on the left top of
software operation window; if not, please check the power and connection of all parts.

Ref. # Description
❶Connection status; SN No. of receiver, the data download path. You can select the data
download path from the left function bar-> Folders, select the folder path.
❷Main menu; all the operation of software menu can be found here
❸Shortcut bar; make you easy to access some frequently operation
❹Function bar; select the function, such as data download, convert to Rinex data.
❺Main window; show the information such as PVT view, SV sky plot view, hyper terminal.
3.2 Receiver configuration
3.2 Raw data recording set up.
Go to the shortcut bar, click ,
Satellites configuration;
Mask angle, GPS/Beidou/Glonass
Raw data sample interval, 1/2/5.

Local log; log the raw data to local PC, the file name will be auto named in the current folder
path, in this mode; you can define the raw data message type.

3.2.2 Get correction message from Radio or Ntrip .
3.2.2.1Internal Radio setup
This step is for setting up internal UHF frequency and protocol,you must use your laptop link
with DC/3 port to set radio parameters. Go to , set up the Frequency and protocol (same
as external transmit radio).
Tips; the internal radio airlink rate is 9600bps, and the radio is linked to COM2 of GNSS board as the
band rate 115200bps. So you must set the airlink band date of Transmit radio 9600 bps, and the com 2
band rate of GNSS board as 115200 bps(the default band rate is 115200)
3.2.2.1Get correction message from Ntrip
Make sure your laptop can use internet.
Go to , there allows two protocols to get the correction data by internet-TCP direct or
Ntrip mode; If the protocol is TCP direct mode, input the IP address and port and click connect;
If use the Ntrip mode, select the Ntrip mode and then click Connect.
This page shows the Ntripmount point, select the right mount point and input the User name
and password, at last lick ok.

7
3.2.3 Work mode configuration
Change the work mode (Base station or Rover); edit the command package that sent to OEM
card.
For example, if you want to start M300 as Base station, go to , some predefined command
package list can be seen below;

8
Click Edit, You can edit the command package that sent to receiver, then click ok;
Click apply and follow the indication to start base M300 as Base station.
After starting base station, use DC/3 link with external radio, set the external radio interface
band rate as 38400 bps (to match with the correction message)
3.3 main information check
3.3.1 Satellites information and global map view
: The output message by receiver, such as binary or GPGGA information
satellite information such as SNR and elevation; you can go to the main menu,
View-> Sky view, click the constellation to enable or disable the SV system.
