COMFORTABLE Bed Backrest is easy to assemble on private
beds in the home environment. Bed backrest should be
placed on a sprung mattress in combination with a mattress.
COMFORTABEL Bed Backrest is designed to comply with
applicable parts of the bed standard EN 1970:1998 and is
designed for people older than 12 year.

1.Assembly instructions
1.1 Scope of delivery
COMFORTABEL Bed Backrest is packed in a carton containing:
– Mechanics of bed backrest
– Motor
– Controll
– Transformer
– Fixing paper (accessories)
Total weight ca 12 kg
1.2 Unpacking
To facilitate the packing of the factory - the motor is in transport mode. It
means that the motor rear mount NOT is mounted on the bed backrest.
– Unpack the bed backrest from the carton and place it on the floor as
shown in Figure 1.
– Turn the motor 90 degrees and mount the L-shaped motor mount in
the engine’s rear mount. Use the enclosed motor bolt and secure it
with the so-called hairpin as shown in Figure 2. Assemble and then
screw the L-shaped bracket on the bacrest 4-edge pin.
Use the enclosed Star knob and disk, mount as shown in Figure 6
and 7.
Check that the motor house is poiting down as shown in
Figure 10.

1.3 Mounting on the bed
COMFORTABEL Bed Backrest can be mounted with the motor to the
right or to the left. If the motor, after unpacking, is on the right side -
continue the installation (as below). If the motor is placed on the wrong
side - go to part 5
– Place bed backrest centrally on the bed as shown in Figure 3.
– Bed backrest strap is placed around the bed as shown in Figure 4.
– Tighten the straps as tight as possible, as shown in Figure 5.
– Make sure the bed backrest is stable in the bed.
– Make sure that the straps are tightened.

1.4 Connecting the transformer and controller
– Make sure the controller is connected to the motor.
– Connect the cord to the wall socket.
NOTE! Flowchart. The transformer is mounted on the motor!
1.5 Adjustment to the right/left
The bad backrest motor can be placed on the right or the left side by
”turning around” the bad backrest as follows:
– Place the bed backrest on the floor as shown in Figure 1.
– Unscrew the knob on the rear motor mount as shown in Figure 6
and 7.
– Lift up and remove the rear motor mount as shown in Figure 7.
– Turn the bed backrest 360 degrees (the lined portion) as Figure 8.
– Rotate the motor 180 degrees so that the motor house is pointing
down as shown in Figure 9 and Figure 10. Make sure the motor, after
mounting, looks like Figure 10!
– Reposition the rear motor mount as shown in Figure 9.
– Screw the knob on the rear motor mount as shown in Figure 6 och 7.

2. Instructions for use
2.1 Power supply
The Bed backrest is driven by a low voltage motor (24V) and is powered
by a built-in transformer.
– The cord must be connected to the wall socket.
– Make sure the cord is not pinched or trapped in the bed
backrest
2.2 Regulation of bed backrest
Bed backrest is controlled by a hand control.
Buttons for UP and DOWN as outlined.
– Maximum load on the bed backrest = 70 kg. (Userweight ca 145 kg).
– Make sure the bed backrest has free space to fold up / forward.
– Make sure nothing is behind / under the bed backrest when it is folded
down / backwards.
3. Care instructions
COMFORTABEL Bed Backrest requires minimal maintenance.
Depending on the environment and use, maintenance can be required.
3.1 Normal cleaning
– Bed backrest cleaned with a damp cloth. Can be cleaned with readily
available cleansers and disinfectants.
– The backcloth can be washed at 60 degrees.
3.2 Lubrication
– Bed Backrest normally needs no lubrication. When necessary - the
backrest’s ramifications need lubrication.
3.3 Yearly oversight
– Make sure the power cord and cable to the controller are all right.
– Make sure the straps are all right.

4.Troubleshooting
A. The Bed Backrest doesn’t work at all
– Make sure the cord is connected to the wall socket.
– Make sure the hand control is connected to the motor.
– Make sure that the motor is connected to the transformer.
If the problem remains – contact the supplier.
B. Bed backrest work sometimes
– Make sure the hand control is properly connected to the motor.
– Make sure that the motor is connected to the transformer.
If the problem remains – contact the supplier.
