Safety
General Power Tool Safety Warnings – Personal Safety
Warning: Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow
thewarnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
SAVE ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
Theterm “power tool” in thewarnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power
tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in
thepresence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks
which may ignite thedust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating apower tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match theoutlet. Never modify theplug in any way.
Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes,
radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is anincreased risk of electric shock if
your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering apower
tool will increase therisk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse thecord. Never use thecord for carrying, pulling or unplugging
thepower tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase therisk of electric shock.
e) When operating apower tool outdoors, use anextension cord suitable for
outdoor use. Use of acord suitable for outdoor use reduces therisk of electric shock.
f) If operating apower tool in adamp location is unavoidable, use aresidual
current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of anRCD reduces therisk of
electric shock.

3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating
apower tool. Do not use apower tool while you are tired or under theinfluence
of drugs, alcohol or medication. Amoment of inattention while operating power
tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective
equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection
used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure theswitch is in theoff-position before
connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying
thetool. Carrying power tools with your finger on theswitch or energising power
tools that have theswitch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning thepower tool on. Awrench
or akey left attached to arotating part of thepower tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables
better control of thepower tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair,
clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long
hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for theconnection of dust extraction and collection
facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used. Use of dust
collection can reduce dust related hazards.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force thepower tool. Use thecorrect power tool for your application.
Thecorrect power tool will do thejob better and safer at therate for which it was
designed.
b) Do not use thepower tool if theswitch does not turn it on and off. Any power
tool that cannot be controlled with theswitch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect theplug from thepower source and/or thebattery pack from
thepower tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories,
or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce therisk of
starting thepower tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of thereach of children and do not allow persons
unfamiliar with thepower tool or these instructions to operate thepower
tool. Power tools are dangerous in thehands of untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect thepower tool’s
operation. If damaged, have thepower tool repaired before use.
Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp
cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use thepower tool, accessories and tool bits, etc. in accordance with these
instructions, taking into account theworking conditions and thework to be
performed. Use of thepower tool for operations different from those intended
could result in ahazardous situation.

5) Battery tool use and care
a) Make sure that the power switch is set to OFF before the battery is inserted.
Attaching a battery to a power tool when the power switch set to ON increases
the risk of an accident occurring.
b) Recharge only with thecharger specified by themanufacturer. Acharger that
is suitable for one type of battery pack may create arisk of fire when used with
another battery pack.
c) Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any
other battery packs may create arisk of injury and fire.
d) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like
paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can
make aconnection from one terminal to another. Shorting thebattery terminals
together may cause burns or afire.
e) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from thebattery; avoid
contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts
eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from thebattery may cause
irritation or burns.
6) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by aqualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that thesafety of thepower tool is maintained.
Specic safety warnings for multi-tools
• This power tool is intended for sawing, sanding, polishing and cutting.
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications
provided with thistool. Neglecting to follow all of theinstructions listed below can
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
• Do not use accessories which are not intended to be used with this tool and
which are not recommended by themanufacturer. Evenif theaccessory can be
attached to your power tool, there is no guarantee that it can be used safely.
• Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on how you use themachine;
use avisor/face protection or safety glasses. Ifnecessary use amask,
ear protection, gloves, and apron/work clothing to protect you from small
shards of metal or splinters from thework object. Theeye protection you use
must be able to protect against flying debris produced in different working
positions. Thebreathing protection should be able to filter any particles
produced by thework. Prolonged exposure to high levels of noise can result in
hearing damage.
• Keep children at asafe distance from theworkarea. Everyone who visits
theplace of work must wear personal protective equipment. Debris from
theworkpiece or from adamaged accessory can fly off and injure people outside
of theimmediate workarea.
• Clean the motor ventilation slits regularly. Themotor’s fan pulls in dust, which
gets inside theouter casing and abuild up of this collected metal dust can lead to
electrical dangers.

• Do not use thepower tool near flammable material. Sparks can easily ignite
flammable material.
• Do not use accessories, which require liquid coolants. Theuse of water or
other liquid coolants can result in electric shock or electrocution.
Specic safety instructions for sanding
• Extra caution should be taken when sanding lead paint, wood, metal or other
materials which produce toxicdust. Makesure any bystanders in thework area
are well protected.
• Remember that dust caused by sanding can be very flammable when mixed
withair.
Safety instructions specic for cutting
• Hold power tool by its insulated gripping surfaces when performing
anoperation in where thecutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or its
own cord could cut through hidden cables or its owncord. Cutting accessory
contacting a “live” wire may make exposed metal parts of thepower tool “live” and
could give theoperator anelectricshock.
• Always wear adustmask.

Used for theremoval of paint, glue, etc.
Delta sanding plate
Perfect for sanding those hard-to-reach places, such as
corners. Changing thegrade of sandpaper used allows
you to sand wood, stone, paint and soforth.
Plunge-cutter saw blade
Ideal for deep incisions in wood,e.g. cutting holes for
fitting airvents. Canalso be used for sawing in confined
spaces. Thissaw blade can even saw throughnails.
Extra accessories
TheCocraft range includes several other accessories compatible with this multi-tool,
amongst others:
• Metal cuttingblade
• Saw blades and sanding pads for cement, wall tiles and plastic.
• Various sandpapertypes.
Attaching accessories
Warning. Always remove thebattery from themulti-tool before replacing
accessories or performing any adjustment, service or maintenance.
Themulti-tool’s accessory mount (1) is adapted for accessories from Cocraft or Bosch
Starlock (not Starlock PLUS or Starlock MAX)
Accessories from Cocraft
1. Fold out thecatch for theaccessory mount (3) fully, slide in theaccessory (9, 10
and 11) and position it at thedesired angle so that thepins on themount are
aligned with theholes in theaccessory.

2. Close thecatch fully.
Accessories from Bosch Starlock
1. Fold out thecatch fully.
2. Unscrew thelock nut (1).
3. Place theaccessory on themount.
TheStarlock accessory will sit
loosely on themount, as thecentre hole
is slightly too small for themount.
4. Align thesmall holes in theaccessory
with thepins on themount and screw
thelock nut back on. Tighten by hand
(tools are not required).

5. Close thecatch fully.
Information
If theaccessory ends up at aslight angle and
does not slide down onto thepins, simply press
it to one side and it will snap into place.
Instructions for use
On/off
1. Slide thebattery into thebattery
connection (8) making sure that it clicks
securely into place.
2. Turn on/off using thepower switch (4).
3. Set thespeed using theselector (6).
Thechoice of speed depends on
thetype of work being carried out and
thetype of material being worked on.
Experiment until you find thebest speed
setting.
