Safety
Warning
• Never point thelaser beam towards people or animals and never look into thelaser
yourself even if you are not standing close to thelaser level.
• Warning: Never look into thelaser beam through optical instruments such as
binoculars or telescopes. Doing so could result in serious eye damage.
• Do not use thelaser level on or near highly reflective surfaces since thelaser beam
can be reflected back into your own or someone else’s eyes.
• Never leave thelaser level switched on unattended. Always switch it off after use.
There is always arisk that someone could be blinded by thelaser beam.
• If thelaser is directed towards your eyes, close your eyes and avert your gaze away
from thebeam.
This product is intended for indoor use only.

• Make sure not to remove or damage thesafety symbols and warnings found on
thelaser level.
• Never try to open thehousing, repair or modify theproduct in any way.
• Repairs must only be carried out by qualified service technicians and only using
identical replacement parts. Failure to follow this procedure could lead to serious
personal injury.
• Only use accessories that are recommended by themanufacturer or retailer.
• Never use theproduct where explosive substances are used or stored.
• Protect theproduct from becoming wet and exposure to direct sunlight.
• Store theproduct out of children’s reach.

Tripod
• The tripod mounting plate has adisc bubble spirit level (A). When thebubble is in
thecentre of thecircle, thetripod is level.
• Make sure that thelocking knobs and cam lever locks are tight once thetripod has
been adjusted.

Instructions for use
Batteries
Warning
Make sure that thelaser level is switched off before
inserting batteries.
1. Never mix old and new batteries. Never mix
rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
2. Remove thebattery cover (4) and insert 2 × AAA/
LR03 batteries. Refer to themarkings in thebattery
compartment to ensure correct polarity.
3. Refit thebattery cover.
Using the laser level
When thelaser level is switched on, theautomatic self-levelling system compensates
for inclines up to 3º.
The laser lines will switch off and thelevelling warning light (2) will shine red if thelaser
level is inclined more than 3° in any direction.
When thelevelling warning light shines green and theprojected laser lines have stopped
moving, thelaser level is horizontal and ready to be used.

1. The laser level can be mounted onto atripod, placed on afirm flat surface, or held
against astationary vertical surface for stability.
2. When thelaser level is switched on using thepower switch (3), agreen cross line
laser beam will be projected.
3. Always switch thelaser off using thepower switch after you have finished levelling
or when moving to adifferent location.

Important
• In theevent of vibrations and changes of position during use theinstrument will
automatically self-level. Each time thelaser level has been levelled, theaccuracy
of thehorizontal and vertical lines should be checked against aknown reference in
order to avoid errors.
• Switch thelaser level off before transporting it. This will lock thelevelling system
and help protect it from damage during transport.
• Avoid subjecting thelaser level to impacts or shocks. Damage to thelaser level
could affect its accuracy. The accuracy of thelaser level should be tested against
known horizontal and vertical references following any heavy impact or shock.
• Do not leave thelaser level in avehicle for along time. Extreme temperatures or
sudden changes in temperature can affect theprecision of thelaser level.
Care and maintenance
• Always switch theproduct off before cleaning it.
• Clean theproduct using adamp cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, never
solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Remove thebatteries and store thelaser level in adry, dust-free environment, out
children’s reach whenever it is not to be used for anextended period.
Troubleshooting guide
Thelaser will not switch on. Check thecapacity of thebatteries and make sure
that they are inserted correctly. Follow themarkings
on thebottom of thebattery compartment.
Thelaser line flashes or doesn’t
shine during self-levelling.
Thelaser level is at too much of anangle
(more than 3°), place it on alevel surface.
Thelaser line is not very visible. • Check thebatteries and replace if necessary.
• Check thelaser window, clean it with asoft
cloth if necessary.
• Ambient light level too high.

Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that theproduct should not be disposed of with
general household waste. This applies throughout theentire EU. In order
to prevent any harm to theenvironment or health hazards caused by
incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be handed in for recycling
so that thematerial can be disposed of in aresponsible manner. When
recycling your product, take it to your local collection facility or contact
theplace of purchase. They will ensure that theproduct is disposed of in
anenvironmentally sound manner.
