Safety
• This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use
of theappliance in asafe way and understand thehazards
involved.
• Never let children play with the product.
• Cleaning and maintenance must not be done by children
without adult supervision.
• Keep theproduct and its cord out of reach of children aged
less than 8years.
• If thesupply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
themanufacturer, its service agent or similar qualified persons
in order to avoid ahazard.
• Never immerse thepower cable or theproduct in water or
other liquid.
• Warning: Theproduct becomes hot duringuse. Surfaces
which do not have adirect heating function can also reach
high temperatures. Asheat is perceived differently by
different people, theproduct should always be handled with
CAUTION. Useonly theinsulated handles and gripping
surfaces and wear protective gloves,etc. Donot touch any
surfaces which are not insulated handles or gripping surfaces
until these have been allowed tocool.

• Ensure that thepower cable is unplugged from theelectrical
outlet before cleaning theproduct and when it is not inuse.
Allowtheproduct to cool before attaching or detaching any
looseparts.
• Using accessories other than those recommended by
themanufacturer or point of sale may lead to personal injury.
• This product is intended for indoor useonly.
• Do not allow thepower cable to hang over theedge of awork
surface or atable. The cable must not be allowed to come
into contact with hot surfaces.
• Never place theproduct on or near ahothob. Theproduct
should never be placed in anoven.
• Theproduct must not be used in any manner other than as
described in this instruction manual.
• Theproduct must never be used with atimer or other
equipment which turns it on automatically.
• Do not subject theproduct to impacts or shocks and do not
expose it to extremely hot, cold or dusty environments.
• Place all ingredients in thebasket to prevent them coming into
contact with theheating element.
• Never obstruct theair inlet and/or outlet.
• Never fill theproduct with oil or any other liquid.
• Do not touch theinterior of theproduct duringuse.
• All accessible surfaces may become hot when theproduct is
inuse.

Warning
• This product should only be connected to a230 V AC, 50 Hz
electrical outlet.
• Never use theproduct if it is in any way damaged or not
working properly or if thepower cable or plug is damaged.
Donot use theproduct if you have dropped it on thefloor,
into water or other liquid.
• Never use theproduct if your hands are moist orwet.
• Make sure that theproduct is completely dry beforeuse.
• Never place theproduct close to awall or close to other
appliances. Ensure that there is clearance of at least 10 cm
behind, next to and above theproduct.
• Never place anything on top of theproduct.
• Never leave theproduct unattended while inuse.
• Hot steam is expelled from theair outlet when theproduct is
inuse. Keephands and face asafe distance from thesteam
and air outlet.
• Exercise care when removing thepan from theproduct, as
hot steam and air will escape.
• Remove theplug from theelectrical outlet immediately if
you notice black smoke rising from theproduct. Waituntil
thesmoke disperses and theproduct has cooled before
removing thepan.
• Theproduct should be placed on afirm, level surface capable
of supporting theproduct’s weight.
• Theproduct is only intended for normal domestic use as
described in this instruction manual. Itis not intended for use
in similar environments such as canteens, offices, hotels or
hostels.
• Theproduct should be allowed to cool for aminimum of
30minutes before it is safe to be handled for cleaning,etc.

Setup
1. Plug thepower cable into anearthed electrical outlet.
2. Press [ ] to turn on thefryer. Thefactory default settings are atemperature of
180°C and atimer set to 15min. Thetimer will begin flashing.
3. To change thetimer, press or hold in [+] or [–].
4. To change thetemperature, press [ ]. Thetemperature will begin flashing.
5. Press or hold in [+] or [–] to set thetemperature.
6. Press [►ll] to start thefryer.
7. Press [►ll] again if you want to stop frying before thetimer has reachedzero.
Before initial use
• Remove all packaging.
• Clean thepan and basket thoroughly. Useonly mild cleaning agents, never
solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Rinse well and ensure that thepan and basket are completely dry beforeuse.
Instructions foruse
1. Remove thepan from thefryer.
2. Place theingredients into thebasket.
Donot fill beyond theMAX marking
on theinside of thebasket.
3. Place thebasket in thepan and
push down until thebasket clicks
intoplace. Pushthepan with
thebasket into thefryer, making sure
that it is all thewayin. Neveruse
thepan without thebasket.

4. Turn on thefryer and enter thecorrect frying time and temperature (refer to Control
Panel Settings section).
5. Small ingredients may need to be shaken after half thefrying time has elapsed.
Carefully remove thepan, which will automatically stop thefryer and pause
thetimer, gently shake thepan and replace it in thefryer. Thefryer and timer
will automatically resume. Info: It may be agood idea to set thetimer to half
thefrying time, so that you do not forget to shake theingredients. Setthetimer for
theremaining frying time after shaking theingredients.
6. When thetimer reaches zero, thefryer emits asound. Remove thepan and place
it on aheatproof surface.
Warning: Thepan will be extremelyhot. Makesure that thepan is not too hot
for thesurface and place thepan such that it is not at risk of tipping. Ensure that
no other person attempts to touch thepan.
7. Check that theingredients are ready to eat. Ifthey require additional time, replace
thepan and set thetimer for afew more minutes.
8. Once theingredients are cooked, lift up
thecover to thebasket release button,
press thebutton and carefully remove
thebasket from thepan. Afterfrying,
thepan may contain asmall amount of oil
from theingredients. Take care as theoil is
veryhot.
Warning: Never touch thepan immediately
after frying. Itwill be extremelyhot. Only use
thehandle.

• Smaller sized ingredients usually require ashorter frying time than larger sized
ingredients.
• Alarge amount of ingredients requires asomewhat longer fryingtime.
• Asmall amount of ingredients requires asomewhat shorter fryingtime.
• Shake smaller sized ingredients halfway through thefrying time for better results.
• For chips, brushing with asmall amount of oil before frying will result in acrispier
texture. Frythepotatoes within minutes of adding theoil.
• Avoid very fatty ingredients such as various types of sausage,etc.

Here is atable showing examples of ingredients. Remember that weight, time and
temperature are approximate and canvary. Add3 minutes to thefrying time if thefryer
is cold when thefrying is started.

Care and maintenance
• Turn off thefryer and pull out theplug from theelectrical outlet. Letthefryer cool
completely.
• Clean theexterior of thefryer using adampcloth. Useonly mild cleaning agents,
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Wash thepan and basket with warm water and washing-up liquid.
Rinsethoroughly. Useonly asoft dish-washing brush/sponge. Neveruse metal
objects to clean thebasket or thepan, as these may damage thecoating.
• Clean theinside of thefryer with adamp cloth and use abrush to carefully clean
theheating element.
• Turn off thefryer, unplug thepower cable from theelectrical outlet and store in
adry, dust-free environment out of thereach of children whenever it is not to be
used for anextended period.

Troubleshootingguide
Thefryer does notstart. • Is thepower cable undamaged and securely
plugged into anelectrical outlet?
• Is theelectrical outletlive?
• Has thetimer been set correctly?
Theingredients are not
ready when thetimer
reacheszero.
• Thetemperature is toolow.
• Thefrying time is tooshort.
• Thebasket contains too many ingredients.
Theingredients are
unevenlyfried.
• Certain ingredients need to be shaken after half
thefrying time has elapsed.
Theingredients are not
crispy after frying.
• Make sure to use theright type of ingredients.
Ingredients intended to be deep fried in oil are not
suitable for anairfryer.
• Try brushing the ingredients with a small amount of
oil before frying.
Steam escapes from
thefryer duringuse.
• If you fry fatty ingredients, fat will collect in thepan.
Thiswill form steam and thepan can become hotter
than normal. Thisdoes not damage thefryer and
does not affect theend result.
• Thepan contains fat from theprevioususe.
Makesure thepan is properly cleaned
betweenuses.
Fresh chips are
unevenlyfried.
• Rinse your chips thoroughly before frying to remove
starch.
• Have you used anunsuitable type of potato?
Thechips are not crispy
after frying.
• Try brushing the chips with a small amount of oil
before frying.
• Cut thechips more thinly.
