Safety
• Theproduct may be used by children of 8 years and above
and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capability or lack of experience and knowledge provided they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning theuse
of theproduct in asafe manner and understand thehazards
involved.
• Always place theproduct on aflat, stable surface.
• Never place theproduct on ahot cooker or in awarm oven.
• Theincluded coffee mug is only designed to be used with
thecoffee maker described in this instruction manual. Never
use it for any other purposes.
• Never place ahot mug onto acold surface.
• Theproduct must only be used as described in this
instruction manual.
• Always unplug theproduct from thepower point before cleaning
it and when it is not in use.
• Theproduct must only be connected to astandard domestic
220–240V, 50/60Hz electrical supply.
• Certain surfaces on theproduct become hot during use.
• Do not pull or carry theproduct by its mains lead. Do not
use thelead as ahandle or allow it to become pinched. Do
not pull it around sharp corners and edges or over warm
surfaces, such as warm hobs.
• Never immerse theproduct in water and do not expose it to
knocks, blows or high temperatures.

• Theproduct should not be used if it is in any way damaged or
malfunctioning.
• Never use accessories which are not recommended by
themanufacturer. This can lead to fire, electric shock or
personal injury.
• Themains lead should be checked regularly. Never use
theproduct if themains lead or plug is damaged.
• Themains lead must be changed if damaged. This is to
prevent therisk of electric shock or fire and should only be
carried out by themanufacturer, authorised service facility or
aqualified tradesman.
• Theproduct is designed exclusively for private domestic use.
• Theproduct should only be used and stored indoors.
• Theproduct is only designed for domestic use or similar
circumstances such as:
- staff canteens, offices or other staff rooms
- cabins and cottages
- hotel rooms and other forms of residency
• Do not open thehousing. Certain unshielded components
inside thecasing carry dangerous voltages. Contact with
these components could result in electric shock.
• This product should only be repaired by aqualified service
technician.
• Theproduct must not be taken apart or modified.
• Never let children play with theproduct.

Operating instructions
Before initial use
• Rinse themugs and filter basket with water before use.
• Before using thecoffee maker you should run themachine through two to three
filtration cycles at full water capacity, but without coffee grounds. This should also
be done when thecoffee maker has not been used for along time, and after
descaling.
• Thegraduations marked on thewater reservoir make it easier for you to fill
thereservoir with thecorrect amount of water. Make sure not to exceed
themaximum water level.
Brewing
1. Lift thelid and pour amug full of water into thereservoir.
2. Add 3 to 4 tablespoons of ground coffee to thefilter.
3. Shake thefilter alittle to distribute thecoffee evenly.
4. Carefully place thefilter (6) into thefilter basket (5).
5. Close thelid over thewater reservoir.
6. Remove thelid from themug and place it in thecoffee maker.
7. Plug themains lead into awall socket.
8. Press thepower switch Thepower indicator light should illuminate.
9. Allow all thecoffee to drip down into themug before you remove it and screw
thelid back on.
10. To interrupt abrewing cycle, turn thecoffee maker off using thepower switch.
11. Thecoffee maker shuts off automatically after brewing thecoffee.
Note: Thelid of thecoffee mug has abutton for opening and closing it.

Care and maintenance
Cleaning
• Always unplug thelead from thepower point and let thecoffee maker cool down
properly before cleaning it.
• Theexterior of thecoffee maker should be wiped clean using asoft, moist cloth.
Use only mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Both themug and its lid are dishwasher safe. Thefilter and filter basket must be
washed by hand.
Descaling
• For optimum performance, your coffee maker should be descaled regularly.
• If asubstantial amount of scale is allowed to build up, it will be extremely difficult
to remove even with adescaling agent. Scale can also cause leaks in thebrewing
mechanism. We recommend that thecoffee maker be descaled after every thirty to
forty uses. For descaling you can use amixture of white vinegar and water:
1. Fill themug with asolution of ¼ white vinegar and ¾ water.
2. Pour thewater and vinegar solution into thewater reservoir, do not add coffee.
3. Turn on thecoffee maker and allow it to run through acomplete filtering cycle.
Repeat if necessary. Conduct this descaling process in awell ventilated area and
avoid breathing in theresulting fumes.
4. To clean thecoffee maker after descaling you should run themachine through
2–3 filtration cycles using clean water.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that this product should not be disposed of with
general household waste. This applies throughout theentire EU. In order
to prevent any harm to theenvironment or health hazards caused by
incorrect waste disposal, theproduct must be handed in for recycling
so that thematerial can be disposed of in aresponsible manner. When
recycling your product, take it to your local collection facility or contact
theplace of purchase. They will ensure that theproduct is disposed of in
anenvironmentally sound manner.

Användning
Före första användning
• Diska ur muggen och filterhållaren innan första användning.
• Innan kaffebryggaren används första gången bör du låta den göra två eller tre
filtreringsomgångar med maximal mängd vatten men utan kaffepulver. Detta bör också
göras om kaffebryggaren inte använts under en längre tid, samt efter avkalkning.
• Måttskalan i vattenbehållaren gör det lättare för dig att fylla behållaren med korrekt
mängd rent vatten. Se till att den maximala vattenmängden inte överskrids.
Bryggning
1. Öppna locket och fyll vattenbehållaren med en mugg vatten.
2. Fyll på med 3–4 matskedar kaffe i filtret, stäng filterhållaren och se till att den låser fast.
3. Skaka lite på filtret så att kaffet ligger jämnt.
4. Sätt i filtret (6) i filterhållaren (5).
5. Stäng locket till vattentanken.
6. Ta bort locket från muggen och placera den i bryggaren.
7. Anslut stickproppen till ett vägguttag.
8. Tryck in på/av-knappen. Indikatorlampan tänds.
9. Låt kaffet rinna ned helt i muggen innan du tar bort den och skruvar tillbaka locket.
10. För att avbryta en bryggning, slå av bryggaren med på/av-knappen.
11. Kaffebryggaren stängs av automatiskt efter bryggning.
Obs! Det finns en knapp på muggens lock för att öppna och stänga det.

Skötsel och underhåll
Rengöring
• Dra ut stickproppen ur vägguttaget och låt kaffebryggaren svalna före rengöring.
• Torka av kaffebryggaren utvändigt med en lätt fuktad trasa. Använd ett milt
rengöringsmedel, aldrig lösningsmedel eller frätande kemikalier.
• Muggen och locket tål maskindisk. Filter och hållare måste diskas för hand.
Avkalkning
• För att kaffebryggaren ska fungera optimalt bör den avkalkas regelbundet.
• En alltför stor kalkavlagring är mycket svår att avlägsna, trots att avkalkningsmedel
används. Avlagringen kan orsaka läckage i bryggningssystemet. Vi rekommenderar
därför att kaffebryggaren avkalkas efter ungefär var 30:e bryggning. För avkalkning
kan du använda en blandning av ättikssprit och vatten:
1. Blanda ¼ ättiksprit och ¾ vatten i muggen.
2. Häll avkalkningslösningen i vattentanken, tillsätt ej kaffe.
3. Slå på bryggaren och låt den genomföra en filtreringsomgång. Upprepa vid behov.
Under avkalkningen bör du vädra och inte andas in ångorna från avkalkningen.
4. För att rengöra kaffebryggaren efter avkalkningen bör du låta den göra 2–3 filtrerings-
omgångar med rent vatten.
Avfallshantering
Denna symbol innebär att produkten inte får kastas tillsammans med
annat hushållsavfall. Detta gäller inom hela EU. För att förebygga eventuell
skada på miljö och hälsa, orsakad av felaktig avfallshantering,ska
produkten lämnas till återvinning så att materialet kan tas omhand på ett
ansvarsfullt sätt. När du lämnar produkten till återvinning, använd dig av
de returhanteringssystem som finns där du befinner dig eller kontakta
inköpsstället. De kan se till att produkten tas om hand på ett för miljön
tillfredställande sätt.
