1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the
SIFT+ shower and tap lter from
Caresmith.
SIFT+ is a versatile lter that can
be attached to taps, wall/over-
head showers and hand showers.
SIFT+ comes with a 10 layer
ltration cartridge:
Ultra-ne SS Mesh blocks
medium size sediments
Micro-Porous PP Cotton
removes small sediments
and turpitudes
Enforced Calcium Sulte
reduces chlorine from both
HOT & COLD water
Activated Alumina removes
uorides, lead, arsenic and
other contaminants
Activated Coconut Carbon
reduces chlorine, THMs, or-
ganic material & impurities
Zeolite adsorbs ammonia
and heavy metal

SIFT+ OUTER SHELL WARRANTY
One year limited warranty is applicable
for material, manufacturing or
operational defects existing at the
time of delivery or for occurrence of
any operational error during regular
use from the date of purchase. Any
mishandling of device or alteration/
repair done by an unauthorized person
will void the contract.

4. Installation on Wall/
Overhead-shower
Step 1 : Disconnect your shower-head
from the shower arms & clean the
thread with sandpaper
Step 2 : Ensure the washer is inserted
into the top connector of SIFT+. Wrap
the thread of the shower arm and
the bottom connector of the shower
lter with Teon tape to prevent
leaks.
Step 3: Align the SIFT+ top connector
with the thread of the shower arm &
rotate clockwise to tighten.
Step 4: Turn on the water and let the
water ow out for 3 minutes. This will
ush out harmless discoloured water.
Step 5: Align the bottom thread
connector of your SIFT+ the shower-
head connector and rotate clockwise
to tighten fully. Use a spanner to
tighten, if there are leaks, check /
insert washers and tighten again.
* SIFT+ will t on all standard shower arms.

5. Installation on
Hand-showers xtures
Step 1 : Disconnect the hose from
the tap & clean the thread with sand
paper.
Step 2 : Ensure the washer is inserted
into the top connector of SIFT+. Wrap
the thread of the tap and the bottom
connector of the shower lter with
Teon tape to prevent leaks.
Step 3: Align the top connector of the
SIFT+ with the thread connector of
the tap & rotate clockwise to tighten
Step 4 : Turn on the water and let the
water ow out for 3 minutes. This
will ush out harmless discoloured
water.
Step 5 : Align the hose connector of
your hand shower with the bottom
thread connector of your SIFT + and
rotate clockwise to tighten fully .
If there are leaks, check or insert
washer and tighten again.

6. Installation on Taps
& Faucets
Step 1 : Remove the existing
connector from the faucet/tap.
Attach the SIFT+ tap connector
(24mm or 28mm depending on your
tap type) in it’s place. You may
require the assistance of a plumber
if the existing connector is xed
tightly.
Step 2 : Ensure the washer is
inserted into the top connector
of SIFT+. Wrap the thread of the
tap connector and the bottom
connector of the shower lter with
Teon tape to prevent leaks.
Step 3 : Align the top connector
of SIFT+ with the tap connector &
rotate clockwise to tighten. Use a
spanner to tighten fully.
Step 4 : Turn on the water and let
the water ow out for 3 minutes.
This will ush out harmless
discoloured water.
* SIFT+ will t on all standard taps &
faucets with 24 mm & 28 mm aerators.

7. Instructions for cartridge
cleaning/ reverse ushing
In case of clogging, please see the
following instructions:
Step 1: Hold the bottom of SIFT+ rmly
and turn the top shell anti-clockwise
to open the lter unit and remove the
cartridge.
Step 2: Gently tap the sides of the
cartridge against the wall to loosen
lumps that may have formed inside.
Step 3: Flip the cartridge with the
‘DOWN’ side facing upwards and re-
insert. Close the top shell by turning it
clockwise.
Step 4: Reverse Flushing- Attach SIFT+ to
a tap/faucet. Turn on the water and step
away from the path of the water. Let the
water ow out for 3-5 minutes. This will
ush out most sediments which may be
clogging the shower lter.
Step 5: Re-insert the cartridge with
the ‘UP’ side facing upwards. Close the
top shell and re-attach to your shower
head/faucet. This should resolve
clogging issues

8. Filter Cartridge
Replacement
Instructions
Step 1 : Hold the top shell of SIFT+
lter and turn the main body
counter-clockwise to open the
lter and reveal the cartridge.
Step 2 : Remove the old cartridge.
While inserting the new
cartridge & follow the directions
mentioned on the cartridge
sticker. Remember to remove the
sticker from the cartridge before
inserting.
Step 3 : Align the threads of the
top shell and the main body and
rotate clockwise to tighten fully
Step 4 : Turn on the water and let
the water ow out for 3 minutes.
This will ush out harmless
discoloured water.
