10. Assembly Instructions

Warning!

Use the fitting only with non-return valves and the grit filters specified.

Failure to observe can result in an increased bacterial load in drinking water and

cause a health risk or even risk of death.

☞Important!

Before installing, flush the pipes in compliance with DIN 1988.

☞Do not shorten the connector hoses located at the fitting.

☞Connect the fitting only to the original plug-in power supply. Connect the plug-in

power supply only to a socket carrying 230 V/50 Hz.

10.1

Install the fitting (a) on the washbasin (b).

☞Important!

Observe the range settings when installing on a stainless steel washbasin

Chapter 13.

☞The corner valves (c) must be provided by the customer.

10.2

Screw the connecting hose (d) on to the corner valve.

10.3

Insert the plug-in power supply into the socket.

10.4

Connect the line between the fitting and the power supply.

11. Function

11.1

Allow your hand to approach the sensor.

• Water flows.

11.2

Remove your hand from the sensor.

• Water flow stops automatically after a set flow duration.

☞The range of the sensor and the flow duration can be adjusted with the optional

remote control (FAR Order No. 2000101087).

☞Important!

Reflecting surfaces can influence the sensor. There is a risk of having permanent

reflections. ((see Chapter 13. for adjusting the sensor range).

“Auto-flush” function

Caution!

When the “Auto flush” function is used, the flow of water must be ensured.

• The "Auto-flush" function ensures that forced flushing takes place to exchange the

water in the tap lines after 24 or 72 hours of non-use.

• The “Auto-flush” function can only be switched on with the optional remote control

(FAR-Order-No. 2000101087).

• This function is switched off at the factory.

12. Controlling the Temperature

Sink mixer with mixing lever

12.1

Set the mixing lever (a) in the desired position.

13. Programmable Function Parameters

The optional remote control FAR Order No. 2000101087 offers the following

functions:

– Range can be set (3-20 cm)

– Turn-off delay can be set (0-10 s)

– Continuous flow can be switched to 3.5 min or 11 min.

– Switching off the fitting

– Basic settings can be restored

– Test mode for simulation without water

– Setting automatic safety switch-off (2–210 s)

– Automatic flushing can be activated

☞Important!

Reflecting surfaces can influence the sensor. There is a risk of having permanent

reflections. The range must be reduced for installations on reflecting surfaces such

as stainless steel washbasins. If this is not sufficient, an additional base/spacing ring

is available (see Chapter 20.).

14. Maintenance and Servicing

Depending on the quality of the water, the local conditions and the rules and

regulations applicable on site, the fitting must be maintained and serviced at regular

intervals.

Perform maintenance on the following components:

• Aerators (see Chapter 15.)

• Filters (see Chapter 16.)

• Non-return valves (see Chapter 17.)

14.1

Push up the cleaning clip (a) in front of the sensor.

☞The fitting is in sleep mode.

14.2

Properly use suitable cleaning agents that are not harmful to the fittings and rinse

with water after use. High-pressure cleaners must not be used for cleaning.

through hole.

16.9

Reassemble in the reverse order.

17. Replacing the Non-return Valve

Warning!

All non-return valves must always be replaced as a group.

Failure to observe can result in an increased bacterial load in drinking water and

cause a health risk or even risk of death.

Close the corner valves (b).

17.2

Trigger the valve.

17.3

Unscrew the connector hoses (a) from the corner valves.
