Technical Data

This full-featured CPU based thermostat is designed for small cooling and heating air handling systems in

residential and commercial facilities. The unit provides features which eclipse standard mechanical thermostats

at a price that ﬁts conventional HVAC projects.

Tight control of 0.5°C provides comfortable indoor environment with its built in sensor, which is located in

the controller and it will not be affected by the temperature of the wall on which it is mounted on.It is possible to

connect an external sensor for monitoring the temperature of different locations.

With a high impact plastic enclosure will provide durability in any commercial environment. The side panel

provides all the control buttons need to enable and create set-points for desired temperature settings and fan

settings. Changes in temperature can be monitored continuously at the shortest time interval possible.

Mounting Installations

TSTAT7 is speciﬁcally a wall mounted indoor use only thermostat that can be strategically placed

anywhere because of its size and weight. For ideal mounting preferably place in a clean and dry envi-

ronment and away from any areas that might affect the temperature reading such as a window.

There are two parts to the TSTAT7 product, one being the back plate that gets mounted onto the

desired surface and the other being the front cover.

1)Removing the TSTAT7 back plate from the front cover you must do the following steps:

a)Unfasten the screw that is located at the bottom of the back plate that holds the back plate

with the front cover.

b)Hold the back plate and gentle remove it from the front cover, allowing for the top of the

backplate to be dislodged from the plastic clippings that are located at the top.Pushing the plastic

clippings in while detaching may allow for a smoother process.

c)It should be free from connection to the terminal blocks but if not gently try to push in an upward

motion on the bottom of the front cover.

d)Now there should be two parts in your possession. You can lay the front enclosure panel down;

you will not need it until re-attaching it to the back enclosure panel once it is mounted. Place in a safe

area where neither side of the panel can be damaged. (Side note: When picking front panel back up

make sure to check that all components inside were not damaged)

2)Mounting the TSTAT7 back plate securely to desired surface:

a)Have the removed back plate in hand; knock out the center of the back plate. You can use the

butt end of the screw driver to do this. The back end once knocked out has no use anymore and can

be thrown out.

b)Insert the wires through the center of the back plate that has just been removed. If necessary,

use a wire stripper to remove about 1/4 of an inch of the plastic insulation from the ends of the wire.

c)Attach the wires to the correct screw terminals that are listed on the back plate. Below is a termi-

nal block that can aid in the connection of the wires. Also you can consult the wiring diagram to make

sure that everything is connected properly, so there are no problems after the front panel enclosure is

put on.

d)Fasten the screws that mount the back plate to the area you want to mount the thermostat

on. Make sure that the thermostat is level and ﬂush with the wall so no wires are stuck behind be-

fore screwing into the wall. The thermostat is a light weight product but for best installation preferably

screw the back plate into a stud behind the drywall.

e)Put the TSTAT7 directly over the mounting connectors and begin to push gently. The two plas-

tic clippings located at the top of the front cover should ﬁt together smoothly with the plastic slots on

the back plate. There might be some playing around with getting both slots to clip in nicely.

f)Now the front cover and the back plate should be ﬁrmly placed together with terminal

connections and plastic clippings in place. Re-fasten the screw that was taken out originally;securing

the back plate to the front cover.

For proper safety all wiring and controllers should be installed separately to avoid accidently

contact with one another. Make sure to keep wiring and equipment/controllers six feet from power

distribution, motors, etc. If these conditions are not satisﬁed; irregularities can occur with the system

or even fatal harm.

Operation

Item Description

Actual Temperature Display The thermostat displays the current temperature as sensed by the

internal temperature sensor.

Setpoint Display

Setpoint Up/Down

The current Heat or Cool setpoint is displayed. The setpoint may

be set by using the Modbus system or by pressing the Up/Down

buttons.

In Heat Mode, the Up/Down Buttons change the Heat setpoint.

In Cool Mode, they change the cooling setpoint.

In Auto, they change the last setpoint entered heating or cooling.

Day/Night Settings

Occupancy Settings

Indicates the occupancy status during the day(sun icon) or

night(moon icon) and man in(house) or out while occupied or un-

occupied described as follows: In occupied mode,it shows the sun

and the man in.In unoccupied mode,it shows the moon and the

man out. In low occupancy, it shows the moon and the man in.

Clock Display The current time is displayed in the second half of the screen.

Day of the week Indicates the current day by showing the following terms:

Mon,Tue,Wed,Thu,Fri,Sat,Sun

2 x 8 display for Setup & Status The 2 by 8 characters display shows all the informations,status

& setup concerning sensor(s),clock and all the advanced menu

keys(fan,occupancy schedule,units,etc...)

Temperature Units Indicates Celsius(°C) or Farenheit(°F) according to your prefer-

ence

Relative Humidity The thermostat displays the current relative humidity as sensed by

the internal humidity sensor(Optional)

Heat/Cool/Fan Icons Indicates the current status according to the setpoint and the cur-

rent conditions in the room. It shows a ﬂame when heat is on,a

snowﬂake when cooling and a fan when the fan is running.

Mode Buttons Used to select the Mode needed(Cool-Heat-Auto-Off)

Menu Button Enter the main menu and program all the settings.

-Advanced Menu(Scheduling,time format,temperature unit,Rh,fan)

OK Button Used to enter in the main menu and select one of the command.

Override Button This will cancel the unoccupied setting and start a timer that can

be adjusted through Modbus. This button is used in case of come

back during unoccupied mode.

Adjustable set-points

The buttons both the up arrow and down arrow allow the consumer to increase or decrease the

desired set-point they wish to have. To adjust the set-point on the room sensor can only be done

when the occupied symbol is being displayed on the LED panel. To increase the set-point tempera-

ture by a degree simply hit the up arrow button. To decrease the set-point temperature by a degree

simply hit the down arrow button and continue either step until desired set-point is achieved. After the

set-point is increased or decreased the LED panel will display the current set-point, until the tempera-

ture in the room reaches the desired set-point (warmer/cooler) of the occupant.
