Welcome to your FARA heater instruction manual. In the manual

you will ﬁnd the useful information pertaining to technical

speciﬁcations, usage instructions, safety and warranty information.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

FARA is a compact electric heater with ceramic heating elements

and a fan that combine to create an even and pleasant heat. Use

as stand alone or with the BOLDR app to unlock a host of smart

home and energy saving features.

PRODUCT INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Open the FARA packaging and remove and reserve the QR

Code that leads to the Set Up Instructions.

2. Unbox the Sensor, Sensory Battery & the Heater.

3. Place the heater on a smooth and hard surface to ensure the

product is stable.

4. Before plugging the heater in, ensure that the power switch on

the back is set to a neutral 0 position.

5. Setting the heater to the Iposition will output 800W while

setting the heater to the II switch position will output 1200W

6. If you are setting up the FARA heater with the BOLDR app,

please follow the instructions outline below.

Note: If the BOLDR app cannot ﬁnd the heater, please reset the it:

- Unplug the heater from the socket

- Plug it back it

- Flip the heater on it’s side and press the red reset button on/off

quickly 5 times or until you hear a quick double-click sound

- Once you hear the sound wait 5 seconds and press retry

SMART HOME SET UP:

If you are using the FARA Smart Home heater, please ensure

that you ﬁrst download the BOLDR app on your iOS or Android

device. The app can be found in the QR code below along side

video set up instructions.

TIPS:

• Always pair the sensor to a room before pairing the heater.

• Keep the heater unplugged while pairing the sensor.

• Wi-ﬁ Requirments: Works with standard 2.4Ghz Bandwidth!*

*You will need a standard 2.4 ghz Wi-Fi bandwth . If your router

has band steering, we advise that you uncouple the 2.4 ghz and

5.0 ghz networks. This can easily be done by logging into your

Wi-Fi router’s IP address!

INTENDED USE

Before using the product, the user should determine the suitability of

the product for its intended use. The product is intended for use as a

heating device for residential use as outlined in this document.

Use outside of this scope is NOT covered by the warranty.

*Based on 2.4 m. (7.9 ft) ceiling height and A+ insulation class.

FARA heaters are intended for use with a speciﬁc voltage which

is region based. The required voltage is based on the delivery

address.

If the heater is used in a different region than the delivery address

there are risks of overheating and damage.

Europe: 230V

Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric

SHELLY THERMOSTAT

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SHELLY THERMOSTAT

ONLY WORKS WITH THE BOLDR APP

To enable the Shelly Thermostat follow the in-app instructions.

Temperature measurement range: -40°C ÷ 60 °C (± 1°C)

Operational range: 30m indoors

• CAUTION! Use the device only with batteries which comply

with all applicable regulations. Inappropriate batteries may

cause a short circuit in the device, which may damage it.

• CAUTION! Do not allow children to play with the device,

especially with the Power Button. Keep the devices for remote

control of FARA (mobile phones, tablets, PCs) away from

children.

• Device Wake Up: To open the device, twist the top and

bottom part of the case counter clockwise. Press the Button.

The LED should ﬂash slowly. This means that BOLDR Sense is in

AP mode. Press the Button again and the LED will turn off and

BOLDR Sense will be in sleep mode.

LED States:

• LED ﬂashing quickly - AP Mode

• LED ﬂashing slowly - STA Mode (No Cloud)

• LED still - STA Mode (Connected to Cloud)

• LED ﬂashing quickly - FW Update (STA mode

connected Cloud)

Factory Reset: You can return your Shelly Thermostat to its Factory

Settings by pressing and holding the button for 10 seconds. Upon

successful factory reset the LED will ﬂash slowly.

CAUTION

When using the heater, leave a gap of a minimum of 50 cm. (20

inches) from the front of the grill to the nearest object or person.

Do not touch the cover grill while the heater is operational or

immediately after it has been used.

• CAUTION! At no point should the product be disassembled.

Opening the product enclosure will violate the warranty and

may lead to malfunction and danger to life.

• DO NOT operate the heater if the cord or plug is damaged

or after the heater malfunctions, or if it has been dropped or

damaged in any manner. Check each heater for damage

before installation. Make sure that the heater itself, the plug

and the cable are free of any visible signs of damage. If the

cord is damaged the appliance must be sent for repair to the

manufacturer (Baldr Group Ltd).

INTENDED USE

• This heater must only be used for the heating of people or

buildings. The heater is not to be used by children or persons

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack

of experience or knowledge. Children should be kept away

and should not be left unsupervised around the unit.

• DO NOT COVER THE HEATER.

• DO NOT BLOCK AIR SUPPLY TO THE HEATER FROM THE

BACK OR THE FRONT FOR THE RISK OF OVERHEATING.

• DO NOT USE IN BATHROOMS OR WET

ENVIRONMENTS IN ORDER TO AVOID DAMAGE AND

INJURY.

• DO NOT PLACE ANY FOREIGN OBJECT INSIDE OF THE

HEATER OR ON THE GRILL OF THE HEATER.

• Children should use the heater under the supervision of adult.

• Do not use in environments that contain ﬂammable gasses or

explosive materials.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE:

The heater should regularly be cleaned to prevent dust build up

which can lead to unpleasant smells.

• Before cleaning the heater, the heater should be fully

unplugged.

• Use a microcloth to remove dust and surface dirt. Only spot

clean with a damp cloth.

• Never submerge the heater or use alcohol based products on

the heater.

• Ensure heater is fully dry before using it again, if spot cleaning

with a damp cloth.

• When the heater is not being used for a prolonged period,

please store it in a dust free and dry place.

• If the heater has not been used for a prolonged period of

time, users may experience a temporary unpleasant smell

resulting from dust build up.

MAINTENANCE & REPAIR

DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical

functions of this product. Doing so will void your warranty. Repairs

must only be carried out by an authorised BOLDR service partner

or the manufacturer (Baldr Group Ltd).

WARRANTY

Within the warranty period, repair or replacement due to defects

in material and workmanship is completely free of charge; the costs

are covered by the manufacturer on presentation of your invoice

or delivery slip. A prerequisite for validity of the warranty is use of

the device as intended with observance of the speciﬁed conditions

of use. Any further warranty or claims are excluded. The warranty

covers the repair or replacement of the defective product only. Any

further claims or liability for consequential loss are excluded

WARRANTY RESTRICTION

The warranty will be void if the heater has been tampered with or

opened in any way. Baldr Group Ltd will assume no responsibility

for scratches on surface or frames after ﬁrst use. Baldr Group Ltd

cannot accept responsibility for damage, loss or injury caused by

ingress of water or moisture, accidental damage, mishandling,

external impact, adjustment by unauthorised personnel or failure to

follow the correct maintenance and safety precautions as stated in

the manual. If a fault or defect covered by the warranty occurs, the

heating panel has to be sent to an authorised service partner or the

manufacturer together with the invoice or original delivery note. If

sending by carrier the product should be properly packaged and

proof of purchase must be stated.

DISPOSAL

• The devices should not be disposed of with other household

waste at the end of it’s working life. Household users should

contact either the retailer where they purchased this product

for proper disposal or recycle them through the local return

system. For further information contact your municipal waste

management.
