As such, please take these items to a special disposal
site. Your hearing aid acoustician/doctor will be
happy to help you.
General warning notes
Improper use of pan, of the accessories and/or of
the battery may endanger your health. Please read
the following points with great care:
• The basic setting of the pan hearing system is
carriedoutbyauthorisedexpertsaccordingtothe
particular hearing loss. The user must therefore
only use the easily accessible operator elements
intended for him or her, as per instructions.
• Donotwearyourhearingsysteminmines,quarries
or other places where detonations are carried out,
norinareasexposedtoexplosionhazardsinsofar
as these are not approved for wearing hearing
systems.
• Variouskindsofradiation,asoccurringforexample
incomputertomography(CT)ormagneticresonance
imaging(MRI),maydamageyourhearingsystem.
Therefore do not wear your hearing system if you
mustundergoamedicalexaminationofthiskind.
• Interference from alarm equipment, room moni-
toringsystems,radioandTV,mobilephones,etc.
is of lower intensity and is therefore harmless to
your hearing system. This radiation can, however,
affect the sound quality of your hearing system
short-term, or produce unusual tones.
• Intermsofelectromagneticinterference,suchas
transmitters, it may be that the hearing quality of
your hearing system is impaired. In this case,
please distance yourself from the source of the
disturbance.
Your mobile phone may influence the sound
quality of your hearing system or produce
unusual tones. Please keep both devices away
from each other as far as possible.
• Thefunctionofpanmaybeimpairedif,forexample,
the battery capacity is running out. If so, there is
particular risk when walking near road traffic or if
you are otherwise dependent on warning noises.
• Pleasekeepyourbatteriesawayfrominfantsand
children.
• Neverreplacethebatterieswhenyouarewith
infants and children.
• Keep other people and children away from pan
when you are not using it.
• Nevertrytochargedisposablebatteriesinthe
charger!
• Swallowingthebatteriesendangershealthand
can cause serious injury and even death! Therefore:
Never store batteries alongside medication.
Please seek immediate medical attention in the
event of swallowing a battery.
• Improperhandlingmayloosensmall/thesmallest
components of the hearing system. Should a com-
ponent of this nature get into the throat, nose or
ear, please seek immediate medical attention.
• Pleaseconsultadoctorifyounoticeaforeignobject
in your ear canal, if skin irritation occurs or if by
wearingthehearingsystemyouexperiencean
increasedincidenceofcerumen(earwax).
• pan is able to emit signals with very high volume.
In order to prevent possible damage to residual
hearing, the hearing system must be adjusted by a
qualified hearing aid acoustician or doctor.
• Neverusepaninextremeweatherconditions,
suchasstronggustsofwind,solarirradiation(for
examplebehindthecarwindshield),extremeheat
(donotplaceonheatingdevices)orextremecold
(overnight in a cold car) and avoid contact with
chemicals or harsh cleaning agents.
•Consultyourhearingaidacoustician/doctorif
unpleasant itching, skin irritation or marking
occurs.
