DO NOT OBSTRUCT ANY AIRFLOW PATH OR VENTILATION PATHS OF THE BARBEQUE
• Donotobstructanyventilationportsonthebodyofthehoodofthebarbeque.
• Thegascylindermustbesecurelyplacedonthegascylinderhookassupplied.
• Itisimportantthatthegasculinderisnotpositionedunderthebarbequewheninoperation.
• Thegascylindermustbekeptoutofdirectsunlightandawayfromanyheatsources.
• Duringagascylinderswaporre-llensurethatallcontrolknobsareinthe‘OFF’positionandthere
arenonakedamesoncloseproximity.
• GashosesmustNOTbetwistedkinkedorunderanyformoftension,thegashosesshouldhang
freelywithnobends,folds,orkinks.
• Nopartoftheexiblehoseshouldcomeintocontactwithanypartofthebarbequethatwill
becomehotduringoperation.
• Aregularinspectionofthehoseshouldbemadetoensurethatitisnocracking,breakingcutting
ordeterioratinginanyotherway.
• Anydamagetothehoserequiresanimmediatereplacementfromyourlocalagentorgasexpert.
( III ) GAS CYLINDER CONNECTION
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONNECT THE GAS CYLINDER TO THE BARBEQUE BEFORE CHECKING AS
DESCRIBED BELOW
• Checkthatallthecontrolknobsareinthe‘OFF’positionbeforeanyattemptismadetoconnecttheregulator
tothegascylinder.
• Doublecheckthatthegascylindervalveissecurelyinthe‘off’positionbeforeattemptingto
connecttheregulatortothegascylinder.
• Maketheconnectionoftheregulatortothegascylinderitisimportanttonotethatthisconnection
isa‘LEFT HAND THREAD’.Aleftandthreadistightenedinan‘ANTI-CLOCKWISE DIRECTION’.
• Shouldtherebeanyconcerninmakingthecorrectregulatorconnectionpleasecontactthe
customerservicecentre.
( IV ) PRECAUTIONARY LEAK TEST
LEAK TESTS MUST BE CARRIED OUT IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA
• Conrmallcontrolknobsareinthe‘OFF’position.
• Openthegascontrolvalveonthecylinderorregulator.
• Tocheckforgasleaksasolutionofsoapywaterisrequired(50%waterand50%dishwashingliquid).
NEVER USE AN OPEN FLAME TO CARRY OUT A GAS LEAK TEST
• ThegaspipingsystemMUST becheckedforleaksbybrushingthesoapywatersolutionacross
eachjointincludingvalveconnections,hoseconnectionsandregulatorconnections.
• Ifbubblesappearacrossanyjointorconnectionthereisaleak:
• Immediatelyturnthegasvalve‘OFF’.
• Checkandretightenallgasconnectionsandjoints.
• Repeatfromstartofsection3 part ( IV ) PRECAUTIONARY LEAK TEST.
• Iftheleakhasbeencorrectedthenthebarbequecanbeused.
• IftheleakhasnotbeenxedDO NOT USE YOUR Barbeque
