General information
Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual accompanies this hand blender with chopping
bowl and contains important information on setup and handling.
For improved readability, the hand blender with chopping bowl
will be referred to only as the “blender” below.
Before using the blender, read the user manual carefully. This particularly
applies to the safety notes. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or
damage to the blender. When abroad, you must also observe country-specific
guidelines and laws. Store the user manual for further use. Make sure to
include this user manual when passing the blender on to third parties.
Explanation of symbols
The following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual, on the
blender or on the packaging.
WARNING! This signal symbol/word designates a hazard
with moderate risk, which may result in death
or severe injury if not avoided.
CAUTION! This signal symbol/word designates a hazard
with low risk, which may result in minor or
moderate injury if not avoided.
NOTICE! This signal word warns of possible damage to
property.
This symbol provides you with useful additional information on
handling and use.

Proper use
The blender is exclusively designed for blending liquids, chopping, mixing soft
ingredients, and puréeing soft ingredients. It is only intended for private use
and not suitable for commercial purposes.
Only use the blender as described in this user manual. Any other use is
considered improper and may result in damage to property.
The manufacturer or vendor cannot be held liable for damages incurred
through improper or incorrect use.
Safety instructions
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following:
a. Read all instructions.
b. To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put the
blender, the power supply unit or power cord in water or
other liquids.
c. This appliance should not be used by children and care
should be taken when used near children.
d. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or
taking off parts, and before cleaning.
e. Avoid contacting moving parts.
f. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or
plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or
electrical or mechanical adjustment.
g. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
h. Do not use outdoors.
i. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
j. Do not let cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
k. When mixing liquids, especially hot liquids, use a tall
container or make small quantities at a time to reduce
spillage.

l. Keep hands and utensils out of the container while
blending to prevent the possibility of severe injury to
persons or damage to the unit. A scraper may be used but
must be used only when the unit is not running.
m. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
n. For household use only.
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
A faulty electrical installation, excessive line voltage, or incorrect
operation may result in an electric shock.
− Only connect the blender if the line voltage of the socket
corresponds to the data on the rating plate.
− Only connect the blender to an easily accessible socket so
that you can quickly disconnect it from the power supply
in the event of a problem.
− Do not operate the blender if it exhibits visible damages or
if the power cord or plug is defective.
− If the power cord of the blender is damaged, the
manufacturer, its customer service team or a person with
similar qualifications must replace it.
− Do not open the housing; instead, have a qualified
professional perform repairs. Contact a qualified
workshop for this. Liability and warranty claims are
waived in the event of repairs performed by the user,
improper connection or incorrect operation.
− Only parts that comply with the original device data may
be used for repairs. This device contains electrical and
mechanical parts which are essential for providing
protection against sources of danger.
− The blender must not be operated with an external timer
or separate remote control system.
− Do not immerse the blender, the power supply unit or
power cord in water or other liquids.
− Never touch the power plug with wet or damp hands.
− Do not pull the power plug out of the socket by the cord;

instead, always pull it out by the plug itself.
− Never move, pull, or carry the blender by its power cord.
− Keep the blender and power cord away from open flames
and hot surfaces.
− Do not kink the power cord and do not lay it over sharp
edges.
− Only use the blender in indoors. Do not use the blender in
damp rooms or in the rain.
− Never store the blender such that there is a risk of it falling
into a tub or sink.
− Never reach to retrieve the blender if it has fallen into
water. In such a case, immediately disconnect the power
plug.
− Never insert any objects into the housing.
− Always switch the blender off and unplug it when you are
not using it, when you intend to clean it, or in the event of
a malfunction.
− This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify
the plug in any way.

sensory or mental capacities (e.g. partially disabled persons,
older persons with reduced physical and mental capacities)
or lack of experience and knowledge (e.g. older children).
− The blender can be used by persons with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the blender
in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
− The blender shall not be used by children.
− Keep children away from the blender and power cord.
− Do not leave the blender unattended while in operation.
