Key Items on the HDD Copy Dock
Note: Choose a Good Location
1. Allow adequate clearance for moving parts.
2. Do not place near heat sources such as radiators or air ducts,
or in a place subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust, high
humidity, high temperatures, electromagnetic radiation,
mechanical vibration or shock.
3. Good care will help assure maximum product life. Improper
operating environment and misuse may void the warranty.

Using the HDD Copy Dock
Duplicating Hard Drives
1. UsetheincludedpoweradapterandcordtoplugtheHDDCopyDockintoapower
outlet.
2. InserttheSATAHardDriveyouwanttocopyintotheslotmarked“SOURCE”.
Wheninserting,aligntheSATAportontheHardDrivewiththeSATAconnectorin
thedrivebayslot.
3. InsertthedestinationSATAHardDriveintotheslotmarked“TARGET”.When
inserting,aligntheSATAportontheHardDrivewiththeSATAconnectorinthe
drivebayslot.
Note: Make sure the target Hard Drive has the same or higher capacity than
your source Hard Drive. The duplication process will not start if the target
drive has a lower capacity. Also make sure the unit is not connected to a PC
through the USB port.
4. PowerontheHDDCopyDock.
5. PressandholdtheMODEbuttonfor3secondstochangetheduplicatorsModeto
CopyMode.
6. PressandholdtheCopybuttonfor5secondsandrelease.Theunitwillemitalong
beep.Therststatusbarindicatorlightwillbeginashingwhenthecloneprocess
starts.
Note: Starting the copy process will also erase all data on the target drive.
7. Theduplicationprocessiscompletewhenthestatusbarreaches100%andstops
blinking.
8. PowerofftheHDDCopyDocktoremovetheharddrives.

Using the HDD Copy Dock
Using as a USB HDD Docking Station
1. UsetheincludedpoweradapterandcordtoplugtheHDDCopyDockintoapower
outlet.
2. ConnecttheUSBType-Aconnectorortoyourcomputer’sUSBPort.
Note: The USB 3.0 Type-A connector is also compatible with USB 2.0 ports.
3. ConnecttheUSBType-BconnectortotheUSBPortlocatedonthebackofthe
HDDCopyDock.
4. Insert1or2SATAHardDiskDrivesintothedriveslotsonthetopoftheHDD
CopyDock.Wheninserting,aligntheSATAportontheHardDrivewiththeSATA
connectorinthedrivebayslot.
5. PowerontheHDDCopyDock.
Note: Any unformatted Hard Disk Drive will not show up as a drive in the
Windows® Operating System. You must format these drives using the operating
system’s tools.
