INTRODUCTION
Thank you for deciding to purchase from the Aidapt Solo Hinged Arm Supports range. This
range is manufactured from the finest materials and components available When installed
and used correctly they are designed to give many years of reliable trouble-free service.
Please examine your product for any visible damage before using. f you see any damage or
suspect a fault, please contact your supplier.
NB. This equipment must be installed by a competent person.

BEFORE USE
•Carefully remove all packaging. Avoid using any knives or other sharp instruments
as this may damage the surface of the product.
•Check the product for any visible damage f you see any damage or suspect a fault,
do not use your product as it may compromise your safety, but contact your
supplier for support.
FIXING OF WALL PLATE AND/ OR FLOOR PLATE
Firstly check the substrate where you intend to fix your hinged arm support, ensuring that it
is sound. Also check the type of substrate you intend to fix to e.g. brick/ block timber or
concrete. Always check the type of fixing you are going to use on this substrate for their
compatibility.
To fit the hinged arm support, choose the area where you intend to fix the product, offer up
and mark the wall through the fixing holes, ensuring that you keep the arm level and square.
RECOMMENDED FIXINGS
As substrate can vary considerably, we do not recommend particular fixings, but we suggest
that chemical fixings should be your first option for solid brick/ block and coach bolts onto
timber frames constructed from a minimum of 75 mm x 75 mm soft wood.
We cannot however accept liability for your choice of fixing and recommend that all hinged
arm support products are installed by an experienced and competent fitter.

We recommend that if you are in any doubt, you consult a reputable fixing supplies
company such as Hilti or Fischer.
Never install any hin ed arm support directly onto plaster board, MDF
(medium density fibreboard), chipboard or other composite material. This will
seriously compromise the safety of the user.
Never drill throu h pre-stressed concrete to install a hin ed arm support.
Always check for concealed electrical cables when installing hinged arm supports. Also check
your legal requirements under the N CE C 16th Edition relating to Earth bonding of
extraneous metal parts.
ADJUSTMENT OF LEGS (IF APPLICABLE)
Before fixing a hinged arm support with leg, remove the ‘E’ clip from the extension leg and
extend the leg to the desired height ensuring you do not exceed the last punched hole of
the extension leg. (see fig. 1).
Once you have achieved the desired height; reinstall the ‘E’ clip, ensuring that it has passed
through the extension leg and is fitting neatly and snug around the outside leg. (see fig. 2).

CLEANING
A useful guide to decontamination is MHRA leaflet DB2003(06).
Do not use abrasive cleaners as this could damage the surface of the equipment. For
cleaning, wipe with a clean cloth soaked in detergent solution and wring out. Depending on
the detergent manufacturer’s instructions the solution may be heated.
Wipe all surfaces of the equipment and the cloth should be re-immersed periodically and the
detergent changed frequently. The detergent should be rinsed or wiped off using a clean
cloth immersed in clean water and wrung out.
To disinfect make sure the equipment has been cleaned and dried and then wipe over with a
clean cloth and a compatible liquid disinfectant. After disinfecting clean with clean water
and dry.
When using detergent or disinfectants then please refer to manufacturers’ instructions and if
unsure then consult your local nfection Control Specialist for advice.
This equipment can be cleaned/disinfected by moist heat at 80oC for a minimum of 1 minute
or autoclaved at 80oC for at least 1 minute. After cleaning or disinfecting treat all joints with a
water dispersing agent, e.g. WD40.
REISSUE
f you reissue or are about to reissue this product, please thoroughly check all components
for their safety.
If in any doubt, please do not issue or use, but immediately contact your supplier for
service support.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
Please make a safety check of the product at regular intervals or if you have any concerns.

AVANT UTILISATION
•Retirez parfaitement l'emballage. Évitez d'utiliser un couteau ou tout instrument coupant qui
pourrait endommager la surface du produit.
•Vérifiez votre produit pour tout dommage visible. En cas de dommage ou de défaut suspect,
veuillez ne pas utiliser votre produit car il pourrait compromettre votre sécurité et contactez
votre fournisseur.
MONTAGE DE LA PLAQUE MURALE ET/OU DE PLANCHER
Vérifiez premièrement que le substrat où vous prévoyez de monter votre bras d'appui à charnière est
adapté. Vérifiez également le type de substrat où vous prévoyez de fixer la barre, par exemple, brique,
bois ou béton. Vérifiez toujours le type de fixations que vous allez utiliser sur le substrat et leur
compatibilité.
Pour fixer le bras d'appui à charnière, choisissez l'endroit où vous souhaitez monter le produit, marquez
le mur à travers les orifices de montage, en vous assurant de garder le niveau du bras en angle droit.
ATTACHES RECOMMANDEES
Le substrat pouvant varier considérablement, nous ne vous recommandons pas d'attaches particulières
mais suggérons que les fixations chimiques soient votre premier choix pour la fixation sur brique, des
boulons à tête bombée sur un mur en bois conçu à partir de bois tendre de minimum 75mm x 75mm.
Cependant, le choix vous appartient et relève de votre responsabilité. Par conséquent, nous ne pouvons
pas être tenus responsables des conséquences qui découleraient du fait d'une fixation inappropriée.
Nous vous conseillons de confier la fixation de votre barre d'appui à un installateur expérimenté et
compétent.

Si vous avez un doute, nous vous recommandons de consulter un fournisseur réputé de fixations tel que
Hilti ou Fischer.
Ne jamais installer un bras d'appui à charnière directement sur une plaque en plâtre, en
MDF (fibres à densité moyenne), aggloméré ou autre matériau composite. Cela pourrait
compromettre sérieusement la sécurité de l'utilisateur.
Ne jamais percer à tra ers du béton précontraint pour installer un bras d'appui à
charnière.
Vérifiez toujours les câbles électriques dissimulés lors de l'installation de votre barre d'appui à charnière.
AJUSTEMENT DES PIEDS (LORSQUE APPLICABLE)
Avant de monter un bras d'appui à charnière, enlevez le clip "E" du pied d'extension et tirez le pied à la
hauteur désirée en vous assurant de ne pas excéder le dernier orifice de montage du pied d'extension.
(voir fig. 1 .
Une fois la hauteur souhaitée atteinte, réinstallez le clip "E" en vous assurant qu'il est passé à travers le
pied d'extension et est ajusté et serré autour du pied extérieur. (voir fig. 2 . Ne jamais installer les pieds
d'extension avec une hauteur inégale ou de manière inclinée, cela compromettrait la sécurité de
l'utilisateur.

NETTOYAGE
Ce dépliant MHRA DB2003 (06) est un guide utile à la décontamination .
N'utilisez pas de produits de nettoyage abrasifs car cela pourrait endommager la surface de votre
équipement.
Pour le nettoyage, utilisez un chiffon propre imbibé d'une solution détergente puis rincez.
Selon les instructions du fabricant du détergent, la solution peut être chauffée.
Nettoyez toutes les surfaces de votre appareil, le chiffon doit être régulièrement plongé dans le
détergent et le détergent doit être changé fréquemment. Le détergent doit être rincé ou essuyé avec un
chiffon propre immergé dans de l'eau propre et bien essoré.
Pour désinfecter, vérifiez que l'appareil a été nettoyé et rincé puis séché avec un chiffon propre et un
liquide désinfectant compatible. Après la désinfection, rincez avec de l'eau propre et séchez;
Quand vous utilisez un détergent ou un désinfectant, veuillez respecter les instructions du fabricant et,
en cas de doute, consultez votre spécialiste en contrôle des infections pour obtenir des conseils.
Cet équipement peut être nettoyé/désinfecté avec de la vapeur chaude à 80
o
C pendant 1 minute
minimum ou placé dans un autoclave à 80
o
C pendant au moins 1 minute. Après le nettoyage ou la
désinfection, traitez tous les joints avec un agent de dispersion de l'eau comme le WD40.
RÉUTILISATION
Si vous réutilisez ce produit ou si vous êtes sur le point de le réutiliser, veuillez vérifier minutieusement la
sureté de tous les composants.
En cas de doute, euillez ne pas utiliser le produit et contactez immédiatement otre fournisseur.
SOIN ET ENTRETIEN
Effectuez un contrôle de sécurité régulier de votre produit ou dans le cas où vous auriez un doute.

ANBRINGEN DER WAND- ODER BODENPLATTE
Überprüfen Sie zuerst den Unter rund, auf welchem Sie die Armlehne anbrin en möchten, und stellen
Sie sicher, dass dieser in Ordnun ist. Prüfen Sie auch, um welche Art von Unter rund es sich handelt,
zum Beispiel Zie el, Holz oder Beton. Stellen Sie stets sicher, dass Sie die eei nete Befesti un sart für
den jeweili en Unter rund wählen.
Um die Armlehne festzuschrauben, wählen Sie die entsprechende Stelle an der Wand aus. Halten Sie die
Armlehne da e en und markieren Sie die Stellen zur Bohrun durch die Bohrlöcher in der Armlehne.
Stellen Sie dabei sicher, dass Sie die Armlehne parallel zum Boden und rechtwinkli zur Wand halten.
EMPFOHLENE BEFESTIGUNGSARTEN
Da der Unter rund erheblich variieren kann empfehlen wir keine bestimmte Befesti un sart. Dennoch
schla en wir vor, dass chemische Befesti un en Ihre erste Wahl für Zie el sein sollten sowie
Schlossschrauben auf Holzrahmen mit Mindestabmessun en von 75 mm x 75 mm.
Wir können jedoch nicht für Ihre Wahl der Befesti un sart haften und empfehlen, dass Sie alle
Armlehnen dieser Produktreihe von einem erfahrenen und kompetenten Installateur anbrin en lassen.
Sollten Sie Zweifel haben, empfehlen wir, dass sie einen renommierten Hersteller von
Befesti un sinstrumenten, wie z.B. Hilti oder Fischer, kontaktieren.
Insta ieren Sie diese Arm ehnen niema s direkt auf Gipskartonp atten, MDF (mitte dichte
Faserp atten), Spanp atten oder jedem anderen Verbundbaustoff. Dies kann die Sicherheit
