with step by step guidance to install & use UPS. It contains important safety

FEATURES OF UPS
INSPECTION

THE UPS:
INTRODUCTION
1. AVR Input Range 140V - 300V.
2. 3(4) Output sockets.
3. OFF mode battery charging.
The UPS is a Line interactive uninterruptible power system (UPS). When utility input is Normal, the
UPS will charge the internal battery. If the utility input is abnormal, the UPS can supply AC power
to the load immediately without resetting the computer.
1. Utilizes microprocessor based controls, to get assurance of reliability.
2. Automatic frequency selection to match with utility power.
3. Advanced battery management to prolong battery’s life and fully charge the battery.
4. Overload & short circuit protection both in line and battery mode.
ZYPRESSEN UPS products are designed keeping in mind any possible severe conditions. It has
below unique features, which no ordinary UPS provides

Remove the UPS from its package and inspect it for damage that may have occurred during ship-
ping. If any damage is discovered, re-pack the unit and return it to the place of purchase.
Connect AC power cord to utility power. Then, the UPS will start to charge inside battery. For best
result, charge the battery for 6 hours prior to initial use.
Plug your equipment to Battery Backup Outlets on the rear panel of the UPS.
NOTE: Make sure that the UPS is powered on to protect all important devices from data loss
during power failure.

CAUTION: NEVER connect a laser printer or scanner to the battery backup outlets of UPS.
The equipment may draw signicantly high power to overload the UPS.

MONITORING SOFTWARE FOR Z3 1000VA UPS (USB)
To turn on the UPS unit, press the power switch lightly. Then, the LED will light up.
To turn off the UPS unit, press the power switch again. Then, the LED will go off.
When the UPS is off and there is no power utility, it’s still possible to cold start the UPS unit to
power the loads.
ViewPower monitoring software included in the package. Please insert CD and install ViewPower
software on your PC, following on-screen instructions. When your computer restarts, the monitor-
ing software will appear as an orange plug icon located in the system tray, near the clock.

Battery backup outlets:
Plug sensitive equipment into battery backup
outlets. Battery power is automatically
provided in case of a power outage.
AC input

The fuse will be burned out if an overload
condition forces the UPS to disconnect itself
from utility power.
USB communication port (only for Z3
1000VA UPS):
To monitor the UPS status, such as
unattended UPS shutdown and start-up, by
using download software, please connect the
UPS and PC with USB cable included.

PLACEMENT
STORAGE
Battery mode:
When the UPS is in battery backup mode (battery mode), the UPS sounds an audible alarm every
10 seconds.
Low battery:
When the UPS is in battery backup mode (battery mode) and the battery energy begins to run low,
the UPS will beep every second.
Overload:
When the UPS is overloaded, the UPS will beep every 0.5 second to warn an overload condition.
Fault:
When there a UPS fault occurs, the UPS will continuously beep.
Install the UPS in a protected area that is free of excessive dust and has adequate air ow. Place
the UPS away from other units at least 20 cm to avoid interference. For best performance, keep
the indoor temperature between 0°C and 40°C.
All connected equipment should be turned off, then disconnect from the UPS to avoid battery drain.
Unplug the UPS from the wall outlet. Then turn off the UPS for storage. Store the UPS unit covered
and upright in environments where the ambient temperature is -20 C to 50 C with its battery fully
charged.
