- Please read these instructions carefully before installing and operating your Williamson-Thermoflo portable air
conditioner. They will help you to derive the maximum benefit from your air conditioner.
- The air conditioner should always be operated or stored in an upright position. If you have any reason to
believe that it was not always in an upright position during the 24 hours before you acquired it, leave it
upright for 24 hours before attempting to operate it. This will help to ensure that your air conditioner will run
properly.

INTRODUCTION
For future reference, we suggest you attach a copy of your sales slip/receipt to this page, along with the following
information which is located on the manufacturer’s nameplate located on the side of the unit. You will be asked this infor-
mation if your unit requires servicing and/or for general inquiries.

Carefully read these safety precautions before using your air conditioner.
These precautions must be taken at all times.
Keep this document for future reference.
- Unit must be supervised in presence of children or anybody unfamiliar with it.
- Do not hang or place any clothing or other objects on the unit.
- Do not place any obstacles in front of the unit.
- This device must be installed according to the national electrical code.
- Never spill any liquid into the unit. If this should accidentally happen, turn off the electrical circuit breaker used for your
air conditioner and contact your installation specialist.
- Do not insert anything between the airflow blades to avoid any damage to the inner fan and to avoid possible harm.
- If the remote control is not used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent leakage of electrolyte.
- Any damaged electrical component should be replaced by a certified HVAC technician.
- Users of this appliance are warned NOT TO ATTEMPT ANY REPAIRS on this product, doing so is at their own risk.
Instead, they are requested to contact a certified HVAC technician or the outlet at which the product was purchased.
Caution:
The manufacturer does not take any responsibility for any damage or injuries caused by inadequate
installation. An accident may occur if the installation is not executed as instructed in the installation
manual. If you experience any difficulty during the installation, you must contact a cerified HVAC
technician, a designated service center or the outlet at which the product was purchased.

2. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

GROUNDING
- For personal safety, this appliance must be properly grounded.
- The appliance’s power cord is equipped with a three-prong (grounding) plug that mates with a standard three-prong
(grounding) wall outlet to minimize the possibility of electric shock.
- Have the wall outlet and circuit checked by a qualified electrician to make sure that the outlet is properly grounded.
- If you encounter a two-prong wall outlet, it is your personal responsibility and obligation to have it replaced with a
properly grounded three-prong wall outlet.
- DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CUT OR REMOVE THE THIRD (GROUND) PRONG FROM THE POWER CORD.
HANDLING THE CORD
- Never use the electrical power cord to turn the unit on or off.
- Grasp the plug to remove the cord from the outlet. Never pull on the cord to remove the plug from the outlet.
USE OF EXTENSION CORD NOT RECOMMENDED
Because of potential safety hazards under certain conditions, we strongly recommend that you don’t use an extension
cord. However, if you do choose to use an extension cord, it has to be a UL-listed, 3-wire, grounding, appliance exten-
sion cord with a grounding plug (to be used with only a corresponding outlet) and that the electrical rating of the cord is
20 amperes (minimum) and 120 volts.
TO REDUCE RISKS
- To reduce risks of fire or electrical shock, do not expose the unit to rain or moisture.
- Do not open the cabinet while the unit is connected to a power source. Dangerous voltage is present.
- Have repairs performed by a certified HVAC technician.

When operating the air conditioner, point the remote control toward
the signal receiver on the air conditioner and the operation should be
confirmed by a beep sound and icon display.
Note:
• The remote control works within a distance of 23 ft. and at a
maximum angle of 30 degrees.
• Dust, high temperatures and strong vibrations must be avoided.

When you set the temperature of your portable air conditioner with either the remote control or the control panel on the unit,
the selected temperature will appear for 5 seconds on the control panel display before the room temperature reappears.
Note:
The remote control only displays the desired target temperature.

5.CONTROL PANEL BUTTONS AND DISPLAY

1. Slide the battery cover (on the rear of the remote control) in the direction of the arrow and remove it.
2. Insert the two batteries by respecting the polarities indicated.
3. Close the cover by sliding it back until it clicks into place.
Caution:
In replacement of batteries:
• Do not use old batteries or different kinds of batteries together.
• Use two AAA, 1.5V alkaline batteries.
• If you do not expect to use the remote control for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent the
leakage of electrolytes.
