Assembling Your Food Processor
CAUTION:Followtheseimportantstepstoassemblethefoodprocessorquickly
andcorrectly.Injurymayresultifmovingbladesareaccidentallyexposed.Unplug
appliancefromelectricaloutletbeforeassembling,removing,orcleaning.Never
placemotororcordinwaterorotherliquids.
Beforeassemblingyourfoodprocessor,washallloosepartsinwarm,soapywater,
rinsethoroughlythendry.
1. Aligntabsoncontainerwithlockingslotsonbase.Rotatethecontainerclock
wiseuntilitlocksintoposition.NOTE:Thefoodprocessorwillnotoperate
unlessthecontainerissecurelylockedintoposition.
2. Placethechoppingbladeorbladeextensionhubintoplaceoverthemotor
shaft.Thebladeextensionhubassemblesonlyoneway,andisused
tosupportthereversibleslicing/shreddingblade.NOTE:Donotattempttouse
boththechoppingbladeandtheslicing/shreddingbladeatthesametime.
3. Placecoveronbase.Thetabonthecovermustrotateclockwiseandengage
theslotinthetopofthehandle.NOTE:TheFoodProcessorwillnotoperate
unlessthecoverislockedintoposition.
4. Insertfoodpusherintolidcoveropening.
5. YourStudioFoodProcessorisnowreadyforuse.

Using Your Food Processor – Chopping and Mixing
1. FollowtheassemblyinstructionsintheAssemblingyourFoodProcessorsection.
2. MakesuretheswitchisOFFandthefoodprocessorisunplugged.
3. Thechoppingbladecanbeusedtocoarselyornelychop,andmincefoods.
Increasedprocessingtimewillresultinfoodsthatarepuréedtoasmooth
consistency.
4. Placechoppingbladeovermotorhub.Bladesaresharp-handlecarefully.
5. Formoreuniformresults,startwithfoodpiecesthatareuniforminsize.
Foodpiecesshouldbepre-cuttoapproximately1-inchinsizeforbestresults.
6. Addingredientstothefoodprocessorcontainer.Securelylockthecoverinplace.
7. Placecoveronfoodprocessorcontainer.
8. Plugcordintooutlet.
9. Alwaysoperatefoodprocessoronaclean,drysurfacetopreventairfrom
carryingforeignmaterialorwaterintothemotor.
10.TOCHOP:ChooseLOWspeedtoobserveresults.Theprocessingspeed
andtimewilldetermineresults.Thepulsesettingwillhelpyouavoidover-
processing.
11.TOMINCE:Increaseprocessingtimeorspeed.
12.TOPURÉE:UsetheHIGHsetting.
13.TheblueLEDlightwillbe“ON“duringoperation.
14.UserubberspatulatopushingredientstobechoppedONLYwhenmotorisOFF.
15.Switchtoahigherspeedifthemotorseemstolaborwhenprocessingtopre-
ventover-loadingofthemotor.
16.TOSTOPPROCESSING:TurntheswitchtoOFF.
17.Waituntilbladesstoprotatingbeforeremovingcoverand/orprocessingcontainer.
18.Removeprocessorcontainerbyturningcounter-clockwiseonbasetounlock.
Using Your Food Processor – Slicing and Shredding
1. FollowtheassemblyinstructionsintheAssemblingyourFoodProcessorsection.
2. MakesuretheswitchisOFFandthefoodprocessorisunplugged.
3. Thereversibleslicing/shreddingbladecanbeusedtosliceorshredrmfoods
intothefoodprocessorcontainer.
4. Placebladeextensionovermotorhub.Bladesaresharp-handlecarefully.
5. Placeslice/shredbladeontothehub.
6. Placecoverontofoodprocessorcontainer.
7. Formoreuniformresults,startwithfoodpiecesthatareuniforminsize.Food
piecesshouldbeprecuttotintothefoodpusheropeningonthecover.
DONOTUSEFINGERSTOPUSHFOODINTOTHEOPENING.
8. Addfoodpiecesintothefoodpusheropeningontopofthecover.Placefood
pusherintoopening.
9. Plugcordintooutlet.
10.Alwaysoperatefoodprocessoronaclean,drysurfacetopreventairfrom
carryingforeignmaterialorwaterintothemotor.
11.TOSLICE:ChooseLOWspeed.Exertmediumpressuretoevenlyfeedfoods
intoshreddingblade.Bestresultsareobtainedbyllingfoodpusheropening
withfoodstobesliced.Long,thinfoodshouldbepacednexttoeachother
llingthefoodpusheropening.

12.TOSHRED:Usetheshreddingportionofthereversibleslice/shredblade.
Useanevenpressuretofeedfoodsthroughtheblade.Bestresultsareob
tainedwhenthefoodstobeshreddedarerminconsistency.Refrigerating
softfoods,suchascheese,willresultinmoreevenprocessing.
13.TheblueLEDlightwillbe“ON”duringoperation.
14.Donotoverllthefoodprocessorcontainer.Whencontainercapacityhas
beenreached,emptycontainerbeforecontinuingtosliceorshredadditional
foods.Followinstructionforassemblingandusingyourfoodprocessorprior
toremovingorreassemblingparts.
15.TOSTOPPROCESSING:TurntheswitchtoOFF.
16.Waituntilbladesstoprotatingbeforeremovingthecover,foodpusherandor
processingcontainer.
17.Removeprocessorcontainerbyturningcounter-clockwiseonbasetounlock.
Tips for General Use
Removing Processed Food
1. Beforeremovingprocessedfood,turnthedialtotheOFFpositionandwaitfor
thebladetostopspinning.Unplugtheunitandthenremovethelidbyturning
itcounter-clockwisetounlock.Nevertrytoremovethelidandthecontainer
togetherasoneunit;thiscandamagethefoodprocessor.
2. Becarefulnottoletthechoppingbladeorslicing/shreddingbladediscfallout
ofthecontainerasyouemptyit.Topreventthechoppingbladefromfalling
out,carefullyremovethechoppingbladebyliftingupontheplastichub.To
removetheslicing/shreddingbladedisc,gripthecenterhubusingtwongers
andliftstraightup.Besuretoremovethebladeordiscbeforeattemptingto
emptyouttheprocessedfood.
3. Toliftthecontaineroffthemotorbase,turnthehandleofthecontainer
counter-clockwisetounlockandliftthecontainerstraightup.
NOTE:Occasionally,apieceoffoodmaybecomewedgedbetweentheblade
andthecontainer.Ifthishappens,unplugtheunit,removethelid,liftthe
bladeoutcarefullyandremovethewedgedpiece.Emptythecontainer,re-
inserttheblade,replacetheingredientsandlockthelidintoplacetocontinue
processing.
Hints for Preparing Foods for Chopping or Mixing
Fruits and vegetables-
Peelandcoreifnecessary.Removelarge,hardpitsandseeds.Cutinto3⁄4-inch
piecesandprocessupto1-cupatatime.
Meat, poultry and fish-
Meatshouldbecoldbutnotfrozen.First,cutinto3⁄4-inchpieces.Putupto1⁄2
poundofmeatincontainer.Pulseorrunmotorcontinuouslyuntildesiredconsistency
isreached.Checktextureevery2or3secondstoavoidover-processing.

Cleaning Your Food Processor
1. Switchfoodprocessorto“OFF”positionandunplugfromelectricaloutlet.
2. Hand-washallpartsinhotsoapywater,rinse,anddry.Becarefulofblades
whenwashinganddrying.Donotwashanypartsinthedishwasher.
3. Wipemotorbase,controlknob,andcordwithadampclothorsponge.To
removestubbornstains,useamild,non-abrasivecleanser.Neversubmerge
motorbaseinwater.
4. Reassemblethefoodprocessorforstorage.
5. Foodprocessorpartsarecorrosionresistant,sanitaryandeasilycleaned.
Beforerstuseandaftereveryuse,separatecontainerpartsandcleanthor-
oughlyinwarm,soapywater,rinseanddrywell.DONOTWASHANYPARTS
INANAUTOMATICDISHWASHER.Periodicallycheckallpartsbeforereas-
sembly.Ifanypartsarechippedorcracked,DONOTUSEFoodProcessor.
Bread, crackers or cookies-
Breakinto1-inchpiecesandprocesscontinuouslyuntildesiredtextureisreached.
Hard cheese-
Ifcheeseistoohardtocutwithaknife,don’ttrytochopitinthefoodprocessor
asitmaydamagetheblade.(Donotattempttochopparmesancheeseinthe

consistencyisreached.Youmaychopcheeseascoarseorasneasyouwant.
