EN – Headband earmuff with FM radio
Model 78218/2577518 is a headband earmuff with a built-in digital FM stereo radio.
It is specifically designed to protect your hearing when working under noisy conditions and allows you to
create a suitable working atmosphere by listening to the radio undisturbed.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
1. Open the battery cover. Insert two 1.5V AAA batteries. Batteries not included.
Make sure that the + and – poles are in the correct position.
2. Slide out the shells and place the headset over your ears with the headband facing upwards. Push the
shells evenly upwards until the headband lies on your head. Please make sure that the ear cushions
cover the outer ear completely and have a tight fit.
3. The headband should only rest gently on the head. Ensure that there is effective noise protection.
4. Switch on using the on/off button and select the desired channel using the [UP/DOWN] buttons.
5. FM from 87.5-108MHZ with 0.1 MHZ interval.
6. To perform a quick scan and search for channels, press and hold the [UP/DOWN] buttons for
three seconds.
7. The L and R markings on the side of the ear protectors indicate the left (L) and right (R) side.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. The headband earmuff must be put on, adjusted, cleaned and maintained in accordance with the
manufacturer’s instructions.
2. The headband earmuff should be worn at all times in noisy surroundings for full protection.
3. The headband earmuff must be regularly inspected for serviceability.
4. The headband earmuff may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Contact the
importer for further information.
5. The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the hearing
protector.
6. Incorrectly installed batteries can damage the circuitry. Never replace batteries with the unit
switched on. Ensure that the battery is positioned correctly before using.
7. This headband earmuff is provided with electrical audio input. The wearer should check correct
operation before use. If distortion or failure is detected, the wearer should refer to the
manufacturer’s instructions.
8. This headband earmuff provides an entertainment audio facility. The audibility of warning signals
at a specific workplace may be impaired while using the entertainment facility.
Small, medium and large size headband earmuffs will fit the majority of wearers.
Warning: If users do not follow these recommendations, attenuation and other functions will be severely
impaired.
The output of the electrical audio circuit of this headband earmuff may exceed the daily limit sound level.
Check and replace batteries if necessary.
The audibility of warning signals at specific workplaces may be impaired while using the entertainment
facility.
Risk
Misuse or failure to wear headband earmuffs at all times that you are exposed to noise may result in hearing loss
or injury. For proper use, see the user instructions.
Do not bend or reshape the headband, as this will cause a loose fit and sound leakage.
Do not disassemble, modify, or service this device. The unit contains no user serviceable parts.
DISINFECTION/CLEANING:
Clean the outside of the unit regularly using a slightly damp cloth and warm soapy water. Let the headband
earmuff dry before reusing it. Do not use brushes or other material otherwise the noise absorption inserts or
ear cushion could be damaged. Never immerse the headband earmuff in water. Use only detergents that are
innocuous for the user.
MAINTENANCE:
The hearing protector radio, and particularly the ear cushions, can degenerate over time and may deteriorate
with regular use and should be examined at frequent intervals for cracking and leakage, for example.
The headband should not be bent or unnecessarily adjusted since the tension force is an important element
to maintain the insulating properties.
STORAGE:
Store the unit before and after each use inside its packaging box to keep it free from dust and dirt.

Model 78218/2577518 bestaat uit oorkappen met ingebouwde FM-stereoradio.
Het product is speciaal ontworpen om uw gehoor te beschermen tijdens het werken in lawaaierige
omstandigheden en zorgt voor een geschikte werksfeer waarbij u ongestoord naar de radio kunt luisteren.

GEBRUIKSINSTRUCTIES:
1. Open het batterijklepje. Plaats twee 1,5V AAA-batterijen. Batterijen niet inbegrepen.
Zorg ervoor dat de + en - polen zich op de juiste positie bevinden.
2. Schuif de schelpen uit en plaats de oorkappen over uw oren met de hoofdband omhoog. Duw de
schelpen gelijkmatig omhoog totdat de hoofdband uw hoofd raakt. Zorg ervoor dat de oorkussens de
buitenkant van het oor volledig bedekken en goed aansluiten.
3. De hoofdband moet losjes op uw hoofd liggen. Controleer of er effectieve geluidswering plaatsvindt.
4. Zet de radio aan met de aan/uit-knop en kies het gewenste kanaal met de [UP/DOWN]-knoppen.
5. FM van 87.5-108 MHz met 0.1 MHz-interval.
6. Houd de [UP/DOWN]-knoppen drie seconden ingedrukt om een snelle scan uit te voeren om te
zoeken naar kanalen.
7. De markeringen L en R aan de zijkant van de gehoorbeschermers geven de linkerzijde (L) en
rechterzijde (R) aan.
ADVIEZEN:
1. De oorkappen moeten worden gedragen, versteld, schoongemaakt en onderhouden in
overeenstemming met de gebruiksaanwijzing van de fabrikant.
2. De oorkappen moeten altijd worden gedragen in lawaaierige omgevingen voor volledige
bescherming.
3. De oorkappen moeten regelmatig worden gecontroleerd op bruikbaarheid.
4. De oorkappen kunnen nadelig beschadigd raken door bepaalde chemische substanties. Neem
contact op met de importeur voor meer informatie.
5. Het plaatsen van hygiënische afdekking op de oorkussens kan de akoestische functie van de
gehoorbescherming beïnvloeden.
6. Foutief geplaatste batterijen kunnen het circuit beschadigen. Vervang de batterijen niet als het
apparaat is ingeschakeld. Controleer voor gebruik of de batterij goed is geplaatst.
7. De oorkappen zijn voorzien van elektrische audiotoevoer. De drager moet voor gebruik
controleren of de gehoorbescherming correct functioneert. In het geval van vervorming of
gebreken, moet de drager de instructies van de fabrikant raadplegen.
8. Deze oorkappen bieden een mogelijkheid voor audio-entertainment. De hoorbaarheid van
waarschuwingssignalen op specifieke werkplekken kan aangetast worden bij gebruik van de
mogelijkheid tot audio-entertainment.
Oorkappen in de maat small, medium en large zullen de meeste dragers passen.
Waarschuwing: Wanneer gebruikers deze adviezen niet opvolgen, worden de demping en andere functies
aanzienlijk aangetast.
De uitvoer van het elektrische audiocircuit van de oorkappen kan het dagelijkse limiet van geluidsniveau
overstijgen.
Controleer en vervang de batterijen, indien nodig.
De hoorbaarheid van waarschuwingssignalen op specifieke werkplekken kan aangetast worden bij gebruik
van de mogelijkheid tot audio-entertainment.
Gevaar
Het verkeerd of niet gebruiken van oorkappen op momenten dat u wordt blootgesteld aan lawaai kan resulteren in

Buig of vervorm de hoofdband niet, dit veroorzaakt een losse pasvorm en geluidslekkage.

DESINFECTEREN/SCHOONMAKEN:

Gebruik alleen reinigingsmiddelen die onschadelijk zijn voor de gebruiker.
ONDERHOUD:
De gehoorbeschermingsradio en voornamelijk de oorkussens, kunnen in de loop van de tijd verslechteren en
slijten bij normaal gebruik. Controleer de gehoorbeschermingsradio daarom regelmatig op bijvoorbeeld
scheuren en lekken.
De hoofdband mag niet worden gebogen of onnodig aangepast, omdat de spanningskracht een belangrijke
rol speelt bij het behouden van de isolerende eigenschappen.
OPSLAG:
Bewaar het apparaat voor en na elk gebruik in de doos om het vrij te houden van stof en vuil.

INSTRUCTIONS POUR L’USAGE :
1. Ouvrez le couvercle du compartiment à piles. Insérez 2 piles AAA de 1,5V. Piles non incluses
Veillez à respecter la polarité des piles.
2. Déployez les coquilles et placez le casque sur vos oreilles avec le serre-tête orienté vers le haut.
Poussez les coquilles de manière égale vers le haut jusqu’à ce que le serre-tête repose sur la tête.
