USER MANUAL
HURRICANE 216 LUMEN
GENERAL PURPOSE LED FLASHLIGHT

Thank you for choosing Vulta.
The Vulta FG-B15 Hurricane projects
a crisp, white light with a 216-lumen
maximum output. Designed as a
reliable, general-purpose flashlight,
the FG-B15’s three constant-on modes
provide a range of illumination options
depending on your needs—whether it’s
sending a bright beam of light down the
street or a low glow for reading a map
on the side of the highway. In addition
to constant-on, there are strobe and
SOS modes for emergency situations
and signal communication. The
intuitive side-button system activates
the flashlight and changes modes and
output power.
The FG-B15 Hurricane incorporates
the CREE XM-L2, a breakthrough LED

lens that optimizes resistance to impacts
and scratches and maximizes throw
distance.

anodized aluminum alloy with a stainless-
steel bezel, and with a waterproof rating of
IPX-8, the FG-B15 Hurricane is a rugged tool
that will withstand harsh environments.
The 1/4˝-20 threaded socket on the tailcap
is great for photographers who need an
additional mountable light source. And at
only 3.2˝ long, this compact, everyday-
carry flashlight is just at home in a pocket
as it is in a pocketbook.

VULTA HURRICANE
A Note about Maximum Output
When the flashlight is in High mode, the
battery discharge, drive circuit, and LED will
all be producing heat, and the lamp head may
become extremely hot. Please be cautious
when touching it. To protect the battery,
circuit, and LED, and to extend the lifetime
of the flashlight, we do not recommend
continuously running the flashlight on High
mode for more than 10 minutes.
INSTALLING BATTERIES
The FG-B15 is powered by a single CR123/
RCR123 (3 or 3.7 V) battery.
To install a battery, follow these steps:
1. Unscrew and remove the lamp head from
the tailcap.
2. Insert the battery with the positive terminal
facing the lamp head.
3. Screw the lamp head back onto the tailcap
until secure.

OPERATION
The FG-B15 employs a side-button system to
power on the flashlight and switch between
the different modes.
TURNING ON THE FG-B15
Constant On: To turn on the FG-B15, give the
side button a quick press. Upon powering on,
the flashlight will enter High mode. The next
time you power on the flashlight, it will enter
the most recent constant-on mode.
Temporary On: Press and hold the side button
for temporary-on functionality. The flashlight
will remain on until you release the side
button. This mode is ideal for temporary
maximum brightness.

SETTING THE MODE
High/Medium/Low: There are three constant-
on modes: High, Medium, and Low. When the
flashlight is in Constant-On mode, press and
hold the side button to cycle through the three
constant-on modes in descending order of
brightness.
Strobe and SOS: Strobe mode continuously
emits quick flashes of bright light. In SOS
mode, the flashlight blinks brightly in the
international Morse code distress signal
pattern (· · · – – – · · ·). To enter Strobe mode,
start with the flashlight powered on and
quickly press the side button twice. To enter
SOS mode, quickly press the side button twice
again.
Lock: Locking the flashlight prevents it from
accidentally turning on during storage or
transportation. Before locking the flashlight,
make sure the flashlight has been turned off
for at least seven seconds. Quickly press and
then press and hold the side button so the
flashlight turns on and then off. To unlock the
flashlight, quickly press and then press and
hold the side button until the flashlight turns
on. Locking the flashlight will not clear your
current output setting.

10 VULTA HURRICANE
THREADED SOCKET
The 1/4˝-20 socket at the bottom of the
flashlight is perfect for mounting the light
to any photo accessory with 1/4"-20 male
threads or attaching the included lanyard with
stainless steel ring.
O-RING MAINTENANCE
The FG-B15’s O-ring is installed on the
threaded portion to help seal out water. The
O-ring is prelubricated to extend its life,
ensure smooth operation, and increase water
resistance. If the O-ring dries out or there
is little or no lubricant on it, we recommend
applying a small amount of O-ring lubricant.
The FG-B15 comes with a replacement
O-ring. If the original wears out after long-
term use, replace it with the included spare.
