Discover the magic of words. Touch the interactive pages to learn words,

phonics, objects and to enjoy music and sounds with Pepi Nana and her friends.

WARNING:

All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks, removable

tags, cable ties and packaging screws are not part of this toy, and should be

discarded for your child’s safety.

NOTE: Please keep this parent’s guide as it contains important information.

Unlock the packaging locks:

GETTING STARTED

BATTERY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

1. Make sure the unit is turned OFF.

2. Locate the battery cover on the

bottom of the unit. Use a coin or

screwdriver to loosen the screw.

3. If used or spent batteries are

present, remove these batteries

from the unit by pulling up on one

end of each battery.

4. Install 2 new “AA” size (LR6/AM-3)

batteries following the diagram

inside the battery box. (The use of

new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.)

5. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.

Rotate the packaging locks 90

degrees anticlockwise.

Pull out the packaging lock.

BATTERY NOTICE

• Use new alkaline batteries or fully charged NI-MH (Nickel Metal-hydride)

rechargeable batteries for best performance.

• Use only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended.

• Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc)

or rechargeable, or new and used batteries.

• Do not use damaged batteries.

• Insert batteries with the correct polarity.

• Do not short-circuit the battery terminals.

• Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.

• Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.

• Do not dispose of batteries in re.

• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.

• Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging (if

removable).

• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.

Disposal of batteries and product

The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries,

or on their respective packaging, indicates they must not be

disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that

can be damaging to the environment and human health.

The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that

the battery contains more than the specied value of mercury

(Hg), cadmium (Cd) or lead (Pb) set out in Battery Directive

(2006/66/EC).

The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the market

after 13th August, 2005.

Help protect the environment by disposing of your product or

batteries responsibly.

PRODUCT FEATURES

1. OFF / MODE SELECTOR

Slide the OFF / MODE SELECTOR to turn

the unit ON and choose Word Explorer mode,

Phonics Fun mode or Music & Sounds mode to

play. Slide the OFF / MODE SELECTOR to the

top of the mode selector panel to turn the unit

OFF.

2. 10 INTERACTIVE PAGES

Turn to any of the 10 INTERACTIVE PAGES

and touch the surface to explore and learn.

3. QUIZ TIME BUTTON

Press the QUIZ TIME BUTTON to play a

nding game. The light ashes when a question

is given or when the player answers the

question correctly.

4. VOLUME SWITCH

Slide the VOLUME SWITCH to select high or

low volume.

5. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF

To preserve battery life, the VTech®Moon and Me Touch & Learn

Book will automatically turn off after a few minutes of inactivity. The

unit can be turned on again by sliding the OFF / MODE SELECTOR or

pressing the QUIZ TIME BUTTON.

The unit will also automatically turn off when the batteries are very low.

HOW TO PLAY

To get the most from your VTech®Moon and Me Touch & Learn Book,

follow these simple instructions:

1. When playing, make sure the book is fully

open. The pages should lay at against the

front and back panels of the book.

2. For optimal performance, use one nger to

touch the centre of the text or picture.

INCORRECT OPERATION

To ensure proper touch responses, avoid the following actions when playing

with your VTech®Moon and Me Touch & Learn Book.

1. Do not touch a picture if the pages are not

laying down at.

2. Do not touch more than one picture at a

time.

3. Do not use more than one nger to touch a

picture on the page.

4. Avoid resting your hand on the page.

ACTIVITIES

1. Word Explorer

Touch the pictures to learn about words and objects related to “Letter

Writing”, “Tea Party”, “Music Box”, “Roundabout” and “Bed Time.” Touch

the upper, middle and lower story sensors on the left page to hear fun

responses.

2. Phonics Fun

Touch the pictures to learn the phonic sounds of the beginning letters.

Touch the upper, middle and lower story sensors on the left page to hear

fun responses.

3. Music & Sounds

Touch the upper, middle and lower story sensors on the left page to

choose a melody. Touch the words to add some fun sounds.

4. Quiz time

Press the quiz time button to play a nding game. Listen to the

questions and touch the pictures to answer.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

1. Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.

2. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat

source.

3. Remove the batteries when the unit is not in use for an extended period

of time.

4. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to

moisture or water.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If for some reason the program/activity stops working or malfunctions,

please follow these steps:

1. Turn the unit OFF.

2. Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.

3. Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.

4. Turn the unit back ON. The unit will now be ready to play with again.

5. If the product still does not work, install a brand new set of batteries.
