InnoTab® 3is a multi-function, touch screen tablet for 3-9 year olds. Children will

Slide this switch to open the battery covers.

Always replace the InnoTab® 3battery covers

after changing batteries.

Battery Compartments Insert 4 AA batteries, or use the VTech®

Rechargeable Battery Pack (sold separately).

Stylus String Installation

Battery Installation

•Makesurethetabletisturnedoff.

•Locatethebatterydoorlockslidingswitchonthe

back of the tablet. Slide the switch to open the

battery covers, then remove the covers.

•Insert4AAbatteriesasshowninimage2.

•Makesuretoreplacethebatterycovers.

Battery Notice

•Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.

• Standardsize(AA)rechargeablebatteriesaretoberemovedfromthetoy

before being charged (if removable).

• Rechargeablebatteriesareonlytobechargedbyanadultorbychildren8

years or older.

• Donotmixoldandnewbatteries.

• Donotmixbatteriesofdifferenttypes:alkaline,standard(carbon-zinc),

or rechargeable (Ni-MH).

Disposal of batteries and product

The crossed-out wheelie bin symbols on products and batteries, or

on their respective packaging, indicates they must not be disposed

of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be

damaging to the environment and human health.

The chemical symbols Hg, Cd or Pb, where marked, indicate that

the battery contains more than the specified value of mercury (Hg),

cadmium(Cd)orlead(Pb)setoutinBatteryDirective(2006/66/EC).

The solid bar indicates that the product was placed on the market

after 13th August, 2005.

NOTE: When InnoTab® 3is running on batteries,

you may see this icon appear on the screen .

This indicates that battery power is low, and

you should replace the batteries soon. Battery

time remaining once the icon first appears is

approximately 10-30 minutes, depending on the

type of batteries in use. After that, InnoTab® 3will show the very low battery

screen for 3 seconds, and then will turn off automatically.

To preserve battery life, InnoTab® 3will shut down automatically when there is

no input for a few minutes.

AC Adaptor

• UsingaVTech®adaptor(AC/DC7.5V)thatcomplieswithEN61558is

recommended.

• Makesurethetabletisturnedoff.

•Plugtheadaptor(soldseparately)intotheACadaptorjackonthetopof

InnoTab® 3.

•Plugtheadaptorintoawallsocket.

NOTE: The use of an adaptor will override the batteries. When the toy is

not going to be used for an extended period of time, unplug the

adaptor.

Standard Guidelines for Adaptor Toys

• Thistoyisnotintendedforusebychildrenunder3yearsold.

• Thetoymustonlybeusedwithatransformerfortoys.

• Theadaptorisnotatoy.

• Nevercleanapluggedintoywithliquid.

• Donotconnectthetoytomorethantherecommendednumberofpower

supplies.

• Donotleavethetoypluggedinforextendedperiodsoftime.

• ThetoyisonlytobeconnectedtoClassIIequipmentbearingthe

following symbol ).

• Pleaseexaminethetransformerregularlyfordamagetothecord,plug,

enclosure and other parts. In the event of such damage, please stop

using the damaged transformer until the damage has been repaired.

How to Play

STEP 1: Turn InnoTab® 3 On

Turn InnoTab® 3on by holding down the Power button for

a few seconds. A VTech®logo and an InnoTab® 3logo will

appear and remain onscreen for a few seconds.

STEP 2: Personalise Your Profile

The first time you turn on InnoTab® 3, you will be asked to

personalise your profile. When you are asked to enter your

name, use the on-screen keyboard to type in your name,

andtouchOKwhenyou’redone.Whenyouareaskedto

take your profile picture, touch the on-screen shutter

icon,thentouchOK.
