INSTALLATION
1. Adjust the swivel lighting heads up
or down and left to right to direct
light where needed.
2. The lighting head rotation is
limited—Figure 1. Try not to
extend beyond the angle shown;
otherwise it may cause internal mechanical damage.
3. Mount the unit in desired area using the template
attached below. Wall anchors and screws are included
for your convenience. Figure 2.
4. Plug the power adaptor into an AC
outlet and the power adaptor plug
into the night light unit. The night
light unit must be plugged into an
AC outlet to charge the battery.
Allowatleast48-72hoursfor
theinternal6VDCbatterytofully
charge to it’s rated capacity before
intitial operation. Figure 3.
NOTE:TheredLEDcharge
indicator will stay lit when the unit
is plugged into the AC power outlet.

OPERATION
NOTE: The on/off switch controls the emergency light only
1. Set the emergency light switch to one of the following:

During an electrical power failure:
a. The lights will automatically come on and last for
approximately 48 hours when the switch is set at

2. Set the night light switch to one of the following:
ON—Tomanuallyswitchnightlighton
OFF—Tomanuallyswitchnightlightoff
AUTO—SoftLEDnightlightautomaticallyturnsonat
dark/dusk.
NOTE: Emergency light will provide 80 hours of
continuous lighting for night light
SoftLEDnightlightautomaticallyturnsonatdark/dusk,
orwhenhouseholdlightingisoff.Nightlightautomatically
turns off at dawn, or when household lighting is on.
TESTING
1. Depress and hold the test button located on the front of
the product. The power adaptor must be plugged into
thelightandthebatterycharged.Oneortwoofthe
lights should turn on. When the button is released, the
light(s) will turn off.
2. If the lights do not come on, try one or more of the
following:
a.Unplugandreconnectthepoweradaptorpluginto
thelight.TheRedLEDcharginglightshouldbeon.
b.ConrmtheACoutlethaspower.
c. Press and hold the test button longer.

WARRANTY
USIElectric,Inc./UniversalSecurityInstruments,Inc.
(“USI”)warrantsthisproducttobefreefromdefectsin
material and workmanship for a period of one (1) year
from the date of purchase. This warranty shall not apply
to any batteries used in the product or to any damage
which may be caused by such batteries. This warranty
applies only to the original consumer purchaser and only
to products used in normal residential use and service. If
thisproductisfoundtobedefective,USI’sonlyobligation,
and your exclusive remedy, is the repair or replacement
oftheproduct,atUSI’sdiscretion,providedtheproduct
has not been damaged through misuse, abuse, accident,
modications,alteration,neglectormishandling.This
Warranty shall not apply to any product which is found to
havebeenimproperlyinstalled,set-up,orusedinanyway
not in accordance with the instructions supplied with the
product.

For replacement of this product under the terms of this
Warranty, contact the Customer Service Department

postageandhandlingfees.USIdoesnotwarrant,and
specicallydisclaimsanywarranty,whetherexpressor
implied,oftnessforaparticularpurpose,otherthanthe
warrantycontainedherein.Noimpliedwarrantyonthis
product, created by state law, shall extend beyond the
term of this warranty unless such law otherwise provides.
USIspecicallydisclaimsanyliabilityandshallnotbe
liable for any consequential or incidental loss or damage,
including, but not limited to, damages to any equipment
with which this product is used. Some states do not allow
the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may
notapplytoyou.Noagent,representative,dealer,or
employee of the company has the authority to increase
or alter the obligations or terms of this Warranty. This
Warrantygivesyouspeciclegalrightsandyoumay
also have other rights which vary from state to state. This
Warranty is only valid for merchandise purchased from
outletsintheUnitedStatesandCanada.
