UltraCOM3 intercom power supply
Door station power supply
The caller station can be operated on batteries. The observed battery life is 12 to
18 months. You can also choose to power it directly 12-24V from several sources
(transformer, gate power supply, solar panel, …) as long as it is a direct current (DC)
and 12 or 24V. To do this, connect the power supply to the terminal block located
in the caller station marked with 12-24V DC (see diagram see page 7).
Important: under no circumstances should you connect a 220V power
supply directly to the terminal block of your UltraCOM3 panel.
If you want to power your caller station with batteries, simply insert 4 type C batteries
(supplied) into the compartment, respecting the polarity. Battery life observed is
12 to 18 months. Please note: When using batteries selecting “ALWAYS ON” will
reduce battery life.
If you use a direct 12-24V power supply, the batteries can be used as a
backup power supply in the event of a power failure. It will then be important
to check the condition of the batteries in the long term (risk of leaking).
Caller station low battery information
When the caller station’s batteries are low, the icon is displayed on the handsets
and an audible alert sounds, reminding you to replace the batteries in the caller
station. Pressing any button temporarily silences the warning sound, but the icon
remains displayed until the batteries are replaced.
In addition, you have the option of checking the caller station’s battery level (LOW
or OK) from the Information menu (see page 16).
Handset power supply
The handset operates using an already installed Lithium battery. This will be
powered by the charging station that must be connected. To do this, follow the
following procedure:
• Connect the power plug to the back of the
charging station then plug the transformer into a
wall outlet.
• Place the handset on its charging station.
If the handset is switched o, it will switch on
automatically.

• The charging indicator should light up red during the charging process. Adjust
the position of the handset in the charger if this light does not come on. During
charging, the icon ashes until your handset is fully charged.
• The handset fully charges in approximately 4 hours on rst use. All segments
inside the icon will become solid and the icon will stop ashing.
The unit is now ready to operate. You can remove the handset from its charging
station or leave it on the charger, there is no risk of damage. When the battery
discharges and the voltage drops to a certain level, charging will resume
automatically. Each time the handset charges, you will see the icon ashing.
Handset low battery information
If the indicator comes on and you hear an audible alert (one beep every
30 seconds), the handset battery has reached a critical threshold and must be
recharged immediately on its station. To protect the battery, if the handset is not
charging when the icon is displayed, it will automatically switch o after
10 minutes. During charging, the icon ashes.
Lithium battery replacement
If the battery of your handset is faulty, it will be
possible to replace it.
To do this, press the lock button and slide the
battery compartment plate. Then disconnect the
battery from the plug.
Important: If replacing the handset battery, please ensure that the battery
is compatible, otherwise there is a risk of explosion. You can nd the
appropriate battery on our website.
