Do not use any damaged, deformed,
or corroded rotors.
●
Otherwise, the rotor can be broken
while spinning and cause unexpected
accidents or injury.
Do not use any damaged, deformed,
or corroded centrifuge tubes.
●
Otherwise, the tube can be broken
while spinning and cause a serious
injury.
Confirm the allowable max, RCF of
the tube.
●
Otherwise, it may be broken during
spinning, resulting in an unexpected
injury.
Ensure that there is no foreign
material in the rotor before operating
the instrument.
●
If any, its pieces may scatter during
spinning, resulting in serious injury.
Never attempt to touch the rotor
while spinning.
●
Failure to do so may cause serious
injury.
The instrument is a device which separates particles from a solution with the use of
centrifugal force.
When the centrifuge starts operation, the motor begins to drive and accelerate the
rotor. Once the set rotation speed is reached, it is maintained. The separation of
samples is attained by introducing centrifugal force generated by this rotor rotation.
When the lid is opened, the motor starts deceleration. When the rotor stops
rotation, a whole centrifuge cycle is completed.

<Installation location>
〇Choose a site for the instrument that is well ventilated and free of direct
sunlight.
〇Place the instrument on a sturdy and level surface such as a laboratory bench.
※Centrifuge machine weight:380 g
( Excluding samples)
〇Avoid installing on a slippery surface or surface prone to vibration.
〇Improper use can cause the centrifuge to become unstable or move while
running. Do not place any dangerous substances or objects within the safety
margin of 300mm around the centrifuge to avoid occurrence of a secondary
accident.
〇Install the instrument where the following environmental requirements are
met.
Ambient temperature: from 5 to 35℃ (no dew condensation allowed)
Relative humidity:75% RH or less
Altitude:not exceeding 2,000 m
<Moving and installing the device>
①Hold the centrifuge main body firmly with both hands and move it slowly.
※Do not hold the centrifuge by the rotor or lid. It may cause damage to the
instrument.
②Maintain a 300 mm clearance boundary around the centrifuge main body..
※Be sure to keep this Operator’s Manual handy for future reference.
3. INSTALLATION
3-1. Moving and Installing the Device
WARNING
Do not install the instrument in facilities that store chemicals
which could generate flammable gases or fumes.
●Electrical components can corrode and may cause a short circuit,
electrical shock or fire.

3-2. Connecting to the Power Source
<Assembling the AC adapter>
The AC adapter provided comes with the following 5 types of power plugs.
Assemble the type of plug that is compatible with the local power socket.
<Connecting to the power source>
①Insert the AC adapter provided into the connector on the main unit.
②Insert the type of plug that is compatible with the local power socket.
AC Adapter input voltage:AC 100-240V 50/60Hz
※Before connecting the centrifuge to the power source, make sure that the lid is
opened. If the lid is closed when the centrifuge is connected to the power
source, the rotor will immediately start spinning and can cause damage to the
centrifuge.
※To prevent lightning damage, unplug the instrument if you hear thunder.
WARNING
Be sure to use only the AC adapter that comes provided with
this product.
●Failure to do so may cause a fire or electrical shock.
7

4. OPERATION
<Preparing sample tubes>
Prepare the sample tube that is compatible with the rotor in use. Contact
distributors for specifications and details of the tube. Cleaning processes such as
sterilization and disinfection can cause deterioration in tube strength.
WARNING
CAUTION
Do not use the instrument to centrifuge explosive samples.
●Failure to do so may cause fatal or serious accidents. The instrument
is not an explosion-proof model. Do not centrifuge explosive or
flammable materials or substances which could react violently with
one another.
Do not use any damaged, deformed, or corroded centrifuge tubes.
●Otherwise, the tube can be broken while spinning and cause a serious
injury.
Confirm the allowable max, RCF of the tube.
●Otherwise, it may be broken during spinning, resulting in an
unexpected injury.
Ensure that there is no foreign material in the rotor before
operating the instrument.
●If any, its pieces may scatter during spinning, resulting in serious
injury.
Never attempt to touch the rotor while spinning
●Failure to do so may cause serious injury.
Do not use the instrument to centrifuge infectious samples.
●Failure to do so may cause a serious hazard to laboratory personnel.
The instrument is not a biohazard safety model. If there is the need of
handling any potentially infectious or radioactive samples, or other
hazardous materials, implement appropriate safety measures.
8

If excessive vibration occurs, load sample tubes into the rotor symmetrically
with respect to the pivotal axis of the rotor while balancing the volume of the
tubes by eye.
<Operation>
①Dispense samples into tubes.
※The sample volume should not exceed 70% of the maximum allowable
volume of the tube in use. Otherwise, the sample may spill during run.
※Always cap centrifuge tubes. Otherwise, the sample may spill during run.
②Load the sample tubes into the rotor.
Correct placement of tubes (Black circles indicate tube placement.)
③Close the lid
The rotor is spinning while the lid is closed. The centrifugal force generated
by the spinning rotor causes the main body of the centrifuge to vibrate.
Securely hold on the centrifuge by hand to prevent it from moving. Do not
place any weight on the lid and do not fix the lid with tape.
④Open the lid.
The rotor starts decelerating.
The operation ends when the rotor is completely stopped.
⑤Make sure that the rotor has come to a complete stop and remove the sample
tubes immediately from the centrifuge
※After operation, remove the sample tubes immediately from the centrifuge.
If the tubes are left inside the chamber after a run, the remaining heat of the
motor may cause the sample temperature to rise.
※Clean the rotor immediately if it is exposed to the sample.
