This documentation is applicable to all the versions of the product
which are supplied.
The tablet PC is designed solely foruse as a portable unit orfor
use with the optional docking station in mechanical and plant engi-
neering systems fornormal machine applications and industrial
use.

Charger/ mains adaptersocket
On the right side of the housing there is a socket underneath a flap
forconnecting the powersupply.
Only use the mains adaptersupplied with the product to charge the
product.
Operation
Plug the powersupply cable into the powersupply socket on the
product and then connect it to themains supply in orderto charge
it.
Note the information on the mains voltage on the type plate.
Switching on
The product is fitted with an on/off switch on the front. Press the
on/off switch fora few seconds tostart up the product.
Switching off
First shut down then switch off! The operating systemmust be shut
down first and then the product may be switched off. Otherwise the
systemmay be damaged in such a way as to prevent the product
fromstarting up again.
The product is not completely disconnected fromthe power
supply when the on/off button ormains switch is switched off!
Rights should be assigned in the control software in such a way
that users who are not allowed to close the software are also de-
nied permission to switch off the product. If the product is switched
off during a write operation, this file will be destroyed. Control soft-
ware usually executes write operations automatically every few
seconds, so damage can very easily be caused by switching off
while the software is running.
