1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 About this manual
This edition of the manual is valid for TTP 101 printers with serial number starting from
8506 and with firmware revision 1.17.
1.2 Updating
This manual will be updated as, from time to time, printer functions and features may be
added or amended. You will always find the latest edition on our web site

2 PRODUCT PRESENTATION
There are two versions of the TTP 101 printer:
•TTP 101 standard, for use with the Swecoin control board 00842-000 (SWC-842)
•TTP 101 T, for use with customer specific control board
The TTP 101 printer offers fast, reliable and quiet printing, paper separation and
presentation of documents produced by public access terminals in a wide range of
applications.
The printer is a thermal printer with a patented presenter mechanism that does not
present the document until the printing is completed. The document length is software
selectable.
The following two illustrations show the printer exterior:

The light shield fitted on older printers prevents light from passing through the document
presenter opening into the printer. The light could otherwise affect the operation of an
opto sensor mounted behind the opening.
An alternative way of connecting the paper-feed switch is through a printer control board
such as the one supplied by Swecoin. See Figure 3.

The figure shows the paper release lever in the position it has when the printhead is lifted
to release the paper.
The printer should be connected to the host through a control board. For optimum
mounting flexibility, the control board is a separate module. The board can be placed at a
distance of up to 0.35 m from the printer and connects to the printer by means of a ribbon
cable. The Swecoin SWC-842 control board, with integrated interface connectors, is
shown in Figure 3. An older version (SWC-642) with separate interface connectors is also
described in this manual, see Figure 4.
