INSTALLATION
1. General information
These instructions are intended for qualified contractors.
Note
Read these instructions carefully before using the appli-
ance and retain them for future reference.
Pass on the instructions to a new user if required.

2. Safety
2.1 Intended use
The appliance is intended for domestic use. It can be used safely
by untrained persons. The appliance can also be used in non-do-
mestic environments, e.g. in small businesses, as long as it is
used in the same way.
Any other use beyond that described shall be deemed inappro-
priate. Observation of these instructions and of the instructions
for any accessories used is also part of the correct use of this
appliance.
Only a qualified contractor should carry out installation, commis-
sioning, maintenance and repair of the appliance.
2.2 General safety instructions
We guarantee trouble-free function and operational reliability only
if original accessories and spare parts intended for the appliance
are used.
WARNING Burns
During operation, the tap can reach temperatures in
excess of 60 °C.
There is a risk of scalding at outlet temperatures in
excess of 43 °C.
!WARNING Injury
The appliance may be used by children aged 3 and up and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capa-
bilities or a lack of experience and know-how, provided
that they are supervised or they have been instructed on
how to use the appliance safely and have understood
the resulting risks. Children must never play with the
appliance. Children must never clean the appliance or
perform user maintenance unless they are supervised.

3. Appliance description
3.1 FFBWSetand FFBTSet
These sets enable the DHE programming unit to be installed inside
a casing and used as a wireless remote control. This allows for
convenient operation of the DHE Connect or DHE Touch, irrespec-
tive of the installation site.

3.2 FFBWPlusSetEUand FFBTPlusSetEU
These sets, which include a programming unit, enable the DHE
to be operated using the wireless remote control. This allows for
convenient operation of the DHE Connect or DHE Touch, irrespec-
tive of the installation site.
Dynamic anti-scalding protection
With dynamic anti-scalding protection, once the user selects a
temperature at the appliance programming unit / wireless remote
control, they then automatically have priority for setting the maxi-
mum temperatures. This priority is available for 2minutes or until
2minutes after the end of the current draw-off. After this, the
priority is automatically disabled.
Whilst the priority is enabled, the temperature can be reduced or
increased up to 43°C by other programming units.
3.3 Operation
For information on operating the appliance programming units,
the FFBWPlusSetEUand the FFBTPlusSetEU, see chapter
"Operation" in the related document.

4. Cleaning, care and maintenance
Never use abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents. A damp
cloth is sufficient for cleaning the appliance.
Have the electrical safety of the appliance regularly checked
by a qualified contractor.
5. Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting steps are described in the "Troubleshooting"
chapter of the related document.
6. Installation
6.1 FFB W Set and FFB T Set – removing
programming unit – fitting dummy cover
Remove the instantaneous water heater cover.

Disconnect the two plugs and remove the power cable from
the appliance. The power cable is no longer required.

Remove the programming unit from the appliance cover by
pressing the locking hooks and removing the programming
unit.

Fit the dummy cover by pushing it in on both sides until all 4
locking tabs click into place. When engaging the locking tabs,
apply counter-pressure by pushing against the appliance
cover from the inside.
WARNING Electrocution
All 4locking tabs on the dummy cover must click into
place. The locking tabs must be complete and undam-
aged. If the dummy cover is not inserted correctly, user
protection against contact with live components is not
guaranteed.
6.2 FFBWSet and FFBWPlusSetEU – installation
with cover frame

Guide the cables over the edge of the flush box.
Place the flush mounted power supply unit in the flush box.
Connect the flush mounted power supply unit to the cable
(terminals included with standard delivery).
Push all terminals into the flush box.

Remove any screws from the flush box.
Pull the connecting cable through the aperture in the square
mounting plate. Secure the mounting plate (with the word
"front" at the front) by tightening the appliance screws. Use
the suitable appliance screws provided.

Pull the connecting cable through the aperture in the cover
frame. Position the cover frame on the flush boxes.

Guide the connecting cable through the aperture in the wall
mounting enclosure.
Place the connecting cable in the groove of the wall mount-
ing enclosure.
Position the wall mounting enclosure with the octagonal
mounting plate on the cover frame.
Pull the connecting cable out of the flush box as far as the
edge of the wall mounting enclosure.
Secure the wall mounting enclosure with the mounting plate
and the 4 self-tapping countersunk screws provided. Secure
the countersunk screws evenly and not too tightly.

Ensure that the screws used do not damage the wiring.

To provide contact protection, fit the cover plate with the clip
rivets (cover plate and clip rivets are included in the standard
delivery).
T-Soll

Plug the flush mounted power supply unit into the "T-soll"
socket in the programming unit.
Push the programming unit into the wall mounting enclosure
until all 4 locking tabs have clicked fully into place.
With the FFBWSet, the appliance programming unit
is already paired. With the FFBWPlusSetEU, pair the
programming unit with the instantaneous water heater (see
related document DHEConnect| DHETouch operating and
installation instructions, chapter "New / Additional program-
ming unit learning").
6.3 FFBWSet and FFBWPlusSetEU – installation
without cover frame
You can also mount the set on a single flush box without a cover
frame.

Guide the cables over the edge of the flush box.
Place the flush mounted power supply unit in the flush box.
Connect the flush mounted power supply unit to the cable
(terminals included with standard delivery).

mounting enclosure.
Pull the connecting cable out of the flush box as far as the
edge of the wall mounting enclosure.
Place the connecting cable in the groove of the wall mount-
ing enclosure.
Secure the wall mounting enclosure with the octagonal
mounting plate and the 4 self-tapping countersunk screws
provided. Secure the countersunk screws evenly and not too
tightly.
