Manual for disinfection of the system
As for all living beings, water is the most elementary basis for germs and bacteria too.
Particularly in stagnant water you will often find optimal living conditions in which they
multiply very well. In order to thoroughly remove harmful microorganisms, disinfect your
system during a filter change ideally BEFORE inserting the new filter at least every 12
months.
Please read this manual carefully before you disinfect the system and subsequently put it
back into operation.
Disinfection
1. Activate Knick’n’clean® aqua (IAW package leaflet) and let it rest for 30 minutes.
2. Emptying the system and the internal water tank
Remove the water tank from the system and
Empty the remaining water.
Press and hold the MODE key and the
water outlet key simultaneously for 3 seconds.
As soon as the total water (approx. 1 liter) has flown
out of the device, please press the water outlet key
once. The internal tank is now empty.
3. Replacement of filter 1 and 2 via filter sleeves (in scope of supply) - filter 3 remains in the system

Knick’n’clean® aqua is the most effective disinfection system for small water filter plants and is ideal for
household, camping and boat. It consists of a plastic bag (approved in accordance with the drinking
water ordinance 2001) in which there are two liquids in separate compartments.

Now connect the system to the power grid.
ATTENTION! –Use the included power supply cable and do not operate the system with other standard
connection cables. Never connect or disconnect the power plug with wet hands!
Wait until the unit switches off.

it into the unit.
6. Emtying the system and the internal water tank
Remove the water tank from the machine and empty the
remaining disinfecting solution.

After the disinfection process it is necessary to rinse the system with cold tap water. For this purpose
please let 3 - 4 full water tanks flow through the system.
Safety instructions
On completion of the disinfecting operation it is advisable to rinse the filter sleeves repeatedly with cold
tap water, let dry and store securely for the recurring disinfecting process. Repeat the described
procedure periodically (at least every 12 months)

8. Reset filter indicator - Reset
After the filter change it is necessary to reset the filter indicator with the aid of the reset buttons (see
picture). Press and hold button ①②for 5 seconds, to reset filter 1 and 2, press and hold button ③for 5
seconds, to reset filter 3.
After filter change it is necessary to rinse the system with cold tap water. For this purpose please let 3 - 4
full water tanks flow through the system.
