TI Plus 2 Manual
Your device defaults to centigrade upon power up. To change your readout to Fahrenheit follow these
steps:
1. Press and release the MODE button one time to get the bottom readout into calendar mode.
2. Hold the MODE button for 2 seconds to get into the SET mode. The year will blink.
3. Press and release the SET button 4 times until the “C”for Centigrade blinks.
4. Press the up or down arrow to change from “C”to “F”for Fahrenheit.
5. Press and release the Mode button to complete.
INSTALLING BATTERIES
Two CR2032 Lithium batteries should be used in this unit. Use a coin to open the lid of the battery
compartment on the back of the unit. Turn to the direction of the Unlock icon to open. Please make
sure the positive post (+) of the two batteries face upward when the batteries are placed inside. Put the
lid back on the compartment and turn to the direction of the Lock Icon to close. Please make sure the
rubber ring is in position and the lid is closed firmly to make sure the unit is water resistant.
Note: If the Low Battery Power Icon is displayed, it is highly recommended to have the batteries
replaced as soon as possible.
TIMING FUNCTION
There are 4 modes in the Timing Function: Clock, Date, Alarm and Count-Down Timer. Pressing Mode
Button will switch from one mode to another sequentially.
TO SET THE CLOCK
1. Get to the Clock Mode by pressing the MODE Button.
2. Hold the MODE Button for 2 seconds.
3. Press the UP or DOWN Button to adjust the digit.
4. Press SET Button to advance to another digit and repeat procedure (3). You will be able to set
the Hour, Minute and 12/24 Hour format here.
5. When you are done with the setting, press the MODE Button to complete.
TO SET THE DATE / TEMPERATURE UNIT / DATE FORMAT
1. Get to the Date Mode by pressing MODE Button.
2. Hold the MODE Button for 2 seconds.
3. Press the UP or DOWN Button to adjust the digit.
4. Press the Set Button to advance to another digit and repeat procedure (3).
5. When you are done with the setting, press the MODE Button to complete.
TO SET THE ALARM
1. Get to the Alarm Mode by pressing MODE Button.
2. Hold the MODE Button for 2 seconds.
3. Press UP or DOWN Button to adjust the digit.
4. Press the SET Button to advance to another digit and repeat procedure (3).
5. When you are done with the setting, press the MODE Button to complete.
TO USE THE ALARM FUNCTION
1. Get to the Alarm Mode by pressing MODE Button.
2. Hold SET Button until you see the Alarm icon is on or off. If the Alarm Icon is on, the alarm
function is enabled, and vice versa.
3. If the alarm function is enabled, the clock alarm will be activated at the preset time. To stop the
alarm, press any key. The alarm will also automatically stop after 60 seconds if it is not
attended.
TO SET THE COUNT-DOWN TIMER
1. Get to the Count Down Timer Mode by pressing MODE Button.
2. Hold the MODE Button for 2 seconds.
3. Press UP or DOWN Button to adjust the digit.
4. Press the SET Button to advance to another digit and repeat procedure (3). The maximum time
interval you can set is 99min 59sec.
5. When you are done with the setting, press the MODE Button to complete.
TO USE THE COUNT-DOWN TIMER
1. Get to the Count Down Time Mode by pressing MODE Button.
2. Press SET Button to start or stop the timer.
3. When the Count Down Timer reaches 00:00, alarm will be activated. Pressing any button will
stop the alarm.
4. If you need to reset the timer to 00:00, stop the Timer and hold the SET Button.
USE OF THERMOMETER AND HYGROMETER
This unit will display the current temperature and relative humidity of the environment where it is used.
The measurement will be updated every 10 seconds to provide an up-to-date reading. You can also
check the maximum and minimum temperature reading according to the following procedure.
1. Press the UP Button. The (MAX) icon will be on and the displayed readings are maximum. Press
the DOWN Button. The (MIN) icon will be on and the displayed readings are minimum. The
readings will return to current readings after 10 seconds automatically.
2. To reset the memory, hold the UP Button when the maximum readings are displayed, and
DOWN Button when the minimum readings are displayed.
HEAT INDEX
This unit will display HEAT INDEX to provide feels like temperature which is how warm it is felt on skin by
considering the effect of humidity on the perspiration of human body beside the ambient temperature.
The feels like temperature is considered more important for people having outdoor activities, vigorous
exercise or elderly and people having health problems. When it is high, the risk of getting heat
exhaustion and heat stroke will become higher.
The displayed range for Heat Index is 26 degrees C –92 degrees C/ 80 degrees F –199 degrees F. If the
measurement is below the lower limit, the display will show (LO). If the measurement is higher than the
higher limit, the display will show (HI).
4- LEVEL HEAT STROKE ALERT
This unit is built with Heat Stroke Alert to show the risk of Heat Stroke suffering. There are 4 levels
depending on the risk associated to it.
1. Attention: Fatigue is possible with prolonged exposure and/or physical activity.
2. Caution: Sun stroke, heat cramps, or heat exhaustion is possible with prolonged exposure
and/or physical activity.
3. Risky: Sun stroke, heat cramps, or heat exhaustion is likely, and heat stroke is possible with
prolonged exposure and/or physical activity.
4. Hi Risk: Heat/Sun stroke is highly likely with continued exposure.
When the alert is at Risky or Hi Risk level, warning alarm will be activated to get the attention of the
user. To stop the alarm, just press any key of the unit. In some occasions, you may want to disable the
warning alarm function. This can be done by holding the UP button and DOWN button at the same time
for 3 seconds. Mute icon will be on display to indicate the warning alarm is turned off. To enable it
again, do the same procedure. The Mute icon will be off on the display.
NOTE: THIS UNIT ITS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE. THE HEAT STROKE ALERT SHOULD BE SEEN AS A
SUGGESTION AND REFERENCE ONLY AND SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR PROFESSIONAL OR MEDICAL
PURPOSE.
LCD BACKLIGHT AND LED LIGHT
To use the LCD backlight, press the backlight button. The backlight will be turned on for 4 seconds. To
use the LED light, press the LED light button. If you want to switch the light into a flashing light, press
the LED light button again. To turn off the LED light, press the LED light button when it is in flashing light
mode.
WATER RESISTANT
This unit is built with a water resistant body that repels water for a short period of time. This will
protect the unit from damage due to humid environment such as rainy weather and water splashing.
However, user should not use it under water or leave it directly under running water, as it is not
designed for being used in such ways.
KEY LOCK
You can lock the keys from being pressed accidentally. To do so, hold the backlight button for 3
seconds. The keylock icon will be displayed to indicate key lock function is on. To unlock, do the same
procedure.
NOTE ON THE CARABINER INSPIRED HOLDER
The carabiner inspired holder of this unit is not designed for climbing purposes. It cannot carry any
extra weight besides itself. Never attempt to use this unit for climbing.
USE OF WEATHER FORECAST
This unit is capable of providing weather forecast based on the humidity of the environment. Either one
of the 4 weather forecast results (sunny, slightly cloudy, cloudy or rainy) will be displayed according to
the predicted weather condition.
NOTE: USER IS REMINDED THAT THE FORECAST PROVIDED BY THIS UNIT IS ONLY A BRIEF PREDICTION
AND SUGGESTION. ACTUAL WEATHER CONDITION CAN BE VARIED AND DIFFERENT.

Xtreme Research Corp, SkyScan Division, PO Box 336, Port Richey, FL 36473-0336 will repair or replace
this product for one year from the original date of purchase absolutely free. This warranty does not
include any physical damage to the unit.
No other express warranty has been made or will be made with respect to the unit. Implied warranties,
including any warranties of merchantability or fitness are limited to one year from the date of original
purchase. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above
limitation may not apply to you.
SkyScan’s liability shall be limited to the cost of repair or replacement of the unit and SkyScan shall in no
event be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or
limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above imitation or exclusion may not apply to
you.
