sponge. Wipe dry.
4. Remove the drip tray and wash it in warm water with some dish detergent. Rinse
with clean water and wipe dry. Reinstall the tray.
We recommend rst burning in the grill by running it dry at full power for about 5

should not appear in later use. Allow the grill to cool down, then clean it as described
below under “Cleaning and Maintenance”.
Automatic Grill

socket. Make sure the grill is placed sufciently far away from heat-sensitive and
ammable materials, and follow the safety instructions.
2. Make sure the grill is closed and the drip tray is installed correctly.
3. Fully unroll the power cord. Lay the power cord so that it does not touch the grill,
which heats up during use, or other heat sources such as electric or gas stoves.

and closing the lid, to reduce warm-up time and thermal load on the grill
plates.
6. Once READY glows green, the grill is ready for use.
7. Open the top plate by the handle and place your ingredients on the grill plate.
Carefully close the top plate. For thick pieces such as steak, set the top plate
clearance to HIGH; for thin cuts, sandwiches, etc., set clearance to LOW.

light up.
9. Use +/– to select rarity: RARE, MEDIUM or WELL DONE. The selected

Open Grill
The grill can be used open, with both plates available as grilling surfaces. Proceed as
follows:
1. Place the grill on adry, clean, rm, heat-resistant surface. Use asurface large
enough to safely operate the open grill.
2. Grab the handle with one hand while pressing the open button on the right side

back until the handle comes to rest on the worktop. Then release the button.

Warning:
Do not handle the grill when it is switched on, hot or plugged in.
Warning:

after. To avoid potentially severe burns, do not touch the hot surface.
Cooking Tips
Marinating meat before grilling (e.g. in oil and herbs, yogurt, sour cream, etc.) will
reduce cooking time and improve tenderness. Do not salt the marinade. Salt absorbs
water from the meat, drying it out. The meat should be fully submerged in the mari-
nade, and ideally left there overnight.
The grill plates have anon-stick nish, minimizing the need for oil. If you wish to use oil
anyway, make sure it is suitable for grilling.
Poultry should only be eaten thoroughly cooked. You can check e.g. with acooking
thermometer.
Automatic Shutdown
If you take no action with the grill in 60 minutes, all indicators will ash once, three
chimes will sound, and the grill will automatically go to standby, with the on / off but-
ton ashing.
This is asafety feature to prevent damage to the grill from overheating.
Overheat Protection
If the temperature sensor returns an abnormally high reading, all indicators will ash
and achime will sound, before the grill turns off.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before any cleaning or maintenance, always switch off the appliance, unplug it from
the mains, and allow it to fully cool down.
Warning:
Do not immerse the appliance, power cord or plug in water or other liq-
uids.
