friendliness by minimizing waste and greenhouse gases in all Sharp factories. We are constantly improving conservation technologies and programs in the
packaging, transportation, use, recycling, and eventual safe disposal of our products.
ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS LCD TVs
Sharp takes their commitment to the environment one step further
with their Kameyama, Japan plant, an environmentally-friendly LCD TV
factory. Kameyama features one of the world’s largest roof mounted
solar electric systems. Waste heat is recovered for air conditioning,
with the co-generation system producing about one-third of the
electricity utilized in the plant. This keeps CO2emissions lower than
if the plant relied on thermally generated power. And all of the plant’s
production wastewater is recovered, purified and reused.
