instructions, and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.

1. SAFETY
1.1. BATTERY SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (BATTERY NOT INCLUDED)
WARNING! Battery contains Lithium-ion which is dangerous. Handle with care to avoid damage, re, corrosion or personal injury.
9Charge battery prior to its rst use. The battery will have been shipped in a low charge state. To reduce the risk of burns or re:
8DO NOT attempt to open, disassemble, modify or service the battery pack.
8DO NOT crush, puncture, short external contacts or dispose of in re or water.
8DO NOT expose to temperatures above 40°C (104°F).
9Replace only with the battery pack designated for this product.
9Use only the charging base provided to charge the tool.
9Remove the battery if the tool is not to be used for a period of time.
9Keep the battery terminals and grooves free from wood chips, sawdust or soil.
8DO NOT allow the battery to become fully discharged.
9Recharge the battery when you notice the tool has less power.
8DO NOT recharge a fully charged battery. Overcharging shortens the batteries service life.
9Charge the battery at a room temperature between 5ºC to 45ºC.
9Charge the battery if tool has not been used for 6 months.
8DO NOT attempt recharging the battery by means of an engine generator or a DC power source.
WARNING! Dispose of spent batteries correctly as they contain Lithium-ion. DANGER! DO NOT attempt to disassemble the
battery. For safety and environmental reasons DO NOT discard in domestic waste or by burning. ONLY discard or recycle according
to local authority regulations.
WARNING! DO NOT allow a leaking battery to contact your person.
1.2. GENERAL SAFETY
WARNING! Ensure that Health & Safety, local authority
and general workshop practice regulations are adhered to
when using this equipment.
9Familiarise yourself with the applications, limitations and
potential hazards peculiar to the tool.
WARNING! Disconnect the battery before changing
accessories, servicing or performing any maintenance.
9Maintain the tool in good condition (use an authorised
service agent).
9Replace or repair damaged parts. Use genuine parts only.
Unauthorised parts may be dangerous and will invalidate
the warranty.
9Keep the work area clean, uncluttered and ensure that
there is adequate lighting.
9Keep the tool clean for best and safest performance.
9Maintain correct balance and footing. Ensure the oor is
not slippery and wear non-slip shoes.
9Remove ill tting clothing. Remove ties, watches, rings and
other loose jewellery and contain, and/or tie back, long hair.
9Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the
work area.
9DO NOT use the tool for any purpose other than that for
which it is designed.
8DO NOT operate the tool if any parts are damaged or
missing.
8DO NOT get the tool wet or use in damp or wet locations or
areas where there is condensation.
8DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the tool.
8DO NOT operate tool when you are tired or under the
inuence of alcohol, drugs or intoxicating medication.

2. INTRODUCTION
Adjustable telescopic pole for Model No’s CP20VPSH Saw Head or CP20VPHT Hedge Trimmer Head. Lightweight and adjustable for easy
use with either choice of attachment. With adjustable clip waist fastener for added security.
3. SPECIFICATION

4. OPERATION
IMPORTANT WARRANTY INFORMATION: the battery pack fitted to this cordless tool are considered to be a consumable item and
its ability to accept charge will reduce over time. We will provide warranty against mechanical and electrical defect for a period of
one year - this does not cover fair wear and tear. If the battery is not properly charged before first use, or regularly conditioned, its
capacity will diminish. Under these circumstances we will not replace the battery pack even if it is less than one year old.
4.1. BATTERY INSTALLATION
4.1.1. Hold the tool firmly and align the tongue on the battery cartridge with the groove in the housing and slide into place (fig 1).
4.1.2. Fully push the battery cartridge until it locks into place with an audible click.
4.2. BATTERY REMOVAL
4.2.1. Hold the tool firmly and press the battery release button, then slide and remove the battery cartridge (fig 1).
4.3. BATTERY POWER INDICATOR
4.3.1. Press the check button (g 2), on the battery cartridge.
4.3.2. The indicator lights (g 2), will illuminate to indicate remaining capacity (g 3).
4.4. STARTING / STOPPING THE TOOL
4.4.1. To start the tool, press the lock button (g 4) in and pull the trigger switch (g 4) upwards, towards the handle.
4.4.2. To stop the tool, release the trigger switch (g 4).
WARNING! Before attaching the battery cartridge to the tool, rstly check that the trigger switch returns to the OFF position when
released.
WARNING! DO NOT use the tool if it can be started without pressing the lock button. Return the tool to an authorised Sealey
service centre for repair.
8DO NOT try and override the lock button by locking it down with tape or similar.
5. PROTECTION SYSTEM
The tool is equipped with a tool/battery protection system. This system automatically cuts o the power to the motor to extend the
tool and battery life. The tool will automatically stop during it’s operation if the tool or battery is subjected to one of the following:
5.1. OVERLOAD PROTECTION
5.1.1. If the battery draws an abnormally high current, the tool will automatically stop, without and indication.
5.1.2. Stop the operation that has caused the battery to become overloaded.
5.1.3. Restart the tool.
5.2. OVERHEAT PROTECTION
5.2.1. If the tool or battery becomes overheated, the tool will automatically stop.
5.2.2. Allow the battery or tool to fully cool down.
5.2.3. Restart the tool.
5.3. OVER DISCHARGE PROTECTION
5.3.1. When the battery capacity becomes low the tool will automatically stop.
5.3.2. Remove the battery cartridge from the tool.
5.3.3. Recharge the battery cartridge.

6. TELESCOPIC POLE
6.1. ADJUSTING THE TELESCOPIC HEIGHT
WARNING! Prior to adjusting the telescopic height, switch o the tool and remove the battery cartridge.
6.1.1. Loosen the joint nut (g 5) by turning it clockwise.
6.1.2. Extend the pole to the required length (g 6).
6.1.3. Re-tighten the joint nut (g 7) by turning counter clockwise.
NOTE: the telescopic pole can be extended from 2.1m to 2.6m.
WARNING! Ensure the joint nut is securely tightened to avoid any slippage.
7. ATTACHMENT TO POLE
7.1. ATTACHMENT OF TOOL HEAD TO THE TELESCOPIC POLE
WARNING! Before tting tool head to pole switch o and remove the battery.
7.1.1. Turn the attachment locking nut (g.10) at the end of the telescopic pole so
that the tool head can be inserted. Push the head home (g.11) making sure
the electrical contacts at the end of both components are aligned correctly
(telescopic pole contact (g.8), tool head contact (g.9)).
7.1.2. Tighten the attachment locking nut to secure both components together (g.10).
7.1.3. To separate again reverse sections 7.1.1 and 7.1.2
8. SHOULDER HARNESS
8.1. Securely fasten the buckle (g.12) and hook the harness clasp onto the telescopic poles hook xing bracket (g.13).
8.1.1. Place the harness over your right shoulder only (g.14).
9. MAINTENANCE
9.1. CLEANING
9.1.1. Use a clean cloth to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease etc.
8DO NOT use solvents.

ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories and packaging should be sorted, taken to
a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with the environment. When the product becomes completely
unserviceable and requires disposal, drain any fluids (if applicable) into approved containers and dispose of the product and fluids
according to local regulations.

Under the Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009, Jack Sealey Ltd are required to inform potential purchasers of products
containing batteries (as defined within these regulations), that they are registered with Valpak’s registered compliance scheme. Jack
Sealey Ltd’s Batteries Producer Registration Number (BPRN) is BPRN00705.

notice.
Important: No Liability is accepted for incorrect use of this product.
Warranty: Guarantee is 12 months from purchase date, proof of which is required for any claim.
