FOR ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING PROPER FITTING OR USE
OF SCOTT BOOTS, WE RECOMMEND CONSULTING YOUR
AUTHORIZED SCOTT RETAILER.
IMPORTANT FEATURE: ALL OF SCOTT’S ALPINE BOOTS’
COMPONENTS-BUCKLES, CUFFS, AND POWER STRAPS—CAN
BE EASILY REPLACED WITH A HEX KEY OR SCREWDRIVER. NO
SPECIAL TOOLS ARE REQUIRED.
BOOT ENTRY/EXIT
According to the shape of your foot, you will probably have a prefe-
rence between one of two ways to enter/exit SCOTT Alpine boots.
›
G1 130 & 110 POWERFIT WTR
: FOR BOOT ENTRY WITH THE
LINER ON YOUR FOOT, be sure that the shell buckles are all
unbuckled, put the liner on and, toe first, step into the shell, pulling
up on the rear loop of the liner to eliminate wrinkles as you step
down with your heel. Pull up on the rear loop as you seat your heel
into the heel pocket of the shell and liner.
›
TO PUT ON ALL SCOTT BOOTS WITH THE LINER IN THE SHELL,
first be sure that the buckles are all open and the tongue is
forward, out of the way. Step into the boot, toe first, pulling up
gently on the rear loop of the liner as you step into the boot. Pull

up on the rear loop as you seat your heel into the heel pocket of
the shell and liner.
BUCKLE ADJUSTMENT
SCOTT BUCKLES have a threaded micro adjustment as well as the
larger adjustment of its toothed buckle “catches”.
›
TO ADJUST THE LOWER SHELL BUCKLES, first be sure that the
foot is all of the way back in the boot, the heel securely in the heel
pocket. Choose a tooth that snugs the boot snugly but comfor-
tably around the foot. Turn the buckle’s metal rectangle clockwise
(tighten) or counter-clockwise (loosen) for fine adjustment.
›
CUFF ADJUSTMENT: Choose a tooth that snugs the cu comfor-
tably around the leg and buckle the cu buckles. Turn the buckles’
metal rectangle clockwise (tighten) or counter-clockwise (loosen)
for fine adjustment. Then tighten the Velcro® power strap. Flex
your leg back and forth a few times to see if the buckles or Velcro®
strap need further adjustment.
›
MOVING THE BUCKLE CATCHES: Skiers with very thin lower legs
who are at the minimum limit of SCOTT BOOTS’ cu diameter may
want to move the buckle catches inward for a smaller lower leg
fit. You can move the toothed “catch” 15mm inward, a fit that is
approximately two teeth tighter. Moving the catches requires dril-
ling two 5mm holes at their molded marks.
First, remove the buckle catches using a small Phillips-head
screwdriver to remove the screws from each T-nut. Be sure to save
MANUAL_FREESKI PERFORMANCE G1.indd 7 4/17/14 2:41 PM

the T-nuts and screws for re-locating the catches. Locate the two
molded, indented marks on the INSIDE of the cu strap. (These
two marks should be the same distance apart as the existing holes,
shifted 15mm inward from the standard position.) Carefully drill two
new 5mm holes in the center of these molded reference marks. Re-
place the T-nuts and mount the buckle catch in its tighter position.
Repeat the process for each cu strap, totaling 4 for both boots.
If the additional length of exposed cu strap stops against the
buckle lever, preventing tighter adjustment, the cu straps can
be shortened. They are marked for shortening on the INSIDE of
the strap, near the outer-most hole Carefully shorten straps to the
marks using a Dremel tool.
›
THE PWR Liner
TONGUE CAN BE ADJUSTED FORWARD AND
BACK for the most precise instep fit. NOTE THAT THERE ARE
RIGHT AND LEFT TONGUES, SO IT’S BEST TO REMOVE AND
ADJUST THEM ONE AT A TIME TO PREVENT CONFUSION. Each
tongue is attached with Velcro®. Detach the tongue from the liner
at its Velcro® attachment and position it forward or back accor-
ding to your fit preference. There are 3 reference marks stamped
on the tongue for easy reference and accuracy.
› The G1 PWR FIT WTR Liner`s has a spoiler that is Velcro®-
adjustable for dierent leg shapes. To adjust the spoiler, first take
note of its position on the liner via the molded reference marks
on the side of the spoiler. When you have determined which di-
rection you want to move the spoiler, remove it from its Velcro®
MANUAL_FREESKI PERFORMANCE G1.indd 8 4/17/14 2:41 PM

attachment. Referring to the marks molded on the side of the
spoiler, position it as desired, using the corresponding horizontal
line molded on the inner boot for reference. For easy centering of
the spoiler there is also a reference line molded on the top of the
spoiler that corresponds to a vertical centerline mark molded on
the inner boot.
›
Included in the box are optional laces for those who prefer a la-
ceup liner. Laces are especially eective to snug the liner around
thinner ankles and lower legs. The liners have low-profile lace
loops along their front opening. Lace up the liners as you would
an athletic shoe. If you choose to use laces, you will need to put
the boots on with the liners on your foot.

SOLE REPLACEMENT: G1 130 POWERFIT WTR
The G1 130 & 110 POWERFIT WTR have replaceable bi-injected
WTR soles and a choice of either replaceable bi-injected ISO Alpine
Norm soles. (Sold separately)
IMPORTANT NOTE: IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO USE A HAND
PHILLIPS-HEAD SCREWDRIVER. DO NOT USE A POWER DRIVER
OR ANY KIND OF HIGH-LEVERAGE TOOL. POWER DRIVERS CAN
CREATE TOO MUCH HEAT FOR THE PLASTICS, AND IT IS CRITI-
CAL NOT TO TIGHTEN THE SCREWS WITH EXCESSIVE TORQUE.
›
To replace the soles, first remove each of the screws (6 for the toe,
7 for the heel) with your Phillips screwdriver, and set them aside.
Remove the existing sole and replace it with the new sole, mat-
ching up the screw holes. The soles do not have a right and left.
With the proper sole in place on the boot, replace BY HAND each
of the screws ONLY UNTIL THEY ARE SNUG. DO NOT OVERTI-
GHTEN THE SCREWS-TIGHTEN ONLY UNTIL SNUG.
