Fittings Set, No. 1051

This set is required in order to produce a boat of scale appearan-

ce. It makes good sense to obtain the set before you start building

the model.

Sequence of assembly

In general terms the numbering of the parts reflects the sequence

of assembly.

Please read through the instructions before you start building the

model, referring to the parts lists, the illustrations and the plan, so

that you have a clear idea of how to tackle each stage.

In the appendix to these instructions on pages 23 - 26 you will

find overall drawings showing the machine-cut parts, drawings of

the individual glazing panels, and a wiring diagram for the auxili-

ary working systems.

Vacuum-moulded parts

Sand the raw edges of the vacuum-moulded parts smooth after

cutting away the scrap material.

Drill holes in the vacuum-moulded components at the marked

points, using the sizes of drill stated in the illustrations.

Machine-cut parts

Don’t separate these parts from their support sheets until you need

them for the stage in hand.

The identification drawings are intended to help you locate indivi-

dual parts. We suggest that you write the part number on each

component.

The machine-cutting process leaves rounded internal corners

which should be trimmed square using a balsa knife or a sharp tri-

angular file.

Ensure that the machine-cut parts fit together snugly; they

should not be so tight that they cause distortion.

When gluing parts together, ensure that punched points are left

exposed, and are still accessible for drilling.

All surfaces which are to be joined must be sanded beforehand to

ensure that the glue adheres well.

Use only the stated and recommended adhesives.

Read and observe the instructions supplied with the various adhe-

sives.

Before gluing any parts together check “dry” (no glue) that they are

an accurate fit.

Note that Stabilit-Express should never be applied in the form of

thick fillets; always spread the adhesive out thinly.

All glued joints involving holes in the hull, i.e. where water could

penetrate (e.g. the rudder bush, stern tube, etc.) should be sealed

all-round with a thin fillet of Stabilit-Express.

Parts should be held together using clamps or adhesive tape while

glued joints are drying.

Small quantities of cyano-acrylate (Speed Extra, Speed Type 2) can

be applied on the tip of a pin or a length of thin wire.

When soldering railing components and similar parts together, use

a hot iron and complete each joint quickly, as excessive heat can

easily damage the plastic (superstructure, platforms etc.).

Alternatively you may wish to make up a simple jig for shaping and

soldering the individual railing sections before they are installed on

the model.

Clean up all soldered joints carefully. The metal parts should be

prepared thoroughly prior to painting by rubbing them down with

fine abrasive paper and removing all traces of grease.

Fit a separate heat-shrink sleeve over each soldered joint between

electrical components.

Directions such as “left” and “right” are as seen from the stern of

the model, looking forward.

All dimensions in the text and the illustrations are stated in mm.

Painting the model

Any gaps between the plastic parts can be made good using a pla-

stic filler paste such as robbe rostuff-micro. Sand the filler back

flush when it has set hard.

Parts to be painted must be cleaned thoroughly beforehand by

wiping them with methylated spirit or similar (not cellulose thinners).

Try not to touch the surfaces at all between cleaning and painting.

Before applying the colour finish to the hull we recommend that you

give it a coat of primer and rub it down to obtain a smooth surface.

If you wish to obtain a clean, neatly delineated colour scheme, you

must paint the model’s components in a particular sequence:

Each part which is to be a different colour should first be trimmed

to fit accurately on the boat, then painted, and finally screwed or

glued to the model once the paint is dry.

If any part is to be painted in multiple colours, mask the areas out

using Tesafilm (clear cellulose tape) or PVC tape - don’t use paper

masking tape. The tape should be peeled off carefully as soon as

the paint is touch-dry.

Where painted parts have to be glued to the model, sand the finis-

hed surface beforehand to provide a mechanical “key” for the

adhesive.

At some junctures it makes sense to paint assemblies before con-

tinuing with construction; the instructions tell you when this is

necessary. Otherwise it is left up to you when to paint the boat.

For this model we recommend the use of acrylic or synthetic ena-

mel paints only. You can use brushing types or spray cans accor-

ding to your personal preference.

We suggest that you emulate the colour scheme shown in the kit

box illustration.

Radio control equipment

We recommend that you install the listed RC components, which

are shown in the photos. If you wish to use your own choice of

components you can still follow the basic arrangement shown, but

you may have to make allowance for minor differences in compo-

nent size.

Before installing the RC system in the boat, connect the compo-

nents, set the transmitter sticks and trims to centre, and switch the

system on: this will cause all the servos to run to their true centre.

Electrical connections inside the hull must be positioned and pro-

tected in such a way that they cannot come into contact with water.

Auxiliary working systems

The boat has plenty of space to accommodate a wide range of sup-

plementary working systems. For example, the model can be fitted

with a lighting system, rotating radar antenna, siren, simulated die-

sel engine noise and horn.

Stage 1, the power system

- Drill the 4 mm Ø holes in the hull for the stern tube and the rud-

der bush.

- Temporarily stick the boatstand “B” to the underside of the hull

using strips of double-sided tape “DP” as shown. This stiffens

the hull for the following procedures, and avoids distorting the

moulding. Check that the hull is central in the stand before you

continue.

- Attach the suppressor capacitors 1.3 and 1.4 to the terminals of

the electric motor 1.2. Solder the power cables 1.6 to the termi-

nals at the same time, noting that the red wire must be soldered

to the motor terminal marked with a red dot.

- Solder the AMP plug contacts 1.7 to the motor wires, and push

the insulator 1.8 over the contacts; note that the red wire should

coincide with the integral lug.

- Fix the motor to the motor bulkhead 1.11 using the screws 1.9

and the washers 1.10.

- Lightly sand the joint area of the stern tube 1.12. Press the 2 Ø x

4.5 Ø x 5 mm bushes into both ends of the tube.

- Connect the propeller shaft 1.13 to the motor using the coupling

(parts 1.14 to 1.17), then slip the stern tube over the shaft.

- The M2 locknut 1.18 should not be fitted until the power system

has been installed in the hull.

- Place the motor assembly and the base plate 1.19 in the hull,

engaging the tabs of the motor bulkhead in the slots in the plate.

The bulkhead must be an easy fit in the slots in the base plate

1.19 to allow adjustment; it should not be too tight.

- Insert the support former 1.20 and glue it to the base plate only.

- Slide the base plate towards the stern as far as it will go, then

glue the plate in the hull using cyano.

- Adjust the position of the motor bulkhead so that the motor lines

up exactly with the propeller shaft. Check the shaft alignment

with a straight piece of scrap material from one of the machine-

cut sheets. Glue the motor bulkhead to the base plate using

cyano.

- Turn the model over, and screw the locknut 1.18 onto the pro-

peller shaft 1.13 as far as the end of the threaded shank.

- The stern tube 1.12 should project out of the shaft fairing by 8

mm. If you need to make corrections, loosen the grubscrews

1.17 and adjust the position of the propeller shaft and the stern

tube.

- Glue the stern tube in the shaft fairing using Stabilit-Express,

taking care to produce a watertight joint: rotate the tube after

applying the adhesive, as this distributes the Stabilit-Express

effectively.

- Glue the base plate and the motor bulkhead to the hull.

- Glue the support former 1.20 to the hull.

- Remove the boatstand from the hull again.

- Assemble the servo mount from parts 2.1 to 2.3, and glue the

joints.

- Temporarily fix the completed servo mount to the base plate

using the self-tapping screws 2.4.

- Lay the rudder blade 2.5 on strips of 1 mm thick wood. Slip the

rudder shaft 2.6 into the rudder, and align the parts carefully as

shown.

Solder the rudder blade to the rudder shaft; note the correct

position of the machined flat “N”.

- Fit the washer 2.7, the O-ring 2.8 and the rudder bush 2.9 on the

rudder shaft. Insert this assembly in the hole in the hull, align the

parts and tack the rudder bush to the hull using cyano.

- Apply thin fillets of Stabilit-Express round the rudder bush where

it passes through the hull and the base plate.

- Remove the rudder and the propeller shaft again. Pack the stern

tube with grease and re-insert the shaft. The rudder shaft should

also be greased lightly before final installation.

- Fit the second washer 2.7 on the top end of the rudder shaft.

- Press the tiller assembly (2.10 to 2.12) on the top end of the rud-

der shaft. Push the rudder upward lightly from the underside,

then tighten the screw 2.12 onto the machined flat to secure the

tiller.

- Set the rudder servo 2.13 to centre from the transmitter. Cut

down the servo output lever 2.14 as shown, drill out the linkage

hole to 2 mm Ø, and fit it on the servo output shaft.

- Place the rudder servo in the servo mount and secure it with the

retaining screws. The servo mount can now be attached perma-

nently to the base plate.

- Assemble the rudder pushrod from the threaded brass rod 2.15

and parts 2.16 to 2.18. Connect the pushrod to the servo output

arm and the tiller.

Stage 3, the deck and coaming

- Cut out the main deck all round, and remove the flange under the

hatch opening.

- Open up the large deck opening, leaving only the coaming in

place - see arrow.

- Sand all the cut edges of the main deck 3.1 smooth.

- Trim the hatch 3.3 to fit neatly, but do not glue it to the deck.

- Position the hatch locating frame 3.2 centrally under the deck

opening, and glue it in place; see Section A-A.

- Place the main deck in the recess which runs all round the hull,

and trim it to fit accurately. Tape the deck in place and check ali-

gnment. When you are satisfied, tack it to the hull with drops of

cyano, then run more cyano all round the recess to produce a

waterproof joint.

- Sand the hull flange flat at the stern, flush with the deck.

3.4 Bulwark, vac. 1

- Cut out the bulwark 3.4 and sand the raw edges smooth.

Refer to cross-section T-T.

1: Trim the outer flange.

- Trim the bulwark 3.4 to fit accurately, and tape it to the hull. It is

important that this part lines up accurately with the hull at the

point of the bow. Glue the bulwark 3.4 in place using cyano.

- The anchor hawses (chain openings) and scuppers (drain holes)

can either be cut out or simulated using decals.

It is a good idea to apply the decals to the bulwark before drilling

and filing out the openings, as they then act as templates. The

correct positions are shown on the full-size plan.

- The next step is to mark the waterline (CWL) on the hull; it is

shown in the drawing on the overall plan.

- Paint the whole hull, then mark the waterline before painting the

underwater hull.

- Please note the following when assembling the superstructure:

The part numbers reflect the sequence of assembly.

It is important to clean up all the slots in the machine-cut parts

to ensure that they fit together snugly, but not tightly.

- Glue the doublers 4.3 to the inside of the side walls 4.4 and 4.7.

Ensure that the angled top edges line up neatly - see arrows.

Take care not to mix up the side walls.

We recommend that you start by assembling the parts in groups

“dry” (no glue), align everything perfectly “square”, and tape the

parts together. When you are satisfied, run glue along the joints.

4.12 Superstructure front section, vac. 1

Note: you can either apply the windows in the form of decals, or

use the decals as templates for cutting out the window openings

proper.

- If you wish to cut out the window openings you should first sepa-

rate the window masks from the decal sheet and apply them to

the moulding using the stated dimensions as a guide. Ensure that

the bottom line of the openings is at a constant height.

- Cut out the window openings using the decals as a guide.

- Cut away the roof of the vacuum-moulded superstructure sec-

tion 4.12.

- Clean up the cut edges of the superstructure.

- Cut out the equipment cabinet 4.13 as shown. The cabinet is

trimmed to final size before it is glued to the superstructure sec-

tion 4.12 (see later).

- Place the front section of the superstructure 4.12 against the

main superstructure assembly. Trim the cut edges if necessary,

then glue the two parts together.

- Apply tape to the deck where the equipment cabinet 4.13 is to fit.

- Place the superstructure on the hull, and trim the equipment

cabinet to fit snugly against the superstructure and the deck.

- Position the equipment cabinet carefully, and tack it to the super-

structure only.

- Remove the superstructure and run cyano along the joints bet-

ween cabinet and superstructure.

- Glue the doors 4.14 to the side walls.

- Trial-fit the funnel components 4.15 to 4.17 against the side

walls, position them carefully and glue them in place.

- Glue the inner funnel side walls 4.18 to the funnels.

- Bevel the angled covers 4.19 as shown, trim them to fit and glue

them in place.

- Sand the superstructure overall, make good any gaps with filler

paste, then sand back smooth, ready for painting.

Attach the following parts to the mast 5.1:

- The loudspeaker bearer 5.2, radar bearer 5.3, spreader 5.4 and

lamp bearer 5.5.

- Cut the lamp housings 5.6 to 5.8 to size (see drawing), fit bulbs

in them and attach the lamps to the bearers. Run the wires down

the mast.

- Assemble the deck floodlights 5.9. Install one floodlight on the

mast, the second on the rear mast cover 5.10.

- Glue the mast bases 5.11 inside the moulding.

- Glue the rear mast cover 5.10 in place, running the deck flood-

light wires down inside the assembly.

- Glue the loudhailers 5.12 and the plinths 5.13 in place.

- Slip the aerial mast 5.14 through the masthead 5.15, fit the aeri-

al base 5.16 and glue the parts together.

- Drill 1 mm Ø holes in the aerial base. Assemble the aerials from

the split pins 5.17 and the brass rod 5.18. Cut the split pins to

length and solder them in place. Glue the prepared masthead

assembly to the mast.

- Cut the radar shaft 5.19 to length and glue it in the radar anten-

na 5.20. Assemble the parts of the radar unit 5.19 to 5.21.

- Attach this assembly to the radar bearer 5.3, taking care not to

allow glue to get onto the shaft.

Stage 6, the external superstructure components

- Cut out the control stand glazing 6.1 along the marked lines, and

sand the cut edges smooth.

- Trim the parts of the control stand 6.2 to 6.6 to fit together, and

glue the joints. Take care to keep the parts at the correct angle

to each other.

- Glue the top section 6.7 and the bottom section 6.8 of the infla-

table boat together, then glue the bottom in the boat.

- Glue the transom 6.10 and the assembled outboard motor 6.11

to the inflatable boat.

- Glue the completed inflatable boat to the boat supports 6.12.

Stage 7, completing the superstructure

- Trim the prepared control stand 6.2 to 6.6 to fit, and glue it to the

superstructure as shown.

- The superstructure should be painted overall at this point.

- Cut the glazing panels 7.1 to 7.6 to size in turn, referring to the

full-size drawing, and glue them to the inside of the superstruc-

ture using Pattex.

- Cut the handrails 7.7 to 7.9 to the stated lengths.

- Thread the railing stanchions 7.10 onto the rails.

- Insert the right and left railings, position the parts carefully, and

solder the rails to the stanchions. Caution: use a hot soldering

iron and complete each joint as quickly as possible, as excessi-

ve heat could damage the plastic and the painted surfaces.

- Paint the railing assemblies before gluing them permanently to

the deck.

- Glue the foghorns in place as shown.

- Install the ventilators 7.12 and the exhaust pipes 7.13.

- Place the mast assembly on the superstructure; the shaft 5.19

dictates the exact position.

- Glue the inflatable boat centrally to the rear base plate 4.8.

- Carefully invert the superstructure, without allowing the mast to

move. Mark two points on the underside of the mast through the

holes in the front base plate 4.1.

- Drill 1.5 mm Ø holes in the mast at the marked points, and secu-

re it using the self-tapping screws 7.14. The lamp wires should

be routed inside the superstructure at the same time.

If you wish to set up a rotating radar antenna, follow this proce-

dure:

- Attach the components of the suppressor set 8.2 to the miniatu-

re geared motor 8.1, and solder the power leads 8.3 to the motor

terminals at the same time. Refer to the instructions supplied

with the motor before you carry out this procedure.

- Screw the motor plate 8.4 to the geared motor.

- Assemble the coupling housing from parts 8.5 to 8.8, and glue

the joints using cyano.

- Push the coupling sleeve 8.9 onto the shaft of the geared motor.

- Fix the motor to the housing using the two self-tapping screws

8.10.

- Install this assembly, engage the radar shaft 5.19 in the coupling

sleeve, and glue the housing in the superstructure; glue the radar

shaft 5.19 in the coupling sleeve 8.9 at the same time.

- Glue the transverse wall 8.11 in place as shown.

- Screw the auxiliary function switches 8.12 to the switch plate 4.6.

- Bend the switch pushrod 8.13 to shape and connect it to the

switch toggle. Bend both ends of the pushrod at right-angles as

shown.

- The radar motor should not be connected until the receiving

system has been installed.

Stage 9, final work on the superstructure

- Glue the lifebelts 9.1 to the superstructure and the railing, as

shown in the full-size drawing.

- Fit bulbs in the navigation lamps 9.2 and 9.3 and glue them in the

superstructure. Route the wires down and into the superstructu-

re.

- Attach the flag 9.4 to the flagstock 9.5. Glue the flagstock to the

base 9.6, and glue this assembly to the front base plate 4.1.

Stage 10, the anchor winch and crane, final work on the deck

- Cut the anchor winch shaft 10.1 to the stated length.

- Assemble the anchor winch from parts 10.1 to 10.6.

- Glue the pivot tube 10.7 in the outrigger 10.8, and slide the crane

- Trim the side cover 10.10 to fit accurately, and glue it to the

outrigger.

- Attach the cable pulley 10.11 using the screw 10.12 and the nut

10.13.

- Tie the crane hook 10.14 to the crane cable 10.15 (sewing

thread). Fix the cable to the cable pulley 10.11 with a drop of

glue.

- The following section describes the method of operating the

model using a two-channel radio control system. The auxiliary

working systems can be operated manually using a pair of swit-

ches installed in the superstructure.

- We suggest that you use Velcro (hook-and-loop) tape or Velcro

straps (“S” in the drawing) to hold the individual components in

place in the hull.

- Install the receiver 11.1 and the speed controller 11.2. Place the

batteries 11.3 inside the hull and secure them.

- Complete the wiring and the electrical connections as shown in

the wiring diagram.

- Screw the propeller 11.4 onto the propeller shaft and lock it

against the locknut 1.18.

- The next step is to deploy the receiver aerial, referring to the

wiring diagram on page 23: cut 20 cm from the end of the flexible

aerial attached to the receiver, and solder the aerial connectors

- Route the receiver aerial up into the superstructure.

- The method of connecting and wiring the auxiliary working

systems is shown on page 23. The mast lighting system forms

one power circuit, while the radar unit and the two searchlights

form the second.

- The two switches 8.12 are used to turn the auxiliary working

systems on and off.

- The model is completed by applying the decals.

Checking the working systems, trimming the boat

- Place the completed model in the boatstand. Set the transmitter

sticks and trims to centre (neutral), and make sure that the thrott-

le stick is at the “Motor stopped” position.

Switch the transmitter on, place the drive batteries in the hull,

connect the speed controller, and secure these items.

- The rudder should now be in the “straight ahead” position. Adjust

the rudder linkage if necessary.

- Check the right / left function: if the system works the wrong way

round, operate the appropriate servo reverse facility at your

transmitter.

- Check the motor run function: when you advance the throttle

stick, the motor should rotate in the direction indicated by the

arrow. If the propeller spins in the wrong direction, swap over the

wires between the motor and the speed controller; this is only

likely to be necessary if you are using components other than

those specifically recommended.

- Caution when test-running the motor: do not run it for more

than a few seconds “dry” (out of the water), and do not run it at

high speed.

- Disconnect the battery from the speed controller, and only then

switch the transmitter off.

- Caution: ensure that the propeller is free to rotate whenever you

are working on the boat with the drive battery connected. Keep

your hands well away from the rotational plane of the propeller -

injury hazard.

Check all the installed auxiliary working systems.

Prepare the boat ready to run, and place it in the bath, preferably

half-full of water.

If you have installed the recommended robbe components, the

boat will automatically float exactly at the construction waterline

(CWL). Check all round: the boat should float exactly level (i.e. it

must not list). If necessary, shift the batteries forward or aft to trim

the model in the pitching plane, and move the RC components to

either side to correct any list.

If you opt to use different RC components you will need to adjust

the boat’s trim.

Your model boat is now ready for its maiden run, as soon as you

have charged all the batteries.

Ce kit est indispensable pour la réalisation d’une maquette de

bateau. Il est recommandé d’acquérir le kit d’accastillage avant de

commencer à construire le bateau.

Consigne générales concernant le déroulement de la construc-

tion et la notice de montage.

La numérotation des pièces correspond en règle générale à leur

ordre d’intervention dans le montage.

Avant d'entreprendre la construction du modèle, lire les textes de

la notice au regard des illustrations et des listes de pièces et du

plan d’ensemble, afin de vous forger une vue d'ensemble des dif-

férentes étapes de la construction.

En annexe à cette notice (pages 23 à 30) sont imprimés les sché-

mas d’ensemble des pièces fraisées et les schémas individuels

des éléments de vitrage coudé et le schéma électrique des fon-

ctions spéciales.

Éléments emboutis

Après avoir découpé les éléments emboutis, en poncer les arêtes

avec du papier-émeri.

Effectuer les percements dans les éléments emboutis en fonction

des repères et des cotes indiquées sur les illustrations.

Éléments fraisés

Ne détacher les pièces de leur support que lorsqu'elles intervien-

nent dans le stade de montage en cours.

Les schémas d'identification facilitent le repérage des éléments.

Reporter la numérotation des pièces sur les pièces elles-mêmes.

Pour détacher les éléments fraisés, retirer les rayons avec un cou-

teau à balsa bien aiguisé ou une lime à clé triangulaire.

Les éléments fraisés doivent s’ajuster mutuellement avec une cer-

taine aisance, sans coincer.

Avant de coller les pièces individuelles veiller à ce que les marques

de poinçonnage demeurent visibles afin de pouvoir effectuer les

percements ultérieurs.

Poncer tous les points de collage avec du papier de verre fin avant

d'appliquer la colle.

N'utiliser que les produits adhésifs que nous recommandons.

Observer le mode d'emploi des produits fourni par les fabricants.

Ajuster d’abord tous les éléments “à sec” avant de les coller défi-

nitivement.

Appliquer la colle Stabilit-Express couches de faible épaisseur et

jamais de gros bourrelets.

Tous les collages sur le fuselage, aux endroits où l’eau risque de

s’infiltrer (unité de gouvernail, tubes d’étambot, etc.) doivent être

parfaitement étanchés avec de la colle Stabilit-Express.

Après avoir appliqué la colle, maintenir les pièces en position avec

des pinces à linge ou des morceaux de ruban adhésif.

Appliquer les petites quantités de colle cyanoacrylate de type Extra

ou de type 2 avec une aiguille ou un fil métallique fin.

Pour effectuer les soudures au niveau des chandeliers de rambar-

de et d’éléments similaires, souder chaud mais brièvement pour ne

pas risquer d’abîmer les matières plastiques (superstructure, pla-

tes-formes, etc.). Il est également possible, alternativement, de réa-

liser un dispositif personnel pour couder et souder les éléments de

rambarde individuels.

Nettoyer les points de soudage avant d'intervenir. Poncer au papier

de verre fin et dégraisser tous les éléments métalliques avant de les

peindre.

Isoler les soudures des connecteurs et des raccords de brins avec

des morceaux de gaine thermorétractable.

Les données directionnelles comme gauche et droite sont à consi-

dérer dans le sens de la navigation.

Toutes les cotes mentionnées dans le texte et sur les illustrations

sont indiquées en millimètres.

Consignes concernant la mise en peinture

Les joints de liaison entre les éléments en plastique peuvent être

mastiqués avec un produit de type robbe-rostuff-micro avant d’être

poncés proprement.

Les éléments en plastique qui seront peints doivent être nettoyés à

l'essence de nettoyage (ne pas utiliser de nitrométhane) avant de

les poncer légèrement au papier de verre fin. Avant de peindre la

coque, nous recommandons de le traiter d’abord avec une couche

passivante et de le poncer au papier de verre fin.

Si vous souhaitez obtenir des surfaces de couleurs différents par-

faitement délimitées, travaillez systématiquement par pans.

C'est-à-dire qu'il faut d'abord ajuster l'élément, devant être peint

d'une autre couleur, dans le modèle avant de le peindre et de le vis-

ser ou de le coller dans le modèle. Si vous souhaitez appliquer des

peintures de divers coloris, délimitez les surfaces avec du ruban

adhésif transparent, n'utilisez pas de produits spécifiques tels que

Tesakrepp, par exemple. Il faut ensuite retirer les morceaux de

ruban adhésif avant que la colle soit parfaitement sèche.

Poncer les éléments déjà peints avant d'y appliquer la colle.

Si les travaux de mise en peinture s’imposent avant la poursuite du

montage, cela est indiqué. La mise en peinture est laissée à vos

bons soins.

Pour la mise en peinture, n'utiliser que des produits à base acryli-

que ou à base de résine synthétique. Il est possible aussi bien

d’appliquer la peinture au pinceau que directement à la bombe.

Pour la mise en peinture il est possible de se référer à l'illustration

du couvercle du carton d'emballage.

Consignes concernant l'ensemble de radiocommande

Nous recommandons d'implanter les composants de l'ensemble

de radiocommande que nous indiquons.

Si vous utilisez d'autres composants, reportez-vous au schéma

d'implantation. Réaliser l’affectation de manière analogue.

Mettre l'ensemble de radiocommande en marche selon les indica-

tions fournies par la notice qui l'accompagne pour amener les ser-

vos au neutre avant de les mettre en place dans le modèle – le

manche et le dispositif de réglage de précision (trim) correspondant

doivent alors se trouver au neutre sur l'émetteur. Fixer les connec-

teurs dans la coque de telle sorte qu’ils ne puissent entrer en

contact avec l’eau éventuellement infiltrée.

Consignes concernant les fonctions spéciales

Le modèle est conçu pour de nombreuses fonctions spéciales. Il

est possible de mettre en œuvre l’éclairage, le radar, la sirène et le

bruitage du moteur Diesel.

- Antiparasiter le moteur 1.2 avec les condensateurs

Au moment de souder le cordon de connexion du moteur 1.6

veiller à ce que le brin rouge soit raccordé au pôle du moteur

muni du point rouge.

- Installer la fiche mâle AMP 1.7. Glisser le corps isolant 1.8 en

place de telle sorte que le brin rouge se trouve sous le nez de

- Poncer légèrement le tube d’étambot 1.12 dans le secteur de la

future section de collage. Planter les bagues Ø 2 x Ø 4 x 5 mm

de chaque côté dans le tube d'étambot.

- Raccorder l’arbre d’hélice 1.13 via l’accouplement 1.14 -1.17 au

moteur, glisser le tube d’étambot en place.

- Le contre-écrou ne sera mis en place qu’après l’installation du

tube d’étambot.

- Installer l’unité d’entraînement et la plaque de fond 1.19 dans la

coque en veillant à ce que couple-moteur s’engage dans la pla-

- Mettre le couple de soutènement 1.20 en place et ne le coller

qu’à la plaque de fond.

- Glisser la plaque de fond jusqu’en butée à l’arrière. Coller la pla-

que de fond avec de la colle cyanoacrylate dans la coque.

- Aligner le couple-moteur de sorte que le moteur et l’arbre

d’hélice se trouvent en ligne. Vérifier l’alignement avec une chute

parfaitement droite d’une plaque fraisée. Colle le couple-moteur

avec de la colle cyanoacrylate.

- Retourner le modèle. Visser le contre-écrou 1.18 jusqu’en fin de

butée sur l’arbre de l’hélice 1.13.

- Vérifier que la tube d’étambot (1.12) présente une saille de 8 mm

par rapport à l’aileron d’arbre d’hélice. Effectuer les corrections

qui s’imposent en desserrant la vis sans tête 1.17 et en décalant

l’arbre d’hélice et le tube d’étambot en conséquence.

- Coller le tube d’étambot et l’aileron d’arbre d’hélice de manière

parfaitement étanche avec de la colle Stabilit-Express. Pour ce

faire, tourner le tube d’étambot après avoir appliqué la colle pour

répartir la colle Stabilit-Express sur toute la périphérie.

- Coller la plaque de fond et le couple-moteur dans la coque.

- Coller le couple de soutènement 1.20 au fuselage.

- Détacher le berceau de la coque.

place. Installer l’unité dans l’alésage de la coque, l’aligner et col-

ler la jaumière avec de la colle cyanoacrylate.

- Coller la jaumière dans la coque et à la plaque de fond - Stabilit-

Express.

- Ajuster le pavois 3.4 avec précision et le fixer avec des morceaux

de ruban adhésif. Le pavois et la coque doivent se trouver par-

- Il est possible de réaliser les écubiers et les dalots à l’aide des

autocollants ou de les réaliser effectivement. Pour exécuter les

éléments effectivement, coller les autocollants représentatifs.

Relever la position du plan à l’échelle 1.

- Pour le marquage de la ligne de flottaison CWL, tenir compte des

indications fournies par le schéma sur la vue d'ensemble.

- Peindre la totalité de la coque. Tracer la ligne de flottaison CWL

et peindre la partie immergée de la coque.
