RemVu2
Introduction
What is the…
RemVu2 ?
At RemGuard we understand that no two security installations are the same. Unlike many other providers of
remotely monitored CCTV our latest RemVu2 is actually designed, developed and produced in-house. As a
result when the equipment is installed on site it is uniquely congured to meet your individual requirements.
Our highly skilled technical engineers can programme in features so, for example, gates can be opened
automatically or staff can enter a site via a specic route at key times without comprising the security of the
overall site.
The RemVu2 provides advanced CCTV features within a highly scalable, modular architecture, which when
combined with our BS8418 accredited remote monitoring solution makes the perfect security package for
any residential or commercial business requirement.
The RemVu2 is composed of a video server or VSRV which handles video compression, networking and
transmission, and a communicator or ECOM which handles all alarm inputs, outputs, communication, and
interface to STU.

RemVu2
Introduction
The RemVu2 consists of a video server (VSRV) which handles video compression, networking and
transmission, and a communicator (ECOM) which handles all alarm inputs, outputs, communication and
interface to STU.
The RemVu2 has been designed as a single unit with the communicator board mounted above the video
server board.
All video connections are via the BNC inputs.
The PSU is mounted in the case. Mains power is supplied to the PSU via a cable passed through the gland
in the housing.
An optional 12V battery can be connected to the ying leads using the 1/4” spade sockets.
The 1TB hard drive is connected via SATA to the VSRV board. Power is drawn from the ECOM board.
