Commissioning
Unpack the stamp, connect the mains unit to the charging station,
plug in the mains unit, and switch on the power supply.
Note: Use only original REINER components!
Place jetStamp in the charging station, take care of the following points:
•Engage the notch (9) and place jetStamp in the charging station
•Allow at least 14 hours for the first charging, subsequently,
approximately three hours are required for charging.
The state of charge of the battery is shown in the top right-hand
corner of the display by the battery symbol .
While charging is taking place, the green charging indicator light (3)
on the charging station is illuminated.
•Avoid exposing the jetStamp to direct sunlight.
For permissible ambient temperature, see page 23, 'Technical data'
Installing ink cartridge:
Press [ MODE ] if necessary repeatedly, until the menu item
“INKJET” appears in the lower line of the display (menu bar)
Press [ INKJET ] : For easier handling, the print
carriage moves automatically to the centre of its travel
Take the ink cartridge out of its packing (follow the manufactures’s
instructions!)
Press the locking rail (7) to the rear and insert the ink cartridge
into the print carriage with its grip (8) towards you
Pull the locking rail (7) forwards again until it engages
Press [ INKJET ] to transport the print carriage back
to its start position

Display zones and button functions
The display is divided into three zones:
AThe top line is the status line.
On the left is the number of the impression selected (P:26 ... P:29) .
To the right of that, the Moisture Sensivity Level is displayed
(MSL: 1, 2, 2A, 3, 4, 5, 5A, 6)
At the right of the top line is the battery symbol, showing the state
of charge of the battery.
BThe middle of the display shows the impression currently
selected on one or two lines.
CThe bottom line of the display contains the menu bar.
The menu items and commands displayed here can be selected
by pressing the appropriate button.
DBelow the display there are four buttons.
Each button is associated with the menu field in the display
immediately above it, i.e. a button function always depends
on the menu or command displayed.

Setting time and date
First select an impression that contains the date, or date and time
as appropriate
Press [ MODE ] if necessary repeatedly, until the menu item
“CLOCK” is displayed
Press [ CLOCK ] to select the required menu item
The display shows “INPUT - TIME 1” and below it you will see
the time currently set
This menu may be protected by a password.
In that case the correct password must first be entered.
Press [ VARY ] to select the minutes figures and set the
minutes by pressing [ INC ]
Press [ NEXT ] to select the hours figures and set the
hours by pressing [ INC ]
Press [ RETURN ] and then [ NEXT ] to change
to the date display (display shows “INPUT - DATE 1”)
At this point it is possible to switch over to “INPUT - TIME 2”
and “INPUT - DATE 2” with [ NEXT ] (impracticable with
MS-Level 5A !)
Press [ VARY ] to select the year figures and set the year
by pressing [ INC ]
Press [ NEXT ] to change to the month display and use
[ INC ] to set the month
Press [ NEXT ] to change to the days figures and use
[ INC ] to change the setting
Press [ RETURN ] if necessary twice, to exit the menu.
The impression selected will be displayed, and the stamp
is ready for use

Select a stamp picture
•A total of four different stamp pictures are stored.
These contain the individual printing fields 'Date'
and 'Time’ .
•The stamp pictures are numbered 'P:26' to 'P:29'.
The number of the stamp picture currently selected
is shown at the top left of the display
•The following formats of the date are assigned to the
different Stamp pictures:
Stamp picture P:26 Stamp picture P:27
Day, Month, Year, Time of day Year, Month, Day, Time of day
Stamp picture P:28 Stamp picture P:29
Month, Day, Year, Time of day
Month, Day, Year, Time (AM/PM)
Selection of a desired Stamp picture:
Select the desired Stamp picture via the SETUP menu.
Over here all available Stamp pictures can be selected, as
well as the Stamp pictures, demarked with ‘OFF’ in the
Setup menu at ‘SET STAMP PICT’
(see Setup - menu, page 18, ‘STAMP PICTURE’)

Descriptions of the Stamp pictures
•Each Stamp picture includes two lines with respective
20 possible input characters
•All Stamp pictures are assigned with the fields Date 1 ,
Date 2 , Time 1 and Time 2 .
With application of a PC-Set the Stamp pictures can be
reserved individual with the corresponding fields.
Following this fields can be selected for data input.
•MSL (Moisture Sensivity Level):
Setting see Setup module, page 18, ‘MSL LEVEL’
or see like following described:
Setting of the MS - Level :
Select the desired Stamp picture (P:26 ... P:29)
To swap between the different MS - Levels (MSL 1 ... 6)
press [ NEXT ]
MS - Level: 1 = Unlimited
2 = 1 Year
2A = 4 Weeks
3 = 7 Days
4 = 3 Days
5 = 2 Days
5A = 1 Day
6 = Time on Label (description see
next side)

Special function MSL: 06
By pressing [ INC ] the timing can be add up by one hour within of
23 hours. The alternation of days will be taken into account.
