1.1 Installation and User Manual
RaySat Broadcasting Corporation’s (RBC) T7 System is the innovative antenna system that provides live
satellite TV to a vehicle, while in motion. This manual will provide basic instructions on how to install the T7
antenna and receiver into most vehicles. Only RBC certified installers should install the T7 system.

WARNING:
DO NOT INSTALL AN ACTIVE MONITOR
IN RANGE OF THE VEHICLE’S DRIVER TO
AVOID DISTRACTION WHILE IN MOTION.
This product is intended for entertainment, program
selection and viewing for rear seat passengers in
vehicles operated in the United States. Consult local law
concerning installation of televisions in motor vehicles.
Some states may prohibit TVs in motor vehicles and
others may restrict placement of monitors.

2 Installation and User Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly and carefully before attempting to install or operate any T7 antenna system.
Only RBC certified installers should install the T7 System. Be sure to follow all warnings and cautionary
instructions in this manual.
Follow Instructions:
Observing these instructions is critical to ensure proper
installation. Follow each detail to ensure accurate and safe
installation. Notes will be provided throughout the document to
assist in user-friendly installation and operation of the T7 system.
Key Note:
Be sure to save the shipping box and packing materials
for the antenna. If the system needs to be returned for
maintenance, in or out of warranty, the customer may be
responsible for proper packaging.
Tools and Installation:
Consumers should not attempt repairs to any components
in the system! Only qualified and authorized service personnel
should repair damaged or non-operational equipment. Evidence
of unauthorized repairs or tampering will void the warranty.
Warning:
The T7 system is specifically designed for use as it comes
shipped - with the housings and unit covers intact.
Any attempt to modify or to retrofit this product or its
components will void the warranty and may be hazardous.
Caution:
Do not open or remove the cover of the antenna or receiver
to avoid exposure to dangerous voltage.
Caution:
To avoid fire or electrical shock by the receiver, do not
expose it to rain or moisture. The receiver ventilation
openings must not be tampered with, covered or obstructed.
Warning:
Painting the T7 antenna radome may degrade system
performance. Painting the antenna radome will void the warranty.

3 Receiving Mobile Satellite TV
3.1 Signal Reception
The T7 System can be used to receive satellite television using a Direct Broadcast Satellite located 22,000
miles in space. This system requires a clear view of the satellite in the southern sky to maximize the signal
reception. Other factors, such as satellite coverage area, elevation angle and weather also contribute to the
signal quality (Figure 3-1).
3-1 Satellite elevation look angle
3.3 Blockage Protection
Objects such as buildings, mountains, bridges, tunnels and trees may block the line of sight (LOS) view to
the satellite. Blockage protection allows you to continue watching television for up to 2 minutes, even
though the antenna is blocked and not receiving a signal from the satellite. It will take about 1 minute
of unobstructed signal to build 2 minutes of blockage protection. If a blockage occurs for longer than
2 minutes, the protection empties and has to start over. Once you clear the obstruction, it will take the
system approximately 10 seconds to reacquire the satellite signal and provide programming. If you change
the channel, the system will need another 1 minute to build the 2 minutes of protection.
3.2 Azimuth and Elevation
The DBS satellites are located in the southern sky. The T7 is a sophisticated mobile antenna with a satellite
recognition and tracking system. The antenna automatically determines and maintains the proper azimuth
and elevation angle without user intervention. This enables the system to receive satellite TV while
stationary or in motion.

3.4 Standing Water Interference
When a vehicle is parked, rain and morning dew may collect on the radome of the T7. This may cause
interference with satellite reception. Once the vehicle is in motion, any standing water on the antenna
should roll off and the interference resolved. Clean the radome with a soft, clean cloth if necessary.

4 T7 System Components and Parameters
4.1 System Components
The T7 System is comprised of the following components:
T7 Antenna
The antenna houses the electronics beneath a
weather-tight radome. It is installed onto the
vehicle’s roof and connected with a single coaxial
cable to the receiver inside the vehicle.
T7 Universal Mounting Bracket
The antenna mount is designed to install on
most vehicle roof rack crossbars and side rails.
Mobile Receiver
The receiver supplies power and commands to
the antenna. It is equipped with A/V ports for
integration with the vehicle’s entertainment system.
RF Remote Control
The remote control uses a low power RF
transmitter to control the receiver from anywhere in
the vehicle, without pointing directly at the receiver.
