This document is an up-to-date version of
the installation manual at the time of publi-
cation. Please note the respective version
and date.
This manual describes the setup of Combi-
Duo for the units:
nLM1: iCombi Pro (iCP) 6 half size to 10
full size
nLM2: iCombi Classic (iCC) 6 half size to
10 full size
This manual is a supplement to the unit in-
stallation manual for iCombi Pro / iCombi
Classic. Read this manual completely be-
fore carrying out the installation. The in-
stallation manual enables safe handling of
the units and correct installation.
The images in this installation manual are
examples only and may differ from the
unit.
Information on the water connection,
wastewater connection, electrical connec-
tion and, for gas units, the gas and exhaust
gas connection, can be found in the unit in-
stallation manual for iCombi Pro / iCombi
Classic.
All information from the unit installation
manual for iCombi Pro / iCombi Classic
applies accordingly.
2 Safety
The units are designed so that they do not
pose a danger when installed correctly.
This manual describes proper installation
of Combi-Duo.
Observe all safety information in the in-
stallation manual for iCombi Pro / iCombi
Classic.
nObserve the relevant country-specific
and local regulations and standards in
your country.
nThe unit should only be connected in
accordance with the installation man-
ual and the information on the type
plate.
nSwitch off the unit when disconnecting
it from or connecting it to the power
supply.
Also observe the following danger warn-
ings for setting up Combi-Duo:
DANGER
Harmful exhaust flue gases
Risk of suffocation or poisoning due to
concentrations of harmful flue gases
(Carbon monoxide).
nMake sure that there are sufficient
ventilation options in the installation
area.
nCarry out a flue gas analysis during
commissioning of the unit.
nOnly for Japan:
The unit must be installed under an
exhaust hood.
DANGER
Leaking gas
Risk of explosion due to leaking gas.
nShut off the gas supply.
nDo not touch any electrical switching
components.
nManually ventilate the room.
nAvoid open flames and sparks.
nInform the responsible gas supplier
or fire department using an external
telephone.

WARNING
Risk of crushing or injury when tilting
or turning the Combi-Duo setup
The setup could fall off the installation
surface when tilting or turning the
Combi-Duo setup.
nDo not tilt the setup on the
installation surface.
nWhen turning the setup, ensure that
the weight of the units is evenly
distributed and the feet or guide
rollers of the stand or leveling kit are
on the installation surface.
nFix the setup with accessories
specified by the manufacturer.
WARNING
Risk of burns due to hot exhaust pipes.
The exhaust pipes and exhaust gas
pipes can get extremely hot during
operation of the Combi-Duo setup.
nDo not touch the exhaust pipes
during operation.
nFor gas units: Do not touch the
exhaust gas pipes during operation.
CAUTION
Risk of crushing due to the weight of
the units
Fingers, hands and feet may be trapped
under the units.
nWear suitable protective clothing for
transport and setup.
nOnly setup the unit in sequence.
nOnly lift the units individually onto
the installation surface.
nUse carrying aids such as the
manufacturer’s lifting aids.
nNote the center of gravity of the
relevant units when lifting.
nOnly lift the units via the designated
lifting points.
CAUTION
Risk of crushing and injury during
Combi-Duo installation
There is an increased risk of crushing
hands and fingers in Combi-Duo
installations.
The distance between the bars of the
lifting aid and the Combi-Duo kit is
very small when positioning on the kit.
nMake sure that the unit is placed
carefully on the kit and is stable on
the installation surface.
nPlace the unit on the installation
surface so that there is sufficient
space between the kit and the lifting
aid to protect hands and fingers.

CAUTION
Sharp edges on the panels
Risk of cuts on the panels when
working on the unit.
Wear protective gloves.
NOTE
Damage to the connections can occur
during movement
Disconnect all connections before
moving the Combi-Duo. Ensure all
connections are in accordance with the
specifications again once the work is
complete.
Align the stand or the leveling kit
horizontally before setting up the
Combi-Duo setup again.
Guide rollers: Apply the locking brake.

Dimensions
Note that the connection heights and in-
sert heights for both units change with the
Combi-Duo setup. Drawings for the setup
and precise dimensions and height of the
topmost insert rail for the different com-
positions can be found in separate dimen-
sional drawings.
NOTE!If the insert height is over 1600
mm [63 inch], attach a safety label on the
unit.

4 Preparations
Setting up the bottom unit
In order to set up the bottom unit for the
Combi-Duo setup, mount the unit on a
stand with feet, guide rollers or on a level-
ing kit.
Note that the distance X from the exhaust
box of the Combi-Duo unit is at least
50mm [2 inch] to the wall.

For setting up the unit on the stand, follow
the description in the installation manual
for the unit.
Bottom unit alignment
nAlign the stand: Set up the unit and
check the alignment with a spirit level
in the cooking cabinet. If necessary,
align the guide rollers or feet evenly so
that the unit is stable.
nAligning the leveling kit: Set up the
leveling kit and check the alignment
with a spirit level before positioning
the bottom unit on the leveling kit.
5 Installation
Setting up the Combi-Duo and the top unit
NOTE
Mounting and fixing the top unit on
the top base plate
The top unit is only fixed in place with
three screws on the top base plate. The
forth fixing is difficult to access due to
the exhaust gas pipe cover and is not
essential.
aThe bottom unit is set up on a stand
with feet or guide rollers or a leveling
kit.
aThe top of the bottom unit is clean and
free from grease.
1. Loosen the 3 screws from the cover of
the bottom unit [ Figure 02].
2. Place the Combi-Duo base plate on
the bottom unit. Align the base plate
so that the closed, right side panel of
the plate joins flush with the right unit
wall.
3. Fix the Combi-Duo base plate with
3screws [ Figure 03].
4. Mount the feet on the base plate with
cap nuts [ Figure 04].
5. Place the cover for the exhaust gas
pipes on the bottom unit
[ Figure 05].
6. Mount the holder on the bottom of the
top base plate [ Figure 06].
7. Fix the top base plate on the feet
[ Figure 07].
8. Remove the rubber seal around the
unit base edge of the top unit
[ Figure 08].
9. Place the top unit carefully on the
Combi-Duo intermediate assembly kit
[ Figure 09].
10. Fix the top unit onto the top base plate
of the Combi-Duo intermediate as-
sembly kit using at least 3 screws
[ Figure 10].
11. Mount the rubber seal around the unit
base edge of the top unit
[ Figure 11].
12. If an Ethernet cable is to be connected
to the top unit, connect the cable be-
fore the exhaust and vent pipe is
mounted for better accessibility.

13. Fix the cover for the exhaust gas pipes
with cap nuts and washers.
14. Mount the exhaust gas and ventilation
pipes [ Figure 12].
15. Mount the flue gas stack and fix it with
a cap nut and washers [ Figure 13].
16. Mount the shaft cover on the flue gas
stack [ Figure 14].
Reversing the orientation of the door
handle of the bottom unit to the up position
1. Dismantle the door handle of the bot-
tom unit: Remove the plastic cover of
the door lock on the inside of the door
by pushing the cover up on the door
and remove it [ Figure 15].
2. Loosen the screw of the door handle
with a 5 mm Allen wrench
[ Figure 16].
3. Pull off the door handle, turn it
180degrees and mount the door han-
dle again [ Figure 17].
4. Mount the plastic cover again
[ Figure 18].
6 Remote control
With the Combi-Duo stack, you have the
option of combining the two units to-
gether.
NOTE
Settings for remote control must be
carried out on the controlling units
For the remote control function to
work, the following steps must be set
on the controlling unit.
The controlling unit and the unit to be
controlled must be defined in advance.
aThe units are connected with an Ether-
net cable.
aBoth units are switched on and ready
for operation.

>The menu for remote control is

>Enter a clear unit name.
5. Press the button (Pos. 3)

>Select a unit color.
6. Set the remote control button (Pos. 4)
to
ON
[ Figure 20]

7. Press the button (Pos. 5)
IP address of
remote-controlled unit
[ Figure 20].
>Enter the IP address of the iCombi
to be controlled remotely.
>> The units are connected.
Important: You can switch between the
units (Pos. 6) [ Figure 20].
When accessing the unit to be controlled
from the controlling unit, the display is
framed in the selected color (see Step 5).
This shows that settings are now being
made on a different unit.
