BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

• Removeallpackagingmaterials.

• Wipetheplatesandoutsideoftheappliancewithaslightlydampcloth.Drythoroughly.

 DONOTIMMERSETHEAPPLIANCEINWATER.

• Forbestresults,lightlycoattheplateswithalittlecookingoil.

NOTE: Whentheapplianceisheatedforthersttime,itmayemitsmokeorodour.

Thisisnormal.

ASSEMBLY

• Theappliancehasthreesetsofplatesincludingupperand

 lowerplatesformakingdonuts,popcakesandcupcakes.

• Thedonutandpopcakeplatesareidenticaland

 interchangeablehoweverthecupcakeplatesindicateswhich

 oneisrequiredtobeplacedintheupperorlowerposition.

• Fittheplatestotheappliancemakingsuretheedgesare

 aligned.Pressplatesdownuntiltheyclickintoplace.

• Toremovetheplates,unplugtheappliancefromthemains

 socketandallowtocool,thenpresstheplatereleasebuttons

 andtakeouttheplates.

BAKING

1. Selectthecorrectplatesandtthemtotheappliance.

2. Ensurethelidisclosed,makingsurethelockinglatchclicksintoposition.

3. Plugtheapplianceintothemainssocket.

 • Thegreenpowerandredreadyindicatorlightswillilluminatetoindicatethat

  theapplianceispreheating.Preheatingwilltakeabout5minutes.

4. Whentheredreadyindicatorlightgoesout,theapplianceisreadyforuse.

5. Releasethelockinglatchandliftthelid,takingcarenottotouchthehotsurfaces.

 • Itisrecommendedtowearovengloveswhenopeningtheclosingthelid.

6. Filleachmouldoftheplateswithdessertmixture.

 • Makesurethatyoudonotoverllthemouldsandadjustyourrecipetoensurethat

  youhaveenoughmixturetomakeequalbatchesofdesserts.

7. Carefullyclosethelid,ensuringthatthelockinglatchclicksintoposition.

8. Followthebakingtimeontherecipesthenreleasethelockinglatchandcarefullylift

 thelidandcheckthedesserts.

 • Thedonuts,popcakesorcupcakesshouldbewellrisenandspringytotouch.

 • Checkthedessertsafteracoupleofminutestoensurethattheydonotburn.

 • Duringbaking,theredreadyindicatorlightwillcycleonandofftomaintainthe

  applianceisatthecorrecttemperature.

9. Oncethedessertsareready,removethedessertsusingaheatproofplasticor

 woodenspatula.

10.Whenbakingiscomplete,unplugtheappliancefromthemainssocket,allowthe

 appliancetocoolcompletelybeforeremovingtheplatesorcleaning.

HINTS AND TIPS:

• Adjustyourrecipestoensurethatthebattersarenottoowet.Afairlyrmmixture

 isrequired.

• Thedessertsaresmallsoifusingfruitsandnutsinarecipe,trychopthemintosmaller

 piecessothattheyaredispersedmoreevenlyintothemixture.

• Donotusemetalorsharppointedutensilstoliftoutthebakeddessertsasthiswill

 damagetheplatesurfaces.

• Ifafewbatchesofdessertsarebeingmade,keepthelidclosedtoretaintheheat.

 Alwayswaituntiltheredreadyindicatorlightgoesoutbeforeaddingmoremixture.

• Whenmakingafewbatchesofdessertsthebakingtimemayneedtobeadjustedas

 theappliancewillretainsomeheatwhichwillresultinafasterbakingtime.

• Awoodencocktailstickcanbeinsertedintothedessertsanditshouldcomeout

 cleaniftheyareready.Ifthedessertsneedaslightlylongerbakingtime,closethelid

 andallowthemtobakeforalittlelonger.

Vanilla Cupcakes

Makesapproximately12cupcakes

Ingredients:

100gselfraisingour

100gmargarine

100gcastersugar

2mediumeggs

½teaspoon(2.5g)ofvanillaessence

Method:

Mixtogetherthemargarineandthesugarinafoodprocessororwithahandheldwhisk

untilitislightanduffy.

Addtheeggsoneatatimealongwithalittleoureachtime,untilwellmixed.

Stirinthevanillaessence.Addourtothemixturegradually,untilitiscombinedwith

themixture.

Fitthecupcakeplatesandpreheattheapplianceaccordingtotheinstructionsprovided.

Spoonthemixtureintothecupcakemouldsandbakeforapproximately12minutes.

Removefromthemouldswhengoldenbrownandcookedthrough.

Donuts

Makesapproximately24donuts

Ingredients:

192gplainour

64gcastersugar

125gbutterormargarine,softened

1egg

175mlmilk

1½teaspoon(7.5g)ofbakingpowder

½teaspoon(2.5g)ofsalt

Cinnamonsugar,optional

Method:

Inalargebowl,mixtogethertheour,castersugar,bakingpowderandsalt.

Addthebutter,eggandmilkandbeatwithablenderuntilmixtureisthick,smooth

andcreamy.

Fitthedonutplatesandpreheattheapplianceaccordingtotheinstructionsprovided.

Spoonthemixtureintothemouldsandbakeforapproximately2minutes,oruntilthe

donutsaregoldenbrownandsofttotouch.

Carefullyremovethedonutsfromtheapplianceandplaceontoawireracktocool.

Brushthedonutswithmeltedbutterandsprinklewithcinnamonsugar,ifdesired.

Ingredients:

100gallpurposeour

100gcastersugar

50gbutter

1largeegg

60mlmilk

1teaspoon(5g)ofvanillaessence

½teaspoon(2.5g)ofbakingpowder

Pinchofsalt

Method:

Creamthebutterusingawoodenspoonuntilitissoft,thenaddthesugarandvanilla

essenceandbeatuntillightandcreamy,thenbeatintheegg.

Sifttogetherthebakingpowder,saltandour,thenblendhalfoftheourintothemixture.

Addthemilkandmixwell,thenaddtherestoftheourmixtureandcombine.

Spoonthemixtureintothemouldsandbakeforapproximately5minutes.

Bakingtimecanbeincreasedaccordingtopersonaltaste.

andstorage.

Cleantheoutsideoftheappliancewithaslightlydampcloth.Drywithasoftcloth.

Neveruseabrasiveorchemicalcleaningagents.

Removeandcleanplatesaftereachuse.

fromdifferenttypesoffood,theuseofhotcleanwaterwithamilddetergentisadvisable

crosscontamination.
