PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SAFETY WARNINGS
AND THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING
THE APPLIANCE AND KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
WARNINGS
• This appliance is intended to be used in household
and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential
type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and if they understand the hazards
involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not
be made by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of
reach of children aged less than 8 years.
• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards

involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be
ejected.
• WARNING: Position the lid so that steam is directed
away from the handle.
• WARNING: Do not remove the lid while the water is
boiling.
• The kettle is only to be used with the stand provided.
• The appliance must not be immersed.
• CAUTION: Insure that the kettle is switched off
before removing it from its stand.
• Regarding the instructions for cleaning surfaces in
contact with food, refer to the section “CLEANING
AND DESCALING” in page EN-5.
• WARNING: Risks of injuries if you don't use this
appliance correctly.
• The heating element surface is subject to residual
heat after use.
• A warning to avoid spillage on the connector.

• The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high
when the appliance is operating.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Place the appliance on a stable flat surface before
use.
• Be careful when opening the lid immediately after
the water has boiled, the steam coming out of the
kettle is very hot constituting a risk of scalding.

• Do not use the kettle to heat anything other than
water. Never fill the kettle beyond the maximum
level indication.
• Make sure the bottom of the kettle and the power
base are dry before placing the kettle onto the power
base.
PARTS
OPERATION
Before first use, it is recommended to operate the kettle for 2 to 3 times
following the instructions below. This will remove any dust or residues
remaining from the manufacturing process.
1. Remove kettle from power base.
2. Open the lid and fill kettle with desired amount of cold water.
Always fill the kettle between the minimum and maximum marks on
the water level window.
3. Close the lid by pressing it down until it clicks into place.
4. Place the kettle on the power base and insert the plug into the mains
socket.
5. Press the power switch. The water is being heated.
• The power indicator light will illuminate.

6. The kettle will switch off automatically when the water boils.
• The power indicator light will go out.
• You can stop the boiling process by lifting the power switch.
NOTE: Use the kettle only when the lid is closed and the filter is in place.
Cut-out for boil-dry protection
If you operate the kettle without water, the kettle will stop heating and
automatically switch off.
If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before filling with cold water and
re-boiling.

CLEANING AND DESCALING
• Always unplug the appliance from the mains socket
and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
• Do not use chemical, steel wool or abrasive cleaner
to clean the appliance.
• Clean the outside of the ke le and the power base
using a slightly damp cloth.
• Remove the filter from the spout. Clean it under
running water and then replace it.
• Regularly descale the kettle using a specific descaler.
• Wipe the inside of the kettle with a clean cloth.

and its accessories must be disposed of separately from household waste
when the appliance reaches its end of life.
Contact your local authority to learn about disposal and recycling.
The appliance should be taken to your local collection point for recycling.
Some collection points accept appliance free of charge.
