IMPORTANTINSTRUCTIONS

2.Thisapplianceishot whenin use.Toavoid

at least 3feet(1m.)fromthefrontoftheheater.
3.Extremecaution is necessarywhenanyheater
isusedbyornearchildrenor invalidsandwhen-

4.Alwaysunplugheaterwhennot inuse.
5.Donotoperateanyheater with a damaged cord
orplugorafterthe heatermalfunctions, has
been dropped ordamaged in anymanner.
6.Anyrepairsto thisapplianceshould be carried
outbyaqualified service person.
7.Under no circumstances shouldthiselectric fire-
placebemodified. Partshavingto beremoved
for servicingmustbereplacedpriortooperat-
ingthiselectricfireplaceagain.
8.Do notuseoutdoors.
9.This heaterisnotintendedfor useinbathrooms,
laundryareasorsimilarindoor locations. Never
usethisappliance nearabathtub orotherwa-
tercontainer.
10.Do notrun cordundercarpeting.Do notcover
cordwiththrowrugs, runners orsimilar
coverings.Arrangecordawayfrom trafficareas
and whereitwill notbe tripped over.
11.Todisconnect heater,turncontrols toOFF,then
removeplug fromoutlet.
12.Connecttoproperlygrounded outlets only.
13.Whenthisapplianceisinstalled,it mustbeelectri-
callygrounded inaccordance withlocalcodes with
thecurrentCSAC22.1 Canadianlocalcodesfor
USAinstallations. FollowlocalcodesandNational
Electrical Code,ANSI/NFPANO.70 and Canadian
Cord: CZ22.2NO.0.
14. Do notinsertorallowforeign objectstoenter any
ventilation orexhaust openingasthismaycause
electric shock, fireordamage tothe heater.
15.Topreventapossible fire,donotblockairintakes
orexhaust in anymanner. Do notuseon soft
surfaces,suchasabed,whereopeningsmay
becomeblocked.
16.Thisheatergetshot anditcontainsinternalparts
that sparksandarcs.Donotuseit in areas where
gasoline,paint, orflammableliquidsareused or
stored.
17.Use thisheateronlyasdescribed in thismanual.
