Safety

WARNING:

THIS WATER TUBE IS NOT ALIFE RAFT OR LIFE SAVING DEVICE.

FOR SWIMMERS ONLY

To reduce therisk of accident, injury or drowning; read thefollowing safety instructions:

• This water tube must only be used by persons over theage of 6 years.

• Do not pass hands or feet through thehandle, towline loop or fastener.

• Avoid sudden movements as they can cause thewater tube to tip over, which can

lead to personal injury.

• Do not use thewater tube at speeds which exceed theuser’s ability.

• Never exceed thepeople carrying capacity of thewater tube as recommended by

themanufacturer. Find out what themaximum people carrying capacity for your

particular water tube is.

• Themax load capacity of thewater tube is 125 kg.

• This water tube must not be used whilst under theinﬂuence of alcohol or medicine.

• Keep all parts of your body above thesurface of thewater.

• Before starting, make sure that thetow rope runs freely and that there is no danger

of anyone getting tangled in it.

• Thedriver of thetowing boat is responsible for controlling thesteering of thewater

tube since it cannot be controlled by therider.

• Apart from theboat driver, there should always be at least one other person in

theboat who can keep watch on theperson using thewater tube.

• Avoid making sharp turns with theboat, as this can cause thewater tube to ﬂip

over, possibly resulting in injury to therider.

• Never use thewater tube in shallow water or near land, jetties, other boats or

people in thewater.

• Thewater tube must not be used in strong winds, strong currents, around rocks,

coral reefs or on open water.

• Do not leave thewater tube close to thewater when it is not in use.

• Never modify thewater tube. Doing so can affect its safety.

• Never use thewater tube if you are all alone; always make sure that someone is

close by who would notice if anything should happen.

• Themanufacturer and retailer are not responsible for how thewater tube is used or

for any damage or injuries sustained whilst using thewater tube.

• All use is at your own risk! It is theresponsibility of theuser to see that thewater

tube is used correctly and in accordance with theinstructions.

• Thewater tube should be inspected regularly for damage.

• Do not use it if it is damaged or leaking.

• Thewater tube must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from

physical or mental impairment. This product should not be used by anyone who

does not have theproper experience or knowledge of theproduct unless they have

been instructed in its use by someone who takes responsibility for their safety.

• Only use thewater tube together with aresponsible and experienced boat driver.

• If thewater tube is designed for more than one person, riders should take extra care

not collide with one other.

• Never bind anyone to thewater tube.

• Never wedge hands or feet under theouter cover or between theouter cover and

thetube.

• Remove debris or obstacles which might present ahazard whilst thewater tube is

being towed.

• Using water tubes can be physically demanding. It is therefore important that you

know your own limits. Act responsibly and stop when you are tired.

• Check thetow rope and its connectors for frays, cracks, sharp edges, knots or wear

before each use. Discard thetow rope if it shows signs of any of theaforementioned

damage or if it is very worn. Such damage can lead to therope breaking and causing

apersonal injury.

• Use only tow ropes designed for towing ﬂoating leisure craft.

• Use thehand signals explained in theinstruction manual for communication between

therider of thewater tube and thedriver of theboat.

• Theboat driver has overall responsibility for thesafe operation of thetowed product.

• Wear suitable clothing to help prevent injuries.

• Thespeed of theboat must never exceed 30 km/h (16 knots) for adults and 20 km/h

(10 knots) for children.

Warning

• Theuse of this water tube and participation in water sports involves aninherent risk

of injury.

• Always wear apersonal ﬂoatation device which has been approved to ISO 12402-5

standards.

• Avoid making sharp turns with theboat at high speed, as this can cause thewater

tube to ﬂip over, possibly resulting in injury to therider.

• Do not tow thewater tube with arope designed for water skiing.

• Use atow rope which is strong and suitable for towing inﬂatable leisure craft.

Thetow rope should be at least 15 metres in length but not longer than 19 metres.

Warning

• Thewater tube must not be used by agreater number of persons than is depicted

on thewarning symbol printed on thewater tube.

Responsibilities

Theresponsibilities of theboat driver, theobserver/s and therider/s of thewater

tube are outlined below.

a) General:

Thedriver of thetowing boat has overall responsibility for thesafe operation of

thetowed product.

b) Theboat driver:

Thedriver of thetowing boat is responsible for ensuring that any adaptable devices

on thetowed craft are adapted to suit therider/s of thetowed craft. Ensure that

therider/s is properly seated on thewater tube before starting to accelerate.

Obeyall driving and speed rules related to safety and to thetowing area being used.

c) Observer/s:

Therider/s must be under constant observation, therefore theuse of jet skis as towing

craft is not recommended. Theobserver/s must agree upon communication signals with

therider/s. Theobserver/s must ensure that all communication between therider/s

and theboat driver is clear and easy to understand under all circumstances.

d) Therider/s:

Familiarise yourself with thewater tube, learn how it works and how it should be

used. Learn all thehand signals used for communication between thetowing

craft and riders of thetowed water tube. Familiarise yourself with thepurpose and

function of theconnection/separation device between thewater tube and tow rope.

Read and understand all warning text and safety symbols in theinstruction manual

and on thewater tube.

Warning

• Make sure that you familiarise yourself with your water tube.

• Read all thewarnings and instructions printed in theinstruction manual and on

thewater tube.

• Warnings and instructions vary from model to model, make sure to read and comply

with all warnings and instructions shown on thewater tube.

• Follow theorder of inﬂation of theair chambers printed on thewater tube.

• If thewater tube has anouter cover, install it in accordance with themanufacturer’s

instructions.

• Ensure that thetowing line is attached in accordance with themanufacturer’s

instructions.

• Riders of water tubes shall wear clothing which protects them from skin abrasion

and cold water, such as wet suits or dry suits.

Danger and risk of serious personal injury!

Never place hands or feet through thehandles or tow rope connector.

Thetowing craft must be ﬁtted with aclearly visible ﬂag or other warning marker to

indicate to other water craft that thetowing craft is towing another craft.

Riders must never suddenly abort anormal ride by disconnecting thetow rope without

good reason for doing so.

Themanufacturer and retailer are not responsible for any hazards, damage or injuries

resulting from theincorrect positioning of persons or other load on thewater tube.

Product description

Inner tube, heavy-duty nylon cover and 2 padded handles. Speed valves, self-draining

and tow rope connector (tow rope sold separately).

Inating the water tube

1. Spread thewater tube out on aﬂat surface.

2. Thethree air valves are screw valves consisting of

anouter valve cap (a) and aninner valve body (b),

theinner valve body contains anon-return valve.

Unscrew theouter valve cap from theair valve and

ﬁll thechamber with air.

3. Only use afoot pump or electric pump designed

for theinﬂation of ﬂoating leisure articles. Never use

anair compressor.

4. Do not over-inﬂate thewater tube as too high

apressure could damage it and compromise safety.

5. Screw theouter valve cap back on again.

Check that no air is leaking out.

Deating the water tube

1. Unscrew theentire inner valve body of each air valve

and let theair out.

2. Roll thewater tube up to squeeze all theair out.

Tow rope

• Use atow rope with atensile strength of at least 675 kg for pulling asingle person.

• Thetow rope should be at least 15 metres in length but not longer than 19 metres.

Connect thetow rope to thequick-connector on thewater tube.

Care and maintenance

• Do not expose theinﬂated water tube to direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Heat

can cause thewater tube to expand and become damaged. Lay your inﬂated water

tube in theshade or let some air out if it is to be left in thesun.

• Wash thewater tube with mild soapy water. Never clean theproduct using solvents

or silicone-based cleaners.

• If your water tube is used in salt water, rinse it with fresh water after use.

• Never use sharp objects to clean thewater tube.

• Make sure that thewater tube is completely dry before you put it away.

• Store thewater tube dry, clean and emptied of all air.

Repairs

Arepair kit is not included. Buy arepair kit suitable for inﬂatable ﬂoating leisure articles/

airbeds and follow theinstructions carefully.

Disposal

Thewater tube should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.

If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local council.
