5. Avoid unintentional starts. Be sure the switch is in the OFF position when not in
use and before connecting it to any power source.
AIR TOOL PRECAUTIONS
1. Extended exposure to air tool noise may cause hearing loss. Ear protection
gear can reduce or eliminate the noise level.
2. Inspect the tool’s air line for cracks, fraying or other faults before each use.
Discontinue use if the airline is damaged or hissing is heard from the airline or
connectors, while operating the tool. Replace the defective component/
air line.
3. Do not allow people, mobile equipment or vehicles to pass over the
unprotected air line. Position the airline away from high trafc areas, in a
reinforced conduit or place planks on both sides of the airline to create a
protective trench.
4. Prevent damage to the air line by observing the following:
a. Keep the air line behind the tool and out of the tool’s work path.
b. Keep the air line away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
c. Do not wrap the air line around the tool as sharp edges may pierce or
crack the airline. Coil the airline when storing.
5. A damaged or disconnected air line under pressure may whip around and
inict personal injury or damage the work area. Secure the compressor’s
airline to a xed or permanent structure with clamps or cable ties.
6. Install an in-line shutoff valve or regulator to allow immediate control over the
air supply in an emergency, even if a hose is ruptured.

UNPACKING
1. Carefully remove the tool from the package.
a. Retain packing material until you have carefully inspected and
satisfactorily installed or operated the tool.
2. Make sure that all items in the parts list are included.
3. Inspect the parts carefully to make sure the tool was not damaged
while shipping.
INSTALLATION
1. Select a mounting surface, such as a workbench, to attach the paint shaker
that is able to withstand the weight of the tool, a full paint can, and the
steady vibration of the mixing.
2. With the paint shaker in the desired location, use the mounting holes of the
base of the paint shaker to mark the drilling holes.
CAUTION! Make sure there are no live wires or obstructions beneath the
drilling surface.
3. Move the paint shaker out of the way and drill the holes using a drill bit that
matches the size of the base mounting holes.
4. Replace the base onto the drilled holes, lining up the mounting holes with the
drilled holes.
5. Mount the paint shaker to the work surface using nuts and bolts
(sold separately).
INSTALLING THE AIR CONNECTOR
Prepare a standard 1/4 in. NPT male air connector for use with your tool.
1. Wrap the external threads of the male connector with sealant tape.
a. Wrap the tape in a clockwise direction so it will not unravel.
b. Do not tape all the threads. Leave several leading threads unwrapped
for easier alignment.
2. Screw the connector into the tool’s air inlet and tighten with a wrench
until snug.
3. Run compressor at a low volume and check the connection for air leaks. Do
not use the tool until all air leaks are repaired or the faulty component
is replaced.
OPERATION
WARNING! To avoid personal injury or property damage, make sure that the paint
container is securely closed before placing it in the paint shaker.
WARNING! If the paint can appears to be slipping out from the jaws during operation,

WARNING! Make sure that the control valve is in the off position before connecting the
paint shaker to the air source.
1. Place the paint can within the Jaws (42) and securely tighten Handle (49).
2. Verify that the Control Valve (6) is in the Off position (handle is perpendicular
to air ow direction).
3. Turn on the air pressure at the air supply tank or compressor. Adjust the
pressure to 40 PSI as read on the compressor pressure gauge.
4. Adjust the air pressure up to a maximum of 70 PSI for optimum
tool performance.
5. Turn the Control Valve (6) to the On position. Shaking will begin.
Caution! If the paint can appears to be slipping out from the Jaws (42)
during shaking, immediately turn off the Control Valve (6). Reset the can and
retighten the Jaws.
6. Shake the paint can for two to four minutes, depending on its size.
7. After mixing the paint, turn the Control Valve (6) to the Off position, and wait
for the movement to stop.
8. Disconnect the air hose from the compressor.
9. Loosen Handle (49) and remove the paint can.
CHECK / ADJUST THE SHAKE ANGLE
Check / adjust the shake angle if the air pressure at the shaker is over 120 PSI
as follows:
With the air line at the maximum normal pressure:
1. Clamp up a full 1 gallon round can of paint.
2. Start the paint shaker.
3. Loosen the 3/8 in. lock nut at the adjustment screw on the air inlet tting and
adjust the screw to obtain a total shaking angle of motion of about 30°.
4. Stop the shaker and tighten the lock nut while holding the adjustment
in place.
MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is efcient, easier to
control and will prevent unnecessary problems.
2. Keep the tool handles clean, dry and free from oil and grease at all times.
3. Inspect the tool’s ttings, alignment, hoses and components periodically.
Have damaged or worn components repaired or replaced.

LUBRICATION
It is very important that the tool be properly lubricated. Without proper lubrication, the
tool will not work properly and parts will wear prematurely.
NOTE: Oiling your air tool regularly is important, but also is important not to OVER
oil your air tool. Over oiling can cause premature tool failure. Your tool may not be
ruined, but it will begin to experience loss of power that will continually get worse until
it no longer works. The tool then has to be taken apart and cleaned of excess oil.
WARNING! NEVER use penetrating oils to clean or lubricate your tool. Penetrating oil is
a solvent that will break down the internal grease and cause the tool to seize up.
LUBRICATING THE PAINT SHAKER
1. Disconnect the Pneumatic Paint Shaker from the air supply.
2. Locate the Oil Device (53). There is a plug and a small screw on the Oiler that
must be removed. Using a small funnel, pour air tool oil into the ll hole until
the oiler is full. Replace the Fill Screw and plug.
3. Connect the Pneumatic Paint Shaker to the Oil Device (53). The oiler will
automatically spray a very small amount of oil into the Paint Shaker as you use
it. Make sure you keep oil in the Oil Device (53) to avoid damaging the
Paint Shaker.
DISPOSING OF THE TOOL
If your tool has become damaged beyond repair, do not throw it away. Bring it to the
appropriate recycling facility.
